I woke up early the next morning, still entangled in the triplets arms. I felt a bit sore, but it was worth it and even though they were a bit rough for my first time my body loved it. I smiled as I tried to get up, but Leo pulled me back into bed. I squealed as he grabbed my sides to pull me closer to him. He chuckled as my squeal woke his brothers up. “Where do you think you are going princess?” he asked, nuzzling my neck where his mark was. Midnight was purring at the attention. “I was just going to go get a shower then get to work. I only have 3 months to master this power of mine before that monster comes for me.” I said while I looked up to him. I heard a low growl erupt from the three of them.

“He will never have you, not while we breathe.” Hero growled, laying his head on my stomach. I stroked his hair and craned my neck to look at Leo. “I know, but it is better to be prepared is it not?” I said while I nuzzled Leo. I got up and headed for the shower, with my triplets all following me. We showered together. Zero washed my hair, while Leo and Hero washed my body for me. Midnight was dying for me to mark them too, but I knew if I did that now, we would never make it out of the bedroom. Besides I wanted to make their marks as special as they made mine. I was going to mark each of them when I got one alone.

They got dressed, and Leo zoomed to Sasha’s room for some clothes for me to wear. Since mine were still packed up. We made our way down to the dining room table and saw that someone had already made breakfast. Leo sniffed the air. “Smells good Rico.” He yelled out towards the kitchen. “Rico?” I asked slightly confused, then Rico came in with a plate full of waffles and bacon. He was wearing a black apron over his gray t-shirt and tan shorts. “Good morning Luna, Alphas.” he said with a smile. I was still confused. Rico was the beta. Why was he cooking? As if he read my mind already Rico said “I am the main one that cooks breakfast for those who live in the pack house. Mostly because I get up earlier than everyone and I find it to be calming before a long work day.”

I nod my head slightly while my mouth shaped into an ‘O’ the triplets sat down and Hero pulled me into his lap. He purred in content with having me close. I nuzzled his neck and he growled lightly. I felt him harden under me. I smirked at him. ‘Don’t think that your teasing will go unpunished tonight Honey.’ Hero said through mind link. I was almost startled at first but I remember that now they marked me and that bound the four of us together. I could mind link any of my triplets, but I wouldn’t be able to mink link anyone else until I had a luna ceremony that inducted me into the Raven Moon pack fully.

Rico cleared his throat to grab my attention from Hero. “So for your training Luna, Sasha and I will be working with you on your new gifts. Your physical training you can do with Nathan and Brandon.” I nod my head as he explains. Then he turned to the triplets. “It would be best to have her luna ceremony as soon as we can. She should be able to mind link with others in case William decides to strike before her birthday.” Leo answered him. “I agree, but she is already going to be having a lot to deal with. Planning a luna ceremony would stress her out too much.” Before anyone could say anything else The doors opened and Layla and Felix walked in. When Layla saw her son’s marks on my neck she jumped and snatched me away from Hero.

“Oh how wonderful, I finally have a daughter. Oh Deary you can’t imagine how happy I am to see you marked. Now I just need some grandbabies to spoil.” She said with my still crushed in her embrace. “Love if you want grandchildren, then you need to let Jess go so she can breathe.” Felix said to his wife. “Oh right sorry dear. I was too excited.” I giggled and stretched after she finally let me go. “How are you so strong? Even I work out a lot to get my strength, but you look like you do more paperwork than fighting Layla.” Layla smiled at me and said. “It was because of Sabrina.” My eyes widen. “What did Angel do?” I asked her, sitting back down on Hero’s lap. Her and Felix sat next to us and she started to tell me how Sabrina saved her life when she was just a pup.

(Note: What you read in this flashback in Layla’s POV is what she is telling to Jessabella and the triplets.)

~Flashback~

Layla’s POV

I was born with a very frail body as a pup. I could hardly walk around for too long on my own. I mostly sat in bed looking out of the hospital window of the Nightmare pack hospital. My long dark brown hair blowing in the wind from the open window. When I turned 13, things only got worse. I was no longer able to even stand on my own. The doctors told me and my parents that my bones were too weak to withstand my body, and that if something was not done before I turned 18, my first shift would kill me.

