Celeste nodded firmly. "Yes, well be home."

"Okay, then I'll educate you on how to properly manage a pregnancy then. Right now, you should avoid getting pregnant and do as I say. If so, you'll recover very quickly. However, that's the easy part. What's important is that you destress, Celeste." The gynecologist was still worried about that part.

Grace looked over at Gary and said, "Celeste is fine, it's just that we pressure her too much. Also, Gary's temper is horrid, and he must've stressed Celeste out. You must be tired being with him, Celeste." Celeste was about to say something when Grace replied, "Doctor, I believe that Celeste can take care of herself. Of course, you should know how to treat Celeste from now on, Gary."

Gary nodded obediently, and it was rare for him not to refute.

Grace was surprised as well. It seemed that Gary was truly remorseful about what happened to Celeste.

After all, Gary was a kind hearted man deep down.

The doctor chuckled and turned to look at Gary. "Be gentler okay? Men should always be careful with girls."

Gary nodded. "You're right. I've learned my lesson."

"Good. It's not too late to fix things." The gynecologist smiled at Gary as she advised him.

Gary nodded and said, "Yup, I'll be gentler in the future!"

Celeste was mortified. This was an extremely embarrassing topic, and what was worse was that Gary was following along obediently.

Celeste blushed and ducked her head, not knowing how to respond.

The doctor gave her some instructions, prescribed some medicine, and explained the effects to them in detail.

Gary and Grace were more anxious than Celeste, and they asked a myriad of questions about the medication. Celeste was touched at how Grace kept asking questions and even took notes on her phone. They were all very worried about her health.

To be honest, Celeste wasn't all that concerned about her own health. She felt that she had troubled everyone else instead.

On the contrary, the doctor was quite relaxed as she prescribed some vitamins. "If things don't improve over the winter break, then she'll have to take stronger medications. For now, proper nutrition would do. Please eat the thyroid medication, and make sure to de-stress

"Okay."

"Don't take any contraceptives." The doctor reminded them once again.

Gary nodded in acknowledgement.

After that, Grace was about to leave with Gary and Celeste when the doctor added, "I'm going to have to speak to Celeste alone."

Both Grace and Gary were very nervous. "What about?"

Gary asked without thinking, "Can't I be here to listen in?"

The gynecologist replied, "Don't worry, I won't talk about anything else with your girlfriend. I just want to give her some advice, and she'll be embarrassed if you're here. There are some things you can't hear about, got it?"

Gary was about to say something else when his mother dragged him out.

Then, the gynecologist and Celeste were left alone in the room. Celeste felt more at ease with a female doctor.

"Celeste, I want to talk to you about your hormonal imbalances."

Celeste paused for a moment before she nodded.

"Yes, go ahead."

"You need to tell me the truth."

"All right."

"Do you have any... amorous desires? Do you lust for your boyfriend when he kisses you?"

Celeste was taken aback and she took a deep breath. "Yes, but I'm more passive. If I don't want to sleep with him, then I'll feel repulsed even though I accept it."

"Since you can feel aroused, then it's not that serious. Studies have shown that a lot of women in our country have greatly repressed their sexual urges."

Celeste pursed her lips. It was so embarrassing to talk about this.

"There is a natural way to fix this, and that's to enjoy the process. Your body will produce a lot of oxytocin when you do, and it will rebalance your hormones. If you suppress it, you also reduce the secretion of oxytocin, got it?"

Celeste blushed before she nodded.

Then, the doctor teased her. "Take it from me, enjoy it while you can. It's not like you have the stamina to do it when you're in your thirties and forties."

"Plus, you should relax. Your boyfriend is so worried about you, and you mother-in-law is a great person. She's even more worried about you than he is! What are you stressed about?"

Celeste's heart skipped a beat. The doctor hit the nail straight on the head.

Celeste nodded without any hesitation.

"What's there to be afraid of? Gary loves you, so don't think so lowly of yourself. The worst thing that can happen to a person is self-deprecation, and how can you expect someone to love you if you don't love yourself? True strength comes not from words, but from the inside. Silly girl, you lack confidence, and it's ruining your health."

Celeste admitted that the doctor was right. She lacked confidence the most, but she seemed unable to get any.

Then, the doctor said, "Go on, don't worry so much and be sure to take more initiative especially during sex. Of course, be sure to avoid pregnancy, got it?"

Celeste's face was still red when she left the room.

She was so ashamed.

The moment she left the room, she saw Gary at the door with an anxious expression on his face. He asked impatiently, "What did the doctor say? Why are you blushing so hard?" Grace smacked her son on the shoulder and said, "Why are you asking? There's a reason why the doctor didn't let you stay for the conversation. I'm sure Celeste knows what to do." Gary didn't say anything else after hearing his mother's words, but he was still a little worried.

Celeste shook her head and averted her gaze from Gary.

The doctor had asked her to take the lead.

How should she go about it then?

Hence, she didn't speak to Gary, but her face was still as red as a fire truck. Her embarrassment was clear, and she had complicated feelings especially when it came to Grace.

"Gary, go get the car and stash the reports and medications in there. Make a proper folder to keep everything in order when we get home," Grace instructed her son.

"Got it." Gary then went off to get the car.

Meanwhile, Grace and Celeste waited downstairs for him.

Then, Grace muttered in a soft tone, "Celeste, you silly girl. You've gone through so much, and yet you refused to say anything to me. I know you're afraid that I'll worry, but who else are you going to tell? Please talk to me next time. I know I'm not your mother, but I am a woman. I know what you're going through."

Celeste's eyes welled up with tears and she was very moved. Then, she said in a choked voice, "Aunt Smith..."

Grace caressed Celeste's face before she hugged her tightly and patted Celeste on the back.

"My dear, I know it's hard being with Gary. He has a strange personality, and he's never called Heinz his father. Look at how stubborn he can be."

In fact, Celeste knew why Gary never addressed Heinz as his dad.

He'd told her the reason before.

"Nevertheless, you've changed him little by little. Even then, I have to admit that I play a role in Gary's personality being the way that it is." Grace let go of Celeste and gazed at her. "Gary grew up without his father by his side, and he was with me the whole time. Both of us lived a hard life."

"Celeste, you two shouldn't worry about anything. You can do it," Grace said.

Then, Celeste nodded earnestly in reply.

Gary spotted Grace hugging Celeste as he drove over, and he was rather moved by the sight. He shouted, "Mom, Celeste, let's go!"

After they boarded the car, Grace said, "Take me back to the Jones Estate. I'm going to see your father, while you can take Celeste to the mall."

"Why are we going to the mall?" Gary frowned.

Frankly, Grace wanted to slap her son upside the head.

She grumbled, "To take Celeste shopping of course? Get her some skincare products and clothes. It's rare for you to come home, so why stay cooped up in the house?"
