ROSE'S POV "I am Emily."

She introduced herself and stretched her hand to me. I stared at her blankly. She had black hair with striking brown eyes that complemented her skin beautifully. She stood inches below Tamira who was also staring at me like she still didn't like me. Cali muttered, "Don't be rude, Rose. She is stretching her hand to you. Take it..."

I mentally facepalmed myself and immediately made a smile appear on my face as I apologized to Emily. "Pardon me, Emily. It's so nice to meet you and I would have taken your hand but I am kind of naked under this sheet and I wouldn't want to humiliate myself before the Alpha King."

"Please forgive my manners. I promise to give you a hug right after I am in something other than my birthday suit." I added lightly, hoping that Emily would understand me.

Emily smiled back at me, "I completely understand, Rose."

Oh... she knows my name...

"Don't be surprised that I know your name. The Alpha King told me about you when I was here to get your measure you while you were unconscious."

Emily revealed that Alpha King Josh had called her during the wee hours of the day so she could get my dress size, my trouser size, my top, and also my shoe size. Apparently, Emily measured me while I was asleep and would have seen me naked as well. Holy sh*t!

How many more people did he invite to see my f*cking birthday suit?

"I am here to help you settle in fashion-wise." Emily concluded her introduction, pointing to the shopping bags she came in with.

"Thank you." I said to Emily and added this part inaudibly, "I guess."

Alpha King Ayden saved me from the awkward staring contest between Emily and me when he said, "Seems like you have done a good job here, Emily. I will be leaving you with her soon."

"Thank you for calling on me, My King." Emily bowed to Alpha King Josh and he nodded before shifting his attention to Tamira.

"I must say, you have been helpful these past few days, Tamira. Thank you for weakening the wolfbane when I called on you."

Alpha King Josh said to Tamira who smiled ... well to her, she smiled but to me, it was more like a grinning face.

"I was simply doing my duties, My King." Tamira uttered solemnly, like the gentlest woman on earth.

Tamira and Alpha King Josh exchanged a look that seemed almost intimate to me, reminding me of his exchange with Nora yesterday morning and what that caused. I honestly wouldn't want a repeat of yesterday but with the look on their faces, yesterday might happen all over again. But this time, I might have to fight a healer for him- What the actual F*ck, Rose!

"Just accept that you want him just like he wants you." Cali chimed. "You both are more or less a calamity waiting to happen."

Sadly, I had to admit that Cali was right. How long would it take me to break and follow my urge to jump the same man that deflower me? Just how long would it take?

"Tamira, kindly check on her so we can be sure the wolfbane didn't do any damage to her system. She has been acting irritated since she regained consciousness and she wouldn't stop yelling."

Alpha King Josh revealed to Tamira, causing me to growl at him and he used that as an example, saying, "Can you see that?"

"It's normal to be easily irritated as one recovers from poisonous fluids. I can assure you that nothing is damaged within her and that she will be fine before you know it."

Tamira announced without taking as much as a step from the same spot she has been standing ever since she entered the room. Alpha King Josh expressed my feelings, revealing that we were thinking alike.

"You didn't even touch her, Tamira. How would you know if her fever had broken or not." Alpha King Josh asked.

Tamira answered, "My senses as a Healer are ever active, My King. I can perceive her health from here. I can feel her temperature too without touching-"

Thankfully, a knock put an end to Tamira's boring explanation. But unfortunately, the voice that resonated through the room after Alpha King Josh answered the door again, made me cringe.

"Can I come in?" Beta Adam's voice hit my eardrums and I reacted instantly.

"No!" I yelled before Alpha King Josh could say anything. "No, you can't come in. Your face reminds me of a traumatic experience that I am yet to heal from."

Plus, I was still naked underneath the thin sheets.

"I just wanted to apologize for what happened last night, Rose. I believe you will see how sorry I am if you let me come in and see my face."

Those words rolled off Beta Adam's tongue from the corridor and I shook my head with determination within my room.

"Apology not accepted. Try again later." I voiced, adding under my breath, "Try again when I am not naked under a thin sheet."

Emily heard me and she chuckled, breaking the tension in the room.

Alpha King Josh sighed and faced me, "I will leave you to get ready and dressed, Rose. I will be waiting for you in the dining hall with breakfast, of course."

I stared at Alpha King Josh blankly... like he was speaking a language I didn't understand. We both stared at each other until Tamira cleared her throat, "I will like to return to the clinic, My King. I have patients waiting to be healed." "Of course. You can leave, Healer Tamira."

Alpha King Josh responded and even followed her out of the room without sparing me another glance. Such a simp for pretty women.

He did face Emily before he closed the door behind him, "I leave her to you, Emily. Help her to the dining hall when you are done."

Emily nodded eagerly and she smiled at me the moment Alpha King Josh closed the door, leaving just the both of us in the room. I didn't know her enough to know how to chat with her so I kept quiet until she said something. "Where do we begin, Rose? From what I heard, you haven't showered since yesterday. That's bad for your honeycomb I must say."

Emily declared, losing me in her words.

I might have gotten lost, but Cali didn't. My wolf beast laughed like the wolf she was within me right after Emily mentioned "Honeycomb" which was the main reason I was confused.

I mean, I didn't own a honeycomb. I wasn't a bee neither was I a bear that fed on honey... wait a second!

"She can't be referring to my v*gina and it's juice?"

I asked Cali since I couldn't ask Emily directly. My wolf beast made fun of me before she answered with, "Obviously. I would have said you were stinking but she said your pu*sy is stinking, Rose."

"Don't look at me like you are some prude who hasn't been banged like a dirty sl*t before, Rose." Emily shrugged when I stared at her with a wide mouth. "You look like the kind of b*tch that like to hear dirty words as she is f*cked from behind..." Oh, my goddess!

Cali answered that question in a way I didn't like one bit, "She is a girl I have fallen in love with. We can definitely befriend her."

Both Emily and Cali said to me at the same time... speaking like they had read each other's mind. I didn't need anyone to tell me that I was in a new form of trouble with these two.

But she was better than Nora... at least... or for now... who knew what tomorrow held?
