The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
Billionaire With Husband 674
Chapter 674
"This is so delicious! I'll have to ask Nelly for more," Felix said to himself as he finished
the pasta.
Shortly after, the doorbell rang- it was Queenie Larrington, his new neighbor from Villa No. 2. She stood there holding something rolled up.
She explained, "I wasn't sure what to give a neighbor. I love painting, so I hope this is fine with you.
"Thank you, that's very thoughtful of you," Felix replied.
But Queenie did not stop there. She added hesitantly, "Could you take a look at it now? I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm not a professional, but I really enjoy painting."
"Of course," Felix agreed. He carefully unrolled the painting and was shocked to painting. see the
He exclaimed, "This is incredible! How did you capture me so well after meeting just once?
"So... it's good?" Queenie asked nervously.
"Beyond good. It's incredible! You've got some serious talent-you're definitely gifted." Queenie smiled at the compliment and left shortly after. Felix returned inside, still holding the painting, and placed it under the soft glow of his living room lights.
Under the warm lighting, the painting seemed to come to life. "She even managed to capture the soul," Felix murmured, studying his likeness in awe.
The eyes in the portrait seemed so vivid and almost alive. If he did not know better, he would think Queenie had known him for years instead of just one brief meeting.
He couldn't believe she wasn't a professional. It was crazy how dreams and reality didn't always align for everyone.
The next day, Felix decided it was time to buy a car. The clinic was within walking distance, but traveling farther would be much easier with a set of wheels.
As he passed Villa No. 4, a woman suddenly rushed out, holding a small boy in her arms. It was Willow, and she looked completely frantic.
"Darcy, no! You're scaring me!" she cried out.
The little boy, Darcy, was foaming at the mouth and convulsing violently. Felix immediately ran over and shouted, "Put him on the ground!"

Willow hesitated, her panic leaving her paralyzed. Felix quickly added, "I'm a doctor!"
His words broke through her panic, and she laid Darcy on the ground.
"He's having a seizure," Felix said quickly, assessing the boy. "Did he hit his head? Was there any kind of injury?"
Willow, her mind slightly clearer now, managed to reply, "Yes, he fell earlier and hit the edge of a table. There was a lot of blood, so I bandaged it up, but now this started. I already called 911.
Felix did not waste any more time. He pulled out a small case of acupuncture needles and began working on Darcy right there. Within minutes, the boy's convulsions eased, and his breathing stabilized.
"He should be okay for now," Felix said, standing up. "But I'm a traditional medicine practitioner, and with such a young child, it's better to let the hospital run some tests to be
sure.

Willow nodded, relief washing over her as she saw Darcy calm down, though he remained unconscious.
"Thank you, Mr. Zeller," she said gratefully. "I'll take Darcy to the hospital right now."
The truth was, Darcy's situation was much more dangerous than it appeared. Even if they waited for the ambulance and made it to the hospital in time, the impact from the fall had likely caused internal damage. It was pure luck-or fate-that Felix had been there to help. As Willow drove off with Darcy, Felix's phone rang. Seeing the name on the screen, he frowned slightly. It was Silas, someone who rarely ever called.
The moment Felix answered, Silas' panicked voice came through, saying, "Felix, I'm begging you-whatever you do, don't meet Zara. Please, don't do it!" 2
