The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
With Husband 680
Chapter 680
Felix had been so excited t night that he completely forgot to text Melissa and let her know he would not make it to work. After all, once the refining process started, he could not stop, even if he wanted to.
It was supposed to take a full day and night, but to his surprise, it werit much faster than expected.
Looks like you've just decided to throw in the towel," Melissa huffed as Felix walked into
the clinic.
Before he could respond, five men with menacing expressions barged into the clinic.
"Who's the doctor here?" one of them demanded.
Felix glanced up calmly. "That would be me. Are you here for treatment?"
The group by the collar. "So you're the doctor? You've got some nerve, being this young and running a clinic! I'm shutting this place down today."
leader, a young man, stormed over and grabbed 1
Felix stayed calm, but Melissa was not having it "Hey! What's that supposed to mean? Explain yourself!" she snapped.
The young man sneered, motioning for someone to step forward. A middle-aged man was helped into the clinic, his face pale and his steps unsteady.
"This is my dad. Yesterday, he came here for treatment, and today, he's so sick he can't even get out of bed. Are we settling this quietly, or do I call the cops?"
Melissa recognized the man immediately and hesitated, unsure of what to say. After all, Felix was young, and she could not rule out the possibility that he might have made a mistake with the prescription.
On the other hand, Felix did not seem fazed. He leaned slightly toward the door and called out, "Peter, can you handle this for me?"
Almost immediately, three burly men stormed in. Peter, one of Kurt's trusted men, had been stationed at the clinic since it opened, ensuring no trouble ever got out of hand.
"Don't worry, Mr. Zeller," Peter said, cracking his knuckles. "Leave this to me."
Before anyone could react, Peter grabbed the young man by the neck and growled, "Let's take this outside. We'll settle it there."
The commotion moved outside, and the clinic fell silent within minutes. To Melissa's astonishment, the young man soon reappeared, his face tear-streaked, sniffling and stammering apologies before Felix waved him away.

"Wow," Melissa exclaimed, wide-eyed. "This little clinic of yours has some serious backup. No wonder I noticed that car parked outside since yesterday."
Felix smiled faintly but did not bother explaining. With someone like Kurt around, minor issues like this were handled far more efficiently than he ever could.
A few minutes later, the clinic door opened again, and Queenie walked in, holding the hand of a girl who looked to be around eight years old.
"Doctor, my niece has been getting nosebleeds every day. Can you take a look at her?"
As she spoke, Queenie froze, her eyes locking on Felix. "Felix?"
Felix nodded casually. "Yeah. Let me check on the kid first."
It did not take long to diagnose the problem. The girl liked picking her nose, the air was unusually dry, and she had a mild case of sinusitis-it was nothing serious.
"Thank you, Felix," Queenie said gratefully. "I didn't know you were a practitioner of traditional medicine."
Felix smiled. "It's no problem. Just doing my job."
After they left, Melissa stared at him in disbelief. "Wait, that's it? You just gave her two acupuncture needles and a tube of erythromycin eye ointment? Can you even use that in a nose?" Felix sighed, clearly annoyed. "Why do you ask so many questions? Who's the doctor here, you
or me?"
Just as he sat back down, another patient-a middle-aged man-walked in. Melissa perked up, pleased to see more patients.
The man said he had been experiencing headaches. As Felix checked his pulse, a strange glint flickered in his eyes before he spoke.
"It's nothing serious. I'll prescribe you some medication. Take it for a week, and you'll be fine."
The man's tone turned icy before Melissa could fetch the prescription pad. "Is that so? Because the hospital told me I have a tumor in my brain. And you're just brushing me off? Do you know what I do to quacks like you?" Felix frowned and snapped back, "I can guarantee you don't have a tumor. If you don't believe me, you're welcome to leave right now.
The atmosphere in the clinic shifted instantly. The man stood up, and suddenly, an overwhelming pressure filled the room. Melissa gasped, and her eyes widened with shock. She blurted out, "Oceanus Realm? What's going on here?"
