The next morning was full of madness. Stella, Rose, Odette, Wilson, and Maria helped me pack up my room while the guys got an enclosed trailer to load my boxes in. “Why are you leaving Aunty Jess?” Maria whined as we packed. The twins were the most upset about me leaving the pack. “Remember when mommy and daddy told you about how mates are your other halves and that they make you complete and happy?” Rose said. Wilson and Maria nodded. Rose was so sweet and understanding.

She could explain the most complicated thing to someone and make them completely understand it. Most pups don’t understand how important or what mates are until they get to the age of 10 and Rose got them to understand when they are turning 6 this year. “Well those three men out there are Aunt Jess’s mates. She needs to live with them so he can be happy and complete.” She continued. Wilson was not happy hearing that I had mates. So much like his daddy and his uncles, he didn’t like men near me. “Don’t worry little ones. I will still be your aunt even if I am in a different pack and we can still visit from time to time. I promise we’ll be together every holiday and birthday the family gets together.” Maria seems to perk up at that. Wilson still needed to be convinced.

Then Odette got an idea. “Wilson, how about we all get pictures taken with Jess today? That way you still have a piece of her with you even when she is in Raven Moon.” Wilson looked up and then looked at me. “Yes please.” Hmmm having a piece of me huh? “Hey Odette you guys can take a break I got to run into town about something I almost forgot.” I shot her a glance at the twins and then winked so she would catch on. Thankful she did. “Oh ok. Sure. We can just start taking the finished boxes out front.” Rose and Stella nod. I smiled and waved while heading to my truck.

“Where do you think you’re going?” I look over and see Zero and the guys all in the front loading all the big heavy stuff that Odette asked them to grab. “I am just running to town for a quick bit. I need to pick something up before I leave.” I answered “Not alone, you’re not honey.” Hero said as he placed down a big box filled with my books. I rolled my eyes and smirked at them. “I am still a warrior and soon to be your badass luna. I think I can handle a trip to town ok.” I know they are worried since they witnessed my panic attack yesterday, but I didn’t want them to think that they had to treat me like I was made out of glass forever.

From the look on their faces I don’t think I was going to win though. I saw Sophie coming out of the house just then and said “Fine I won’t go alone. Sophie will come with me. A little girl time.” I sent her a look asking for her to agree and I am so glad to be around women that can almost read my mind. “Sure. I just finished what I was doing.” That seemed to please my alphas so they went back to work packing. “I’ll be right back Sophie. I am gonna grab my truck and come back and pick you up.” She nodded and I dashed off to the garage. I love taking my truck for a spin. Ryan just finished giving her a tune up. I hopped in and grabbed my shades. I smiled as I turned the key and my baby roared to life.
