Having done everything she could, Hannah took a deep breath and approached the ward door.

However, she hesitated, lacking the courage to go inside.

She leaned against the door, momentarily lost in thought.

“Boss, you must be exhausted after all this.

Why don’t you rest in the next ward?”

“Yeah, Boss.

We’ve got everything under control here.

Trent Compton is in the next ward.

You should get some rest.”

Hannah massaged her temples.

“Are Trent and the others in the next ward?”

“Yes,” Dotson confirmed.

“Mr.

Compton is seriously injured and needs a few days to recover.”

Hannah, looking weary, replied, “You stay here.

Let me know immediately if you hear anything from Dr.

Burton.”

“Alright, Boss.

You should get some rest now.”

Hannah walked to the next ward, where Keith was still with Trent.

They tried to get up as soon as they saw her, but she stopped them.

“Don’t move.

You’re injured.

Just lie down and rest.” She sat on the bed across from them.

“I’m just here to take a break.

You don’t need to worry about me.”

Keith and Trent exchanged glances, sensing something was off with Hannah’s mood.

Trent nudged Keith to ask what was bothering her, but Keith hesitated and nudged Trent back.

Eventually, Trent, looking pale and holding his abdomen, broke the silence.

“Hannah, did something happen to Father?”

“Nothing serious,” Hannah replied, leaning back with her eyes closed.

“You two don’t need to worry.

I’ll handle the rest.

Your priority is to recover.”

Trent immediately spoke up.

“I’m not that badly injured.

If the doctor hadn’t forbidden me from getting out of bed, I’d be standing guard outside the ward right now!”

Hannah opened her eyes and gave Trent a small smile.

“No need.

I don’t want to have to take care of you as well as Wallace.”

Trent coughed awkwardly, rubbing his nose in embarrassment.

Just then, something occurred to Hannah.

“I need to ask you both something.

Who has Wallace been in contact with the most recently? I want you to tell me everything, even if it seems unimportant or you don’t suspect them.”

Keith and Trent exchanged another glance, falling silent.

Keith said, breaking the silence, “I’ve already told you about those I was suspicious of.

As for the others… well, the two of us have had the most contact with Wallace.

So if there’s any suspicion, it would be on us.”

Trent nodded in agreement.

“Ever since the Chadwich family was taken down, Father has been investigating their infiltrators within the Compton family.

Apart from us, very few people have access to him.

Joselyn, for instance, is still locked up at the manor.

She hasn’t been near him.”

The situation seemed stuck; there were no suspects other than the two.
