"Lady Grey, you should have told us you were coming! I would have greeted you outside!" All eyes turned toward the voice. No one else had made such a grand entrance, so this was clearly someone extraordinary. Oddly enough, the one who had greeted her was not Reginald, who was having his birthday today. It was his brother, Dominic Zimmerman, instead. Many people thought it was strange.

"George, what's going on? Your uncle seems like he's trying to steal the spotlight."

Hearing Ryan's words, George furrowed his brows too. "I had no idea about this. When did Uncle Dominic get to know people from the Elders' Council? And this woman called Lady Grey must hold quite a position there. Felix looked over. "Have you guys heard of the Elders' Council too?"

Now, it was their turn to be surprised. Ryan quickly explained, "The Elders' Council is an organization created by the Eight Great Martial Families. Of course, we know it. Is this your first time hearing about it, Mr. Zeller?"

Felix fell silent. He then remembered Jeffrey mentioning that the Eight Great Martial Families had their own Elders' Council. Truth be told, when he first heard the

announcement, he thought it was the same Elders' Council that wanted him dead. It was a false alarm, apparently.

"Have you heard of this Lady Grey before?" Felix asked.

George shook his head. "Never."

Then, George grew angry. "Uncle Dominic isn't even trying to hide his intentions anymore. It's my father's birthday, yet he invites someone important from the Elders' Council just to overshadow him and show everyone who the real future head of the Zimmerman family will be.

"How despicable!" The Eight Great Martial Families were already formidable. Who would dare disrespect their Council?

"Reginald, let me introduce Lady Grey of the Elders' Council. I invited her to celebrate your birthday. Wonderful surprise, isn't it?" Though Dominic had a friendly smile on his face, his eyes blazed with threats and warnings.

"I'm honored to have Lady Grey here," Reginald said politely.

The woman chuckled. "You're Mr. Dominic's brother. Of course, I couldn't turn him down when he asked me to come."

She was clearly showing support for Dominic, which made Reginald upset. But he had to

"Please follow me, Lady Grey."

After a few steps, she seemed to notice something. "I'll sit at that table."

Dominic looked puzzled but quickly replied, "Of course, I'll have it cleared-

"No need. There are empty seats, and that's enough for me. Go tend to your other duties."

Though they were not close, Victoria caught the look in Dominic's eyes and whispered darkly. "Lady Grey's coming to sit here, George! Don't say I didn't warn you. You know the consequences if Lady Grey finds anything displeasing."

She glared at Felix. "Especially you, boy. If you show any disrespect to Lady Grey, even Moonshadow Alliance couldn't protect you-not that you have their protection anymore."

If he could actually invite someone from Moonshadow Alliance, they would be here by now. He was clearly just lying and was trying to capitalize on the recent Walsh family incident again. Did he think everyone was a fool who would believe him so easily? As Victoria left, Felix noticed George's clenched fists and the veins bulging on his neck.
