The nurse showed no sign of noticing Sadie’s tension.

She went about her task silently.

As the nurse began to inject the clear liquid into Sadie’s vein, Sadie’s eyes flew open, wide with sudden clarity.

In an instant, she shot up from the bed and grabbed the nurse’s hand with all her strength.

The nurse recoiled from Sadie’s antics, thinking her mad once more.

Spinning around to summon the security guards, she aimed to restrain Sadie.

Unexpectedly, Sadie surged with newfound strength, clasping her hand over the nurse’s mouth firmly.

The nurse’s face reddened as Sadie blocked her airways.

At that moment, Sadie’s fingers found a pair of cold tweezers on the medical cart, still reeking of disinfectant.

With no hesitation, she drove the tweezers deep into the nurse’s neck artery.

“Go to hell!” Sadie hissed furiously.

“You’re the reason I’m like this.

I’ll kill you all!”

In just three seconds, blood, warm and copious, spurted from the nurse’s neck, splattering across Sadie’s pale face.

The nurse, unable to scream with her mouth covered, could only widen her eyes in agony as her body began to stiffen.

Struggling for clarity, she tried to focus on Sadie, but her vision blurred, reducing Sadie to a mere shadow.

The urge to cry for help was stifled as the tweezers lodged in her neck made it increasingly difficult for her to breathe.

Blood splashed into Sadie’s eyes, staining them, yet Sadie kept her gaze fixed on the nurse, unblinking.

She seemed like a demon exacting vengeance from the depths of hell.

After a while, the nurse collapsed.

Her head struck the floor with a thud, and her eyes dimmed.

Sadie, however, showed no fear.

Her calm was eerie.

Gazing down at the nurse’s lifeless form, Sadie slowly wiped the blood from her face with the back of her hand, which was riddled with needle marks.

At that moment, Sadie felt victorious, as if she had conquered a formidable enemy.

She hurriedly removed the IV drip and rummaged through the medicine cart, finding a pair of scissors.

They were very sharp.

Pleased with this deadly tool, Sadie decisively opened the door with the scissors in hand and stepped out.

This time, she was unencumbered by worries or fears of capture.

With that thought, Sadie inhaled deeply and gripped the scissors tightly.

Sadie had expected to encounter bodyguards when she ventured outside, but to her surprise, there were none in sight.

She recalled the moment earlier when the bodyguards in black had been conducting a search.

She had faintly heard someone muttering something about finding a person, though she couldn’t make out the words clearly.

It appeared they were on the hunt for someone very important, given they had even reassigned guards to other areas.

This meant no one would return anytime soon.

With that in mind, Sadie couldn’t help but smile.

Whoever they were searching for didn’t concern her.

Her primary goal was to escape this wretched place as quickly as possible.

Once free, she planned to seek vengeance against those who had tormented her.

Turning back, Sadie quietly shut the door of her ward.

She pulled the collar of her sweater up to cover her face and stepped into the elevator.

On the first floor.

The ordinary hustle of doctors and nurses consumed with their tasks provided the perfect cover.

Taking advantage of their distraction, Sadie slipped into the crowd, blending in seamlessly.
