Celeste felt even worse when her poor health was revealed in front of Grace and Gary.

Celeste was very upset. The both of them had been great to her.

Alas, she was too disappointed.

The doctor looked up at Celeste to find her looking absolutely apologetic. Then, she sighed and said, "Miss White, why are you so stressed? Judging from what I see, you must feel insecure, yes?" The doctor's tone was casual, but she'd hit the nail right on the head.

This made Celeste even more shocked.

She subconsciously glanced at Gary, and he had a lost look on his face. His handsome visage was very pale.

Celeste quickly let out a chuckle and said, "I don't think that's the case, Doctor."

She was afraid to even look at Grace. Celeste feared that Grace would be disappointed and frustrated with her.

The gynecologist replied, "Miss White, there's no error with the liver toxicology report. There is an issue with your body, and if you don't have stasis, then could it be stress? There's no evidence of cirrhosis or fatty liver, so it must be mental causes. Have you been very stressed studying overseas?"

The doctor was very friendly, and he was gentle with his words. However, they were still very frightening.

Celeste shook her head and said, "Not at all. But I have been very busy recently, and I haven't been eating my meals on time. I'll be sure to pay more attention to that next time."

"Is there a reason for your irregular meals?" The doctor asked.

"It hasn't been going on for a long time," Celeste replied hurriedly. "Don't be so serious, you'll scare my aunt."

Celeste hoped that the doctor's words would not scare Grace.

The doctor looked over at Grace.

Grace was frowning, and she said, "I'm not afraid, I'm just worried about you. You keep everything inside, and this hurts you."

"Aunt Grace, I'm fine. It's not that serious." Celeste tried her best to comfort.

Grace saw how hard Celeste was trying to comfort her and asked, "Doctor, how do we treat her? I hope this is treatable. Celeste is still young, and she has her whole life ahead of her." "Anemia is easy to treat. She just needs to be on a strict nutritional regimen, and she'll be okay after it's done."

"Right. I'll supervise her and make sure she eats well every day," Grace replied.

The doctor smiled. "It's her stress that's causing all this, to be honest."

"Celeste is way too sensible for her own good." Grace felt a little guilty, and she continued, "She doesn't want me to be worried. I'm the one who's stressing her out." Celeste looked at Grace in shock, and she felt touched and upset at the same time.

"Mrs. Jones, be rest assured that she will recover soon. Her hormonal imbalances aren't that serious, and her anemia is recent. However, her uterus doesn't seem to be doing too well." The gynecologist paused for a moment before she turned to Gary and said, "Sir, please step out. The next topic of conversation is only for the women."

"No way," Gary retorted immediately.

He had to know, as Celeste was his girlfriend. He was afraid that he would miss something if he stepped out.

The doctor was stunned.

Celeste immediately became nervous and said, "Doctor, have Aunt Smith and Gary leave. I'll stay here alone." The gynecologist had mentioned her uterus, so Celeste didn't want Grace to know too much about her pregnancy. She didn't want anyone to know about it at all.

Grace immediately understood what Celeste meant and sighed. "Oh, Celeste. I already know! There's nothing to hide!" Grace felt that she had to face this issue head on. If not, it would end up causing more harm to Celeste.

Moreover, Gary had to be there to listen. If he didn't, then he wouldn't appreciate all that Celeste had done for him.

It wasn't like men did not understand what women experienced, but Grace was worried that Gary might take it lightly. Furthermore, his aloof personality might end up hurting Celeste.

"To be honest, this is my daughter-in-law. Gary is my son, so please help her. We will comply with whatever treatment plan you propose."

The doctor was stunned. She'd guessed as much, but she didn't expect Grace to admit it so openly.

Meanwhile, Celeste was equally astonished at Grace's words.

Celeste remained in a stunned silence for a long time. How did Grace know about her pregnancy?

Grace had even acknowledged her relationship with Gary.

That meant that Grace had accepted Celeste.

However, did she deserve it?

Celeste pursed her lips tightly.

On the other hand, Gary's face was extremely pale and shock filled his gaze. His handsome face was expressionless as he said to Celeste, "I told mom about the miscarriage, and we can't hide it from the doctor either. Since we're already here, let's face it together."

Celeste was in turmoil, and it felt like she'd been run over by a truck. She was shocked.

"Let's face it together as a family. Don't worry, just tell the truth," Grace said.

The doctor added, "That's exactly what I wanted to talk about."

"Alright, let's hear it." Gary agreed as soon as he heard the doctor's words.

The gynecologist nodded and said, "It's rare to see a family so united. However, the most important thing is Celeste's attitude towards the whole

situation."

Although Celeste's mind was in a mess, she still nodded seriously. "I have no qualms about it. Just give it to me straight, doctor."

"Don't stress yourself out too much. I've known your mother-in-law for a very long time, and I met her when the two youngest sons of the Jones family were still in her belly. She is a very generous woman, so don't be afraid to ask her any questions. She can give you good advice as she has far more experience than you."

"You young people don't know how to take care of yourselves. Can't you hold in your passion for one another?"

Celeste blushed.

She and Gary usually went wild whenever they were together.

However, she couldn't bring herself to say it as it was so awkward.

Fortunately, Gary answered the doctor as he blushed slightly. "It was my fault, I didn't know how to control myself."

The doctor chuckled and said, "Mr. Smith, you have a very striking physique, and it's normal for you to be like that at your age. However, you have to control yourself when your girlfriend is pregnant, and you can't damage her womb. Being too rough might hurt her, so you should be gentler."

Celeste's face was as red as a tomato, and she wanted to stick her head in the sand. This was so embarrassing!

On the other hand, Gary nodded earnestly. "You're right, I get it. I'll be more careful in the future."

He thought of the times he'd slept with Celeste. He was indeed very rough, and he had hurt her before. Perhaps he was the true culprit behind all of this.

Then, the gynecologist said, "Do you have the medical report of the miscarriage?"

Celeste replied anxiously, "Ah, the report is still in England. I didn't take it with me."

Hence, the doctor was a little disappointed.

Then, Gary suddenly piped up. "I have it with me."

Celeste was startled and she looked over at Gary, who took out his phone. "I took photos and saved them in a folder on my phone. Please take a look."

As he spoke, he handed the phone to the doctor.

The doctor scrolled through them and read the reports carefully.

It seemed quite serious indeed.

After the doctor read the report, she said, "Honestly, it looks like stress to me. You've been way too stressed, Celeste, until the point that your hormones are all out of balance. Please relax, okay?" "Okay." Celeste nodded obediently.

"You're still young, so you need to enjoy your life. Don't be so stressed. How long do you have till graduation?"

Gary replied, "Two and a half years."

"Don't have kids at that time. You'll be back home after two years, right?"
