Chapter 38

Alpha Niyol’s POV

I held her hand firmly, taking her with me to the car. I didn’t want my subordinates to hear our conversation.

And going to the office would make it worse because I didn’t know how I was going to control my anger.

“Get lost!” I barked at the driver.

He immediately fled from my presence, seeing how angered I was.

“Let’s talk in the car, mother.” I said, not looking at her.

I stepped into the car, waiting patiently for her to get in. Patience has never being one of my virtue when I am extremely angry. But I had to give her the leverage because she is my mother.

I watched her getting in the car, her face filled with anger too. Really? Was she getting angry at me?

“Why can’t we speak in the office?” She asked.

“Do you really want to speak in the office?” I asked her, getting more angry.

“Nevermind. I already told you what I want.” she said, obviously understanding what I meant.

“Why? Is it that hard to accept her?”

“Are you still asking me why after seeing her eyes? Can’t you see the gravity of the situation?”

“Situation? There isn’t any situation here. It’s all based on baseless and absurd thinking.”

“Baseless? Did you care to find out why she was wandering around in the forest? Do you know why she was obviously a packless wolf?” My mother asked, getting pissed.

“It’s obvious that there was a reason for it. She was like that because of people like you!” I said, gritting my teeth.

“People like me? Are you being disrespectful? I am still your mother!”

“And I am still the alpha!” I really don’t like shoving my authority on her, but she really was getting me pissed.

Then I added in fury. “I can’t believe you of all people would hang out my dirty linen in public! Can’t I have privacy even with my mate? First, the news of my mate got out before I even announced it and then those women of yours started spreading rumors about my mate! What is the main point here? Are you trying to drive me crazy?”

“Mother, can’t I at least lean on you over something? Can’t I boast that my mother would always get my back even when everyone is pointing their fingers at me? Can’t you be my mother for once? I heard mothers will go through hell just to see their children happy. I wonder why the reverse has to be the case when it comes to you!”

I watched as her eyes started tearing up and she burst into sobs. I won’t be tricked by those tears. I really had to be strict with her.

“You know I always got your back! Which mother wouldn’t want the best for her son?”

“The best? Just like the way you wanted the best for Erika and I? And have you forgotten what that best led to? Do you need me to remind you?” I asked, staring at her.

The very thought of Erika’s death got me riled up again and I just wish to go home and cuddle my mate.

But since I couldn’t do that right now, I thought I would rather go for a run to clear my head.

“That’s… that’s different, son. You know that’s different. I already regretted what I did but…”

“It’s obvious you only regretted, but you haven’t actually gotten the message yet. Listen to me carefully, mother. This would be my last warning to you and your minions. Stay clear of my mate and anything relating to her.” I told her in a serious tone.

Then I opened the door to leave. But before then I turned to look at her again. “Mother, don’t make me regret forgiving you.”

“Son, I am doing this for your own good! I don’t want…”

I didn’t wait to listen to her explanation. I left her in the car, but instead of going to the office, I changed into my wolf and dashed into the forest.

I needed to clear my head before going to the office.

When I got back from the forest, my beta brought me my clothes. I changed into it before going to the office for work.

I worked until it was getting a little late for dinner. I remembered that Koko might be waiting for me, so I quickly finished up the last work before leaving the rest for Chester to tidy up. Not before he gave me a glare, of course.

That was a whole lot of work that might keep him up all night long.

I didn’t mind. I needed to see my mate tonight. I didn’t know how long I was going to take in my outstation work.

My own work might also keep me up all night long!

The driver drove me to the palace entrance. I managed to hold myself from running inside. When I got to the passage leading to our rooms, I met her and my sister on their way to the dining room.

“Oh! Thankfully you are back!” Laci said, sounding relieved.

She turned to look at Koko.” Are you ready to eat now? I am bleeding all over my mouth trying to talk you into eating! I… ouch!”

I looked at my mate who was feeling embarrassed. She just pinched my sister to stop her from babbling more. I never knew she had such a cute side to her.

I let out a soft chuckle which earned me a murderous glare from Laci.

“Hey! Will you guys stop your lovey dovey? Smiling over my misfortune! Let’s eat already. I still need to go back to my house.” Laci said, pouting.

I didn’t want to waste time either. I really wanted to spend as much time with her as possible.

We ate our dinner quietly and a bit slowly. I quickly finished my dinner so I can go and shower.

Before leaving I gave my sister a mind link. She grinned at my message before nodding slightly.

I smiled at her gratefully leaving them to continue their meal.

Two hours later, my sister sent me a message. I quickly stood up and left my chambers quietly.

I knocked softly before opening the door. There was no one in the room but I could hear the sound of shower from the bathroom. She must be taking her bath.

I wanted to leave to give her privacy, but I heard her voice, saying, “Is that you, Laci? Please can you get me my night gown? I forgot to take it with me.”

I would have actually loved her without the night gown on. But, I had to do as she said. I kept quiet because I don’t want her to feel flustered.

I saw the nightgown neatly kept on the couch. I went to the bathroom and stretch out my hands to give her.

“Can’t you come in? I just started bathing and I don’t want to wet it with my hands. Please place it on the dress stand.”

Great! Now she was testing my patience.

“Are you sure about that?” I asked.

“Of course I am… wait, why do you sound like your brother? Are you pranking me? This is not funny!” She said.

I did want to trouble her, but she asked for it!

Before she could say anything more, I strode quickly towards her.

“You… what are… what are you doing here?” She stuttered.

With a sly smile, I entered the shower with her. “You called me inside and… I suddenly had the urge to bath… with you.”

She was having a hot bath and her skin was red and alluring. I felt myself hooked in her body. I ran my eyes all over her body, letting out a muffled g***n.

Before she could say anything, my lips were already on hers and I sucked on it slowly. I savored her delicious taste, my hands roaming all over her body.

“Hmm… arrhh!” She m****d, my hands were playing with her supple breasts.

I seemed not to get enough of it. I was soaking wet, but I didn’t care!

I felt her tiny hands trying to remove my light clothing. Although, I wanted her to undress me, but it was taking forever!

Before her clumsy hands could move any further again, there was a loud tear as I tore off my evening gown.

I saw her eyes widened when her it travelled to my chest. “Sorry baby, but I think we need to move directions.”

I picked her up and headed straight to the bed. Placing her gently on the bed, I removed my wet pants.

She let out a gasp when her eyes travelled down to my shaft. It seemed she was surprised at the size.

I climbed the bed towards her, stealthily. “You know it isn’t the first time.”

She swallowed hard, still staring out it. Her reaction made me wanted to burst out laughing. Was she serious? We were in the middle of something here!

But all she was probably worried about was the size of my shaft!
