Adrian bit his lower lip and said honestly, “I suspect them both.

“I think it might be Moss.

”

“Moss?” Adrian looked shocked.

“But isn’t he dead?”

“I think Moss might still be around because he is the only one who knows exactly what Ariana was injected with,” Holden said.

“If Moss is still out there, we need additional security to keep Ariana safe,” Adrian said, regaining his composure.

“But why would Moss save Ariana? Could it be that Emilia is still alive?”

Holden shook his head, admitting he wasn’t sure.

After all, their enemies hid in the dark while they were out in the open.

“I’m not used to you being like this.

It’s my job to save and heal people, and Ariana means a lot to me.
