Twisting Her Fate
Chapter 159

Gabriel drags Simon along the ground. There is a wave of shock that runs throughout the Stormy pack, Harvey included, no one has seen Gabriel since Maggie was killed, it was like he disappeared from the face of the earth, the last place he was expected to reappear was with the elite group, with Gabriel and Leilani's complicated history it is strange to see, but what is more strange is the fact that he seems to be part of the group now.

"I have invited Ryan here. Will that get awkward?"

Harvey looks at Connor nervously. The half moon pack has become a close ally with the Stormy pack after Gabriel's disappearance. Connor just shakes his head as he watches Gabriel move through the crowd dragging the man. Gabriel holds his back straight and doesn't react to the strange looks he is getting, he isn't affected by the murmurs that surround him.

"It will be fine Harvey"

Connor walks forward toward Gabriel, walking side by side with the man talking casually, showing with his actions that Gabriel is trusted. The whole pack starts to gather around as Connor and Gabriel take off Simon's silver cuffs and force him into position, snapping the top piece into position, locking his neck and wrists into position.

Evie looks at Leilani.

"Is that who I think it is?"

Simon is far from the suave, immaculate, all-powerful man that he was back then. He looks like he has aged thirty years in the last three years. Looking more like her grandfather's age than her father's age.

His once pure black hair is now heavily littered with salt and pepper and is hanging lifeless around his face, his skin is sallow with a greyish tone to it.

Simon has only just recovered from the beating that Connor gave him and the pain has taken a toll. He hasn't slept properly for a week. Simon has never had a good day since being captured, but at this moment he is at his worst, now getting fixed in place in front of so many eyes, so many people to judge him, so many people to witness his downfall.

"It is, are you going to be okay?"

Evie picks up Elena, placing her on a hip as she nods. She is a different person now than she was then. Back then she had no strength and no hope and she was all alone in the world. Now she is surrounded with people, friends, family, supporters. Evie won't shy away from this opportunity to give something back to the man that very nearly ruined her completely.

"I will be"

Damon places a hand on the small of Evie's back, looking at Simon with so much hatred, to think that this is the man that caused all of Evie's issues. He feels like he's reacting worse than Evie is, but it is hard not to just want to run up and rip the man's throat out. A single thought of what Evie went through, knowing that this man laid his hands on her is enough to inspire Damon's murderous rage.

Connor stands in front of Simon in silence in Simon's most degrading position yet. The elite pack have had him in a lot worse situations, but with so many people viewing him, embarrassment and complete lack of control over his situation is what makes it so hard on him.

"This is Simon Grayson, some of you may have heard of him, some of you may not. For those who have not and for those who need a refresher, I want to list his crimes today. He will be standing in this position for the next two months. He will be heavily guarded but feel free to do as you will to him, anything you want as long as it doesn't cause his death. He does not deserve such freedom"

Leilani watches from behind as Connor addresses his pack. He has a completely different temperament when in front of them as in front of her. He has a deep, authoritative voice. His playful nature is gone. His back is straight and his words are steady and concise. He is every bit the leader you would expect from a pack that has progressed so much.

Connor waves his large hand back to the man behind him, Simon just looks at him with scathing hatred, not a single scrap of remorse in his vile heart.

"This one man is responsible for so much, this man here. Simon Grayson is the ex-alpha of the amber pack. These are his crimes and this is not only limited to them, as I'm sure that a person like this has done a lot more bad things, but what we do know and what has been proven is enough for him to be tortured every minute of every day for the next fifty years at least. This man is the man that is responsible for the kidnap, incarceration and torture of many women, including alpha Evie. This man is responsible for the death of the ex-alpha and Luna of the stormy pack and their two children. This man killed his own cousin due to jealousy, then fed his cousin's mate a serum which made her believe that she was his mate. He then proceeded to try and have his own fated mate, who never even knew of the bond, kill Leilani the luna of stormy pack. He then sent away the fake mate's only son and made her raise his own child while he killed his own real fated mate"

A hushed whisper echoes around the pack. They may have known one or more of the things, but the crimes listed are just too much. How can one single person be so evil and hurt so many lives?

Astrid stands to the side holding Elena, who she has already gathered off Evie. Knowing that Evie needs her time with Simon just as much as the rest of them want to punish him. So, as soon as that is about to happen, she wants to be able to get Elena and Ace out of the way. They live in a dangerous world, but it is unnecessary for the two young sweet children to be exposed to such things at such a young age. She let her own children experience things that they never should have had to deal with at such a young age. She isn't about to let that happen again. She listens to the spiel about Simon with a cold heart. No matter how much pain and torture Simon gets, it doesn't cover over the regret in her heart that she never saw through him and put a stop to him.

For now, all of them just want the two to live like children, like they should. Leadership and training can come later. The violence and learning the true extent of evil is something that they can learn later. For now, everything in life is only beautiful in the children lives.

Evie looks at Astrid, who gathers up Ace and Bonnie leads them inside with her own child. Evie looks at Leilani, who holds her hand, giving it a large squeeze.

"It is up to you. You can do whatever you want, you can do it now or wait until no one is around"

Finally, Evie looks at Damon, his heart thumps in his chest as the beautiful honey-colored eyes rest on him. He sees the briefest hint of the old Evie. It is so quick that he is not sure if he is mistaken, but he sees a glimpse of dependence. He grips her hand.

"I am with you, whatever you want to do"

Simon can only just see Astrid disappear from his peripheral vision. She hardly even looked at him, only having eyes for the two children. She walks away without turning back. Terrance isn't looking at him and as he watches Evie walk up hand in hand with a man, she is even more beautiful than before he destroyed her.

Simon hangs his head, his shaggy hair obscuring his eyes, hatred burning in his eyes, why has everyone moved on?

How is everyone that was under his control fit and healthy and he is the one that is suffering so much?

Evie surveys Simon from her high position, looking down at the man who always made her feel so small.

Simon looks up suddenly, but instead of looking at Evie, he looks at Damon.

"How is it now? Is it destroyed?"

Damon lifts his leg and kicks Simon in the stomach, causing Simon's legs to give out and he hangs awkwardly from the restraints until he is able to scramble to his feet once again to stop himself from choking. Connor stands the other side of Damon. "Speak like that once more and I will rip out your tongue"

Evie isn't phased by the whole episode, it is not like Simon was a gentleman when he did what he did, she heard so many derogatory things in those four years. With Leilani standing right there, she feels confident, her voice starts off small but increases quickly. "You know it is funny, you speak to me like you still have some sort of power over me, but you know what? I am an alpha, you are a disgraced ex-alpha, I have friends and family, even a boyfriend, and do you know what you have? Through everything, all you have is a bunch of hate-filled eyes trained on you, you have nothing but pain to look forward to and you know what? I am not even going add to it, I think others will do it for me, because you are so little in my eyes that it isn't even worth dirtying my shoes in order to stomp you into the ground"

Evie smiles slightly as she holds Damon's hand tightly.

"It is enough for me to know that you are in misery and I am happy, so all I have to say is f*ck you"

Evie smiles a bright smile as she sticks her middle finger up at him. Damon looks at Evie in awe, she stands tall, she has a true smile on her face, her hair glitters in the sunlight, she is nothing short of amazing.
