Twice Rejected
Chapter 50

Alpha Niyol’s POV

“Are you deaf? I asked what the hell happened at the supermarket that made my mate not to come out!” I roared at him. “What the f**k is your job, if you can’t give me a detailed explanation on what went wrong within one month of my absence from this palace!”

The Butler fell in his knees as he began to narrate everything that had been happening in and out of the palace.

By the time he finished with his explanation my eyes had turn dark and fiery. I could feel my wolf howling in anger and pain. How dare they!

The Butler and every servant within a radius of the palace were groaning in pain and fear. I was shaking in anger and if I don’t control myself soon, I will end up hurting all of them.

“Find her! Get every guard in and out of this pack to search every nook and cranny! I want her here in the palace!”

Releasing my anger, the whole servants in the castle began to whine in pain. I closed my eyes to contain my anger. In frustration I left my chamber, not knowing what to do.

When I got to the palace gate, I brought out my phone and made a call through to Chester.

“I need you, man. I f*****g need you here man!” I said, trying to hold myself from breaking down.

“What happened, Niyole?” Chester asked.

“She is gone! She is f*****g gone! I can’t find my mate! If I don’t find her, I will make them pay! Everyone that made her leave. Every single one would pay!” I said as I removed the phone from my ears.

I didn’t know what to do as I just stood at the front of the gate, staring at nothing in particular. Memories of Erika flooded in and my body shook in fright. I can’t afford to lose her.

She wasn’t supposed to go! She is my second chance mate that was meant to stay! She can’t leave me. She can’t do this to me!

“Koko, you have to come back to me. You promised to wait for me. You promised you would never leave no matter what happened and you will stay no matter what people say about you. Why are you breaking your promise?”

I was so heartbroken that I kept calling out Koko’s name. Even when I saw Erika’s body that morning of her death, I wasn’t this broken. Maybe it was because the pain was twice or maybe it was because she was missing because of the same reason.

Rumors! The same thing that led to Erika’s death. That’s same thing that is happening again. Am I also going to lose my second mate? Am I still going to go through same trauma again?

Why am I so unlucky when it comes mates?

No, I won’t be unlucky this time. She is not dead. Maybe she just left because of the talks. Yes, she may still be out there somewhere. We need to check everywhere, anywhere that she might go to.

“I will turn the pack and it’s surrounding packs just to find you, Koko! You can’t leave me! I forbid it!”

But first, I needed to search around this vicinity and see if I could track her scent. I had to follow her scent, but then I needed to know the direction she might have taken.

She could have gone far, because it was more than five hours that she had left the palace. She left immediately after breakfast.

My mind began to boil again at what the butler told me on what happened between she and my mother this morning. She must have been too hurt by her words.

That must be the reason she suddenly left. A servant even saw her running away after being insulted by my mother.

“Mother! I warned you. I will never forgive for what you have done!” I said, my anger making my body to shake like a volcano.

I need to go and find her.

As I wanted to go back inside to talk to the butler, I saw him coming towards my direction.

“Any news about her?” I asked, anxiously.

“Not yet, your majesty. But the border has been sealed and every secret entries has been blocked by our guards. There was a report that three men were seen carrying an old lady towards Province B axis alongside another young woman. They claimed she was their grandmother and they were going for regular treatment.” The Butler said.

“Anything suspicious?” I asked.

He nodded, “At first, no. They had dropped the name of the hospital and also the patient’s name. But after a little while, they realized that there was something odd.”

“They saw this bracelet on the ground and those people were the only ones that had passed that Guard Post. This is the bracelet, Your majesty.”

I took the bracelet with shaky hands. I had seen this bracelet on Koko’s hands. I had been jealous that Laci bought her a bracelet that she liked. I promised I was going to buy a better one and remove Laci’s own!

This bracelet was very peculiar because it carried the rising sun in it’s design. I told her I was going to get a customized bracelet housing the brightest moon when I got back.

“This belongs to Koko. I need you to dispatch people to the hospital and every other hidden places in Province B. Find her, right now!” I said.

“Your majesty, I am thinking she might not be in the hospital. It was just a ploy to get out of the province,” the butler said.

I nodded, clenching my fist tightly. “It’s indeed a ploy. She didn’t leave. She was forced to leave. She was kidnapped. She never left on her own.”

“And it was meticulously planned. They even have the name of a patient that was due for treatment in a hospital. They have been planning this for a long time.”

I turned to look ahead with my heart feeling heavy. I just prayed it wasn’t who I had in mind. I won’t forgive her this time.

No matter what.

As soon as I got information on the direction she might have taken, I changed to my wolf and started searching everywhere. I searched every shrubs and bushes. Every caves and hides in the forest, yet I didn’t see or perceive her scent.

Feeling dejected, I continued going deeper into the forest. I came to a place where the air was very fresh. It had a calming effect.

Could Koko have come here? Didn’t the servants say she likes going out for air these days? Maybe if I go deeper or search around, I will find a clue.

With that thought in mind, I began searching the forest. I smelled everything around the forest. There was a faint scent of my mate on one of the paths leading deep into the forest.

I began to follow the scent. After a while, just when I wanted to turn around, I saw a house that looked like an old cottage.

A cottage in the forest? Why am I not aware of this place?

I moved closer, pushing the door open. The scent in the house still remained fresh. I looked around and saw some ropes and a chair. It seemed someone was tied here.

When I moved inside, I began to perceive the familiar scent.

That was my mate’s scent!

Was Koko brought here at first before they left? Maybe if I had come a little earlier, I would have been able to see her and those bastards who kidnapped her.

My heart was filled with unbearable pains. Each time I thought about how she had left me, I felt pained. But now that I know she was kidnapped, my pain had turned to an unquenchable anger and a taste for revenge.

I left the cottage and went straight to my office. When I got there, I got dressed before calling a meeting with all the private investigators under me.

We might still be lucky to find her.

After the meeting, I dismissed them. Picking up my phone, I made a call to Province B to know how far their investigation had gone.

After listening to their rubbish, I growled in anger at their incompetence, “You still haven’t tracked her? Is Province B so large that you guys are unable to track those bastards down? What the hell are you people doing over there?”

“I want a lead before the end of today or consider yourselves finished! I don’t give a f**k how you do it! Find a lead!”

I ended the call in anger.

I was getting frustrated by each passing second. It was already getting dark and I hadn’t been able to find a single trace apart from the one in the forest.

Who were those people?

I put down my head as it was throbbing painfully. I didn’t know if it was because of the thought of the pain of not seeing her, but my head was surely splitting in two.

As I was resting my head, I heard Laci’s voice. I looked up to see her teary face. I couldn’t take it anymore as the tears I had been holding, kept trickling down.

“I can’t lose her, Laci!.” Was all I could say.
