The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
Billionaire With Husband 83
Chapter 83
The debt his parents owed?
Feliz took the papers from Jolene and instantly frowned. "These are the company's debts from back then. What do they have to do with my parents?"
To his surprise, his words made Sabrina's body tremble with sheer rage. "Bullshit! My family had the least company shares back then, and we needed to pay off these debts before anyone acknowledged our worth. "Why else would I sell cars when I could've enjoyed my life as an heiress? Anyway, it all comes down to your parents' debt from back then. We've already paid back the debt, so it's only natural that you pay us back." Feliz inhaled deeply, suppressing the blazing flames in his chest. He feared he would rip the two women to shreds if he unleashed his rage.
These relatives of his had gotten a share of the company back then, yet they were now shamelessly doing this. "Mark my words. Don't blame me for taking extreme measures if you dare come to our house again." Jolene spoke up when Felix turned on his heel and was about to go back inside, "You can't avoid this. I may be civil while bringing this up to you today, but I won't be as nice the next * time." Ultimately, the mother and daughter duo had set their sights on Felix's villa. Plus, they knew Felix and Warren had cut ties.
They believed obtaining Felix's villa would be easy if they pressed on about the debt. After all, the villa cost over 20 million dollars, a massive and luxurious asset in their family's eyes. At around 11:00 pm, Wendy drove over to pick up Felix.
"Are you sure what I want will be there?" Felix asked.
Wendy tensed. "I'm not too sure. There's only a possibility that it'll be there, but I'm inexperienced at this. That's why I figured it'd be easier if you came along, Felix."
The place they were going to was a hotel's banquet hall. It was an auction held by Avesburgh's Traditional Medicine Association. However, the auction was merely a disguise. There were two ulterior motives. Firstly, it was a gathering of the Traditional Medicine Association's members. Secondly, it was to raise funds for the association. Avesburgh's Traditional Medicine Association had no miracle doctors. That said, they were

still a local association. So, people like the richest family, the Kinsleys, would provide some financial support for the association.
They also did so because it was a task from the head of their family. Besides, it didn't cost
them much to do it.
Naturally, Wendy received an invitation.
"We'd be wasting time anyway, even if we didn't do anything. So, it's worth going there as long as there's a possibility of finding what you want," she explained.
In truth, Wendy knew well that genuinely valuable things wouldn't appear at an auction of such level. She was merely using this as an excuse to spend more time with Felix.
Upon arriving at the banquet hall, Wendy naturally received all the attention since she was the event's sponsor. The association's chairman, Simon Lowell, and other relevant senior officials lined up on both sides to welcome her. "Thank you for gracing us with your presence, Ms. Kinsley. Please have a seat."
Wendy and Felix had sat at the table at the forefront of the banquet hall.
That was when Felix noticed someone whispering something into Simon's ear. Simon then hurried to the banquet hall's entrance.
"Interesting. It seems Mr. Lowell has invited a big shot for tonight's event," Felix murmured. He didn't care much for that since he had only attended to try out his luck. So, he couldn't be bothered with whomever Simon had invited. Soon enough, Simon and his senior executives flocked around a young man as they entered the hall.
Simon announced, "Everyone, today is the auction of Avesburgh's Traditional Medicine Association. We're honored to have invited Dr. Jordan Hall, the apprentice of the master healer, Wesley Cane! Everyone, please welcome him with a warm round of applause!" Wendy hurriedly joined in on the applause. Only small frys attended the event in the past, so she never paid them any mind. However, she was surprised that the association had successfully invited someone who was such a big deal this time.
Even if nobody knew who Jordan was, the sole fact that he was Wesley's apprentice was enough to make others respect him.
Not to mention, Wendy had previously met Jordan at her family's banquet. She even saw Jordan standing alongside the goddess of war.
