The Unshackled Queen: Never Say Never -
Chapter 1960
He then eyed Remington craftily, suggesting, “Mr.
Lyons, Hannah could prove exceedingly valuable to us.
If we could secure her loyalty, leveraging the Compton and Cadilind influence, you could control significant external and internal networks.”
Contemplative, Remington raised an eyebrow.
“And you believe you can ensure her allegiance to our cause?”
Conor was quiet for some time.
Despite limited interactions, he understood Hannah’s resolve and methods well.
“She is not someone to be underestimated,” Conor thought to himself.
“Truthfully, even confining her within the manor might not guarantee her compliance,” Conor admitted.
Remington responded with a dismissive snort, “It’s wise to recognize that.
Let’s not push her further.
I’m not ready to sever ties just yet.”
“Understood,” Conor agreed.
Hannah had just returned to the hospital where changes in security were evident.
Dotson and Dilan were stationed at the entrance.
They greeted her eagerly as she entered.

“Boss! How’s everything?”
“It’s stable for now,” Hannah assured them.
“I’m certain Wilfred doesn’t have the company’s seal.
There’s no immediate threat to the company.”
“Where is the seal currently?” one of them inquired.
Hannah bypassed the question, focusing instead on immediate concerns.
“How’s Wallace’s condition today?”
“Not well,” Dotson replied grimly.
“The doctor’s just issued a critical illness notice after his blood pressure plummeted several times today.
He’s barely holding on.”
“Has the test result been confirmed?” Hannah asked.
“Yes, it has,” Dotson confirmed.
Then he urged Dilan, “Show her the test results, quickly!”
“Here, here it is!”
Dilan promptly handed over the medical report to Hannah.
She scanned the document, her expression tightening as she noted several abnormally high values indicative of medication overdose rather than poisoning.
“Who’s currently overseeing Wallace’s treatment? Take me to them immediately,” she commanded.
Dilan prepared to stay back as instructed, but Dotson interjected, “I’ll accompany you, boss.”
Dilan halted Dotson’s movement, asserting firmly, “You just got back.
You don’t really know what’s going on.
Don’t waste time.
Stay here and keep an eye on Mr.
Compton.
I’m going with the boss.”
With that, he ushered Hannah forward.
Dotson paused and self-consciously touched his nose, pondering whether his brother disliked him.
