The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
Billionaire With Husband 856
Chapter 856
"It really is you, Dr. Zeller," Elliott said.
Jed stood dumbfounded. How did this random Dragonian martial artist know Elliott?
Elliott might not have been a big deal himself, but his mentor was legendary. That was why nobody dared to disrespect him.
"My sincere apologies for the trouble, Dr. Zeller. That one demonstration from Felix had completely won Elliott over back then, which explained his respectful demeanor. "Jed, come apologize!"
Jed complied immediately in fear. After all, his future depended on Elliott's good graces.
Once they settled in a room with coffee, Felix asked, "You're conducting human experiments here, aren't you?"
Elliott pondered before responding, "My mentor always said the most skilled Dragonian traditional medicine practitioners were also martial artists. Seeing you easily defeat Jed proves that point. I'm sure you noticed he isn't ordinary, right?"
Seeing Felix nod, he continued, "Yes. We're doing biochemical human trials, but I can't disclose more than that."
Felix did not press further. It reminded him of what the Steele family had done in Dragonia. It was a similar concept, but Gunerian medical technology was more advanced. Jed appeared completely normal, unlike the blood-drinking monsters the Steeles had created. But he needed to confirm one thing. "Are you experimenting on Dragonian martial artists?"
Elliott quickly waved him down. "No, you've misunderstood! Jed's impulsiveness might have given you that impression. While we do invite Dragonian martial artists here through various means, we never harm them.
"They just spar with our research subjects to help us identify weaknesses. We pay them well before they leave."
He pointed out the window. "Look. There's a Dragonian fighter who came three days ago."
Outside, a Dragonian man happily accepted a black briefcase before driving away.
"I hope you're telling the truth. If you're experimenting on my people, I won't let it slide." Felix could already tell whether Elliott was being honest just by looking into his eyes. He hadn't even needed his needles. "Rest assured. My mentor deeply respects Dragonian traditional medicine and understands the power of its martial artists. We'd never take that risk. Guneria's population provides enough test subjects. "Besides, our goal is enhancing our people's physiology. Dragonians and Gunerians have

different physical characteristics, so even slight variations can dramatically affect results. We're not foolish enough to compromise our research." After some small talk, Felix prepared to leave.
"Dr. Zeller, here's my number. While I can't speak for elsewhere, I can help with most situations in Guneria. Contact me if you need anything." "Thanks. I appreciate it."
In the courtyard, Jed eagerly followed Felix and volunteered to escort him out. He was clearly trying to make amends.
As Felix was about to enter the car, he paused and turned. "Whatever your biochemical research is for, don't use it for evil purposes-especially not against Dragonia, Now, let me show you what a martial artist can really do."
