"Is it because I'm a martial artist? How did he figure that out?" Felix wondered to himself.

He got in the car without resistance. In a country flooded with weapons, anyone bold enough to show a gun was surely ready to use it.

The submachine guns couldn't hurt him, but gunfire at an airport would draw massive attention. News coverage would follow, which would kill any chance of completing his mission. After all, who wouldn't make headlines after surviving multiple gunshots? "That's more like it," said the blonde man, satisfied with Felix's compliance. At his nod, the van started moving.

Two hours later, they had left the city behind as they drove through endless desert, which was typical Gunerian landscape. They continued off-road for another hour before reaching a compound surrounded by high walls. Armed guards at the entrance meant this was no ordinary facility.

"You can get out now!"

As Felix stepped down, he could not determine the compound's purpose. A dozen gunmen surrounded him, with snipers visible on the walls, too.

"Before taking you inside, I'm curious about Dragonian martial artists. You're my first catch, so how about a fight?"

The blond man smiled. "Yes. Beat me, and you walk."

Red light flickered around his hands as his body convulsed, crackling with energy. Within seconds, he visibly grew taller and broader. It was an unsettling transformation. "Dragonian martial artists are all just hype!"

Watching him charge, Felix assessed his speed. It was comparable to a Martial King, impossible for someone untrained. The strange transformation must have enhanced him. As the man got close, Felix's kick sent him flying like a broken kite. He bounced back up immediately, face dark with rage. "You're dead!"

As the red glow intensified around his hands, promising another transformation, a voice rang out, "Enough! Jed, are you causing trouble again?"

A man in a white coat appeared. One glare from him, and Jed Shawry immediately calmed down, bowing respectfully. "Dr. Phillips, I... I was just having some fun with him." Elliott Phillips?

Felix turned with interest. This was one of the Gunerian doctors who had challenged

Dragonian traditional medicine in Yartford. He had been the most dismissive toward traditional medicine, ignoring even his mentor's words.

Only after Felix cured a cancer patient in one minute right in front of Elliott did he finally acknowledge their skill. Now, Felix had run into him again after just arriving in Guneria.

"You... You're Felix Zeller?" One look was all Elliott needed. It was understandable since Felix had given him his only paradigm shift. Even decades wouldn't erase his memory of Felix. "Dr. Phillips. It's been a while."

Once confirmed, Elliott could barely contain his excitement.
