Niyole’s Mother POV

As I left the palace, I kept looking back at my son’s furious face. I knew I was in deep trouble, but why was I being blamed when I only threatened her?

I just threatened her because I didn’t want her near my son. Which loving mother would see such a girl by their sons side? I would definitely not allow it!

And I wonder why Laci was getting worked up over nothing. I just did what every loving mother would do.

That cursed girl!

She still had such an influence on Niyol. She was gone, yet he just won’t let her go. What kind of spell did that girl use on them, that he was still vulnerable?

But, I believed she won’t come back again. She had better not come back, or else I was really going to drive her out myself.

But why would Laci accuse me of such a thing? Why would I kidnap her when all I had to do was just to drive her out of the pack?

Surely, that cursed demon must have cast a spell on my two children!

I decided to go and see Maria. Did they do anything behind my back? Why was Laci so sure that I was the one that kidnapped her? My mind was in a mess as I tried to read meaning to all of these!

Without looking ahead, I bumped into someone. ” Ouch!”

“Ouch!” The person also screamed out.

Feeling angry, I looked up to see Scarlett rubbing her forehead. Uh? It was Scarlett.

“Sorry, Scarlett. Did I injure you?” I asked her, looking at her body all over.

“Not at all, Queen mother. I am alright, but why are you hurrying out of the palace? I heard about what happened and I decided to check on Niyol. Is he alright?” Scarlett asked.

What should I say now to that question? Of course he was beyond furious! So furious that he even wanted to disown me!

What kind of a child won’t even listen to his mother? I just didn’t understand that boy at all. But I would surely make him put all those thoughts aside.

“How can he be alright when that cursed girl has her hands wrapped around him? Those devilish hands?” I replied, looking at the girl in front of me.

Isn’t this the perfect opportunity for him to embrace another girl? This girl just needed a little push and she would be perfect.

“Scarlett, didn’t you say you wanted to be with Niyol?” I asked her, watching how she was looking innocent. If only I could set them up at this crucial time.

“Yes, I did have the wish of staying by his side…”

“This is the perfect time for that… and you can tell him I am innocent too. You know, right? You know I will never do that to her. Even if I hated her, you know I won’t do it.” I said to her.

I saw a struggle on her face before she finally said, “Queen mother, I… I don’t think that’s appropriate at this time. Niyol… he is in pain and I will try all I can to cheer him on, but please… don’t mention any other thing.”

“But you love him, right? Now that the cursed girl is finally gone, you can….”

I turned around to see the young man, Henry approaching us. I remembered how he was against me just now. When I remembered what he told Niyole few minutes back, I felt my anger rising.

“Queen mother, I didn’t want to say anything, but you really went too far! How could you kidnap her? Didn’t you say you won’t do anything to her? You only wanted to teach her a lesson, isn’t that what you said? Then why did you kidnap her instead?”

“Scarlett, are you also accusing me?”

“Stop denying it. Everyone heard your words of torment to her every single day. It became worse these few days. You can’t keep denying you know nothing!” Scarlett said, accusingly.

“I didn’t do it! How many times do I have to tell you? I just want you to be beside my son and comfort him in the absence of that cursed girl! I am not saying this because…”

Just as I was trying to convince her, an oppressive aura enveloped us there and Niyol’s angry voice made me almost pass out!

“Mother!” He roared in anger. My body shivered from the roar. Does this child have any respect?

I turned to see him looking like he just came out of hell. Has he been here all along? Did he hear my words just now? Did it mean that Scarlett knew he was behind me, yet she kept quiet?

“How dare you! It seems I let you off too easily. What did you say? She is finally gone? I gave you the benefit of doubt and every time you prove my decision wrong! You did it all along. And now, you want to give someone the chance to take over?” He bellowed.

“Son, I am just being sensitive to your feelings! You need someone to make you forget her!”

“You said you didn’t know about her kidnapping, right?”

“Of course I don’t!”

“Then can you explain why you are so sure that she won’t return? Why are you so adamant that you know nothing, yet you are so sure she won’t come back? You are even telling her to seduce me! Do you even have a conscience?

“Was this how you planned Erika’s death too? Did you also pray that she should die? Did you and those minions of yours plan every single thing in my life?”

“Stop! I didn’t do anything to Erika. She chose to end her life! She left you alone because she was guilty!”

“Guilty of what? Woman! Guilty of not having a child because you guys couldn’t stop pointing it to her? She was feeling guilty because you, my mother, created that guilt for her!”

“Stop putting words in my mouth, Niyol! And I am your mother!”

“Mother? You are my mother? You are not what they should call a mother. You are a woman who would stop at nothing to always make me sad. You are a woman who is selfish and wicked! I wish I never came through you!”

I was shocked by his utterances, but I knew he was just hurting. He would snap out of it very soon!

“What… what do you mean by that?” I stuttered. A bad premonition creeping into my heart.

I looked up to see him staring at the entrance to the palace gate. In less than two minutes, three well known elders in his cabinet came rushing towards us.

“I, Alpha Niyol Heaven banish and strip her off every title! You are not allowed to step into the Palace from this moment!”

I grabbed his clothes as I didn’t believe what he was saying.” Niyol, you can’t do this to me! I am your mother! You can’t treat me like this!”

He removed my hands from his clothes and without taking a glance at me he left without looking back.

I watched as he left me. This can’t be happening.

“I don’t care about the title, Niyole! Just don’t take away the right to be a mother to you! Don’t take it away from me! I am your mother!”

“Niyole! Please, forgive me! I will never speak wrong of her ever again… I will embrace her as my daughter-in-law! Please, just don’t cut me off from your life.”

I didn’t care about the looks I was getting from everyone, I fell on my knees begging my son. “Niyol! I am on my knees! I won’t leave until you answer me!”

I started sobbing uncontrollably. The servants were whispering and cursing. Laci was just staring at me without moving an inch.

“How could a mother be so heartless towards her own child?”

“I have never seen the alpha this happy since Luna Erika died! But he was extremely happy as soon as Koko came into his life.”

“Yet they keep cursing and calling her names!”

“I haven’t seen where the color of a person’s eyes would determine who or what the person is!’

Although I heard their every single conversation, yet I couldn’t say anything, because I was desperate to talk to Niyole.

“Stand up, mother!” A male voice came close to me, holding me up. He was Laci’s husband.

“Please beg him to forgive me. I am really sorry!” I continued sobbing.

“Come, let’s go to the house…”

“Don’t you dare bring that woman to our house!” That was Laci talking.

Are my children disowning me?

“If she steps a foot into our house, I am leaving with our son. I mean it!” Laci said, turning to leave.

I could see my son-in-law stuck between Laci and I. I didn’t want him feeling guilty of losing Laci, so I removed my hands from his and shook my head.

“I will be fine, don’t worry. I believe he would forgive me soon.” I said, balling my hands tightly.

I can’t lose my family, I just can’t.
