Unconscious Husband: Meet Her Love In Silence -
Chapter 1729
Alright, I’ll head off now,” Mitchel said.
“My assistant will stay to help keep an eye on Ariana.
”
With that, Mitchel left.
Seizing the right moment, Sonia took the two children outside, comforting them and softly explaining what was happening.
The ward, once lively, now held just two people-Holden and Ariana.
Holden looked exhausted as he sank into a chair beside Ariana’s bed.
He gripped her hand tightly, feeling a storm of emotions inside him.
Throughout the days Ariana lay in the hospital, suffering in pain, he had endured her agony with her.
The frequency of her illnesses had become a blurred memory, but luckily, that was all over.
Holden gently stroked her cheek with his trembling fingers.
Tears soon filled his eyes.
If she woke up, they would stay together as a happy family; they would never be torn apart again.
After enduring intense pain and slipping into unconsciousness, Ariana felt surprisingly light when she opened her eyes again.
How was this possible?
Was she in heaven after passing away?
‘s
How else could her body radiate such a deep sense of relaxation and comfort, with her breathing so smooth and untroubled?
Looking at the clean and white ceiling, Ariana blinked, her mind swirling with thoughts.
Then, Holden came to mind.
She imagined the sadness Holden must have felt knowing she had died.
The more she thought about it, the sadder she became.
She reached to touch her chest.
To her surprise, her fingers brushed against something strange.
What on earth was this?
Confusion crossed Ariana’s face as she turned her head and saw Holden resting beside her hand.
Fear gripped her, and she stopped breathing for a second.
Had Holden taken his own life because of her death?
It seemed the only explanation for his presence here with her.
