Moss let out a snort.

He didn’t interfere with Melon’s fruit feast, instead setting about preparing medicine on his own.

After a while, Melon, still munching on strawberries, approached Moss.

“What do you want, kid?” Moss’ tone was indifferent.

Melon held up a large strawberry in one hand and blinked at Moss.

“Can you change my voice back? I don’t want to sound like an adult.

I’m still just a child.”

Moss, flask in hand, didn’t respond to Melon’s voice.

He simply kept adding the materials and liquid into the flask.

“You are the best grandpa in the world!” Melon, his voice sprightly, burst into a spontaneous song.

“You are perfect and treat me well.

Without you, I am left with trials…”

Despite his childish appearance, Melon’s voice resembled that of a young man, his earnest gestures seeming almost heartfelt.

Yet, Moss remained unmoved, ignoring Melon.

Undeterred, Melon kept singing, filling the room with his melody.

He didn’t believe Moss would be so indifferent, especially after he had brought him strawberries as a treat.

Time wore on.

Eventually, weariness overcame Melon.

His throat parched from singing, and he fell silent, while Moss continued with his experiment, immersed and undisturbed.

Seeing this, Melon felt his confidence falter, and he hung his head in frustration.

Why had Melon stopped?

As Moss shook the medicine, he stole a glance at the young boy.

Just a moment ago, hadn’t he been singing joyfully? Turning around, Moss noticed the boy’s gloomy expression.

He paused for a brief moment before he began reciting a series of potion codes to Melon.

Melon looked up, puzzled.

“What are you saying?”

“I’m swamped,” Moss replied, focusing back on his flask.

“You should make the antidote to change your voice back using the potion codes I just gave you.

You need to do it yourself.

If you get it right, you’ll be able to change your voice successfully.

If not, well, that’s on you.”

At that, Melon understood Moss.

He scowled and muttered, “You’re really heartless.”

Moss didn’t even bother to respond, implicitly agreeing with Melon’s accusation.

Seconds later, Melon dashed off.

Moss assumed the young boy was upset and turned to look for him.

To his surprise, he found Melon dragging a table across the room.

Climbed onto it, the boy intently studied the potions, mimicking Moss‘ earlier actions with a grave expression on his youthful face.
