The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
With Husband 719
Chapter 719
In the private room, Clement was incredibly nervous. He never imagined Felix's contact from Concord Bank would be Dorian Yardley, the prestigious branch manager himself.
"Dr. Zeller, I wasn't trying to keep secrets from you." After sitting down, Dorian smiled. He would have been in hot water if he had messed up this encounter.
"It's fine. Status isn't important to me since you're all my patients."
Dorian's smile widened. "No wonder your medical skills are so extraordinary at such a young age, Dr. Zeller! Few people could maintain such principles these days."
Felix waved it off and turned to Clement. "Let me introduce my friend, Clement Parson. He's the one I mentioned earlier who's facing some troubles. I'd appreciate it if you could help, Dorian." Clement rushed over to shake hands as Dorian spoke, "That's a small matter. Dr. Zeller saved my life, after all. I'd look like an ungrateful person if I couldn't help with something this simple."
By this point, Clement was too happy for words. It all made sense now. He did not expect Felix to have treated someone powerful like Dorian. Everyone would get sick regardless of their status, so having a skilled doctor as a friend was something anyone would want. When they returned to their neighborhood and parted ways, Clement went home to find Willow, who had obviously been waiting up.
As his wife, she knew exactly how much tonight's outcome meant. "How did it go, Clement?"
Clement was not tipsy at all, which worried her. In Dragonia's business culture, no drinking usually meant no deal. But then Clement suddenly lifted her up in excitement.
"We did it! Willow, you won't believe this-Felix's patient at Concord Bank was none other than the branch manager, Dorian Yardley, himself."
What? Willow was stunned. Did that mean they had somehow acquainted themselves with the most powerful person possible?
"And that's not all. You should've seen what happened with that snake, Vernon..."
After Clement finished the story, Willow finally relaxed. "That's wonderful! We really owe Felix our thanks."
"We sure do! I can tell Felix is one of those rare, genuine people who's so focused on medicine that he doesn't have any ulterior motives. Having him as our neighbor is truly a

"We need to visit his place and properly thank him soon. Our family's saved now, and Mr. Yardley even offered 500 million dollars instead of just 100 million dollars." With that kind of money, Clement could move forward with several land projects that had been stalled due to lack of funds. The company would definitely grow, Before Willow could speak, he lifted her up. "Is Darcy asleep?"
Willow knew what he was thinking and nodded shyly. "Yes, sound asleep."
Clement chuckled. "Let's have our own private celebration tonight. You've been through so much lately. I promise to get you some throat lozenges in the morning."
The next day, as Felix walked toward his clinic, he saw Melissa yelling at someone inside a shop.
"Hey, fatso! You're doing this on purpose, aren't you? I've never seen someone so thick-skinned! I dare you to come out here and argue with me! If you can't win against me, you'd better close up shop!" Dragonians always loved a good street drama, especially when it involved a pretty woman yelling. As such, a crowd had already gathered.
Seeing this, Felix rushed over and pulled Melissa into the clinic without hesitation.