No one in the hospital could find any reason why my bones were so weak. Both my mother and father were strong warriors. Then one day I caught a lemon scent in the hospital and a light knock on my door. “Come in.” I said still looking out the window. I heard the door open and close but didn’t turn to see who it was. “Hello Layla. My name is Sabrina. Your parents asked me to take a look at you to see if I can help.” I heard a soft gentle voice say. I turned my head and was met with a woman with bright yellow eyes and sea blue hair. I sniffed the air again.

“You’re not a wolf, you’re a witch.” I stated. She nodded and smiled. “What the hell is a witch doing here. There is no way my parents would trust your kind. Your kind are filthy, only doing magic for those who pay you the most no matter the outcome.” I growled. My grandparents on my father’s side were killed by a witch that was paid to clear a patch of forest. She did nothing but smile at me. I growled again “Get the hell out of here and stay away from me.” She still said nothing, just smiled. Then she walked over to me slowly and her hand reached for my face. Witches were no good, I didn’t want her touching me. I thought to myself and then as soon as her hand reached my cheek. I bit her hard and drew b***d.

I heard the door open and my parents gasped. “Layla what on earth are you doing?! She is here to help you.” My mother cried out. My father growled at me. “Layla Hawkins you release her right this minute!!” Normally I did what my parents say, but they were defending a witch! My fangs still latched into her hand. I looked up at her face with my eyes. I was shocked as all hell. She was looking back at me. Her eyes remained gentle, no anger in them, and she still had a smile on her face. “There, there little one. I’m not going to harm you or anyone in this pack.” I saw her eyes glaze over. Was she mind linking someone? Did she have a mate in the pack? Then the door opened again and it was one of my father’s best friends, William Darkwood.

I was so shocked that I released her hand. She slowly took it away. Still bleeding badly, she turned and said “This is William. He is my little sister’s mate. He brought my sister and I here from the mountains. The alpha has accepted us into the pack.” she was calm and her heart rate stayed the same. I could feel she wasn’t lying, but how could she be trusted. She was a witch. I looked at William and he smiled at me and said “I know a lot of pack members are going to take time to adjust to there being two witches in the pack, but they mean you know harm. They are good people. Sabrina here is good with medical herbs and remedies.” he said patting her on the head like she was a small child.

She glared at him and gently swatted his hand away from her head. “I am older than you mister, not a child.” she said. William chuckled and started patting her head again, “Oh yea? Then why are you so short there grandma?” His laughter boomed throughout the room with his joke, next thing I know she snapped her fingers and a small wash bin landed right on William’s head. “Son of a b***h!! Sabrina!?” he roared.

Father and mother started laughing after he got hit, even I giggled at it. “That should teach you some respect.” she snapped at William. Then it hit me. Why didn’t she do that to me? I bit her and was rude to her, yet she only smiled at me. William teased her and she used her magic to hit him. She turned back to me and she still had that same gentle smile as before. “Why?” I whispered. She tilted her head in confusion. “Why what dear?” she asked me. I looked at her and asked her “Why didn’t you hit me like you did him? I bit you. I was rude to you.” I could feel the tears forming in my eyes.

She came to me again and with her non-bloody hand she stroked my hair. “One: you are only a child, compared to that doofus of a man. Two: you were also told that if something isn’t done by your 18th birthday, your first shift would kill you. It is normal to be mad at not only the world, but creatures or people that you don’t trust.” I felt ashamed of how I treated her. “I’m sorry. I’m so so sorry.” I whimpered

From then on Sabrina would visit me everyday. She would take b***d samples to test with different treatments that she was working on. After a month she introduced me to her younger sister, Tasha. They almost looked alike except Tasha had red hair and Sabrina had blue. After a year of Sabrina trying different herbal treatments to heal my bones I was starting to lose hope. One day while my mom and dad were visiting me in my hospital room, Sabrina burst through the door. “Sabrina?! What’s wrong?” my mom asked as Sabrina was trying to catch her breath.

After a minute to catch her breath, she turned to us and smiled wide. “I found a way!!” She said excitedly. My parents rose to their feet. “Did my research and based on the family tree info you gave me, Layla’s bones are only weak because she was born with human bones. Her wolf b***d and body is too much for the human bones to support.” Sabrina said. How could I have been born with human bones? My parents were both wolves. “How can that be true? Both of my parents are wolves.” I said out loud.

Mom shook her head. “No sweetie I was human. Your father changed me after we got married.” I was shocked. I knew some wolves had human mates. “I didn’t know humans could become wolves.” I said. “Only the wolf paired with the human has a chance to turn their human mate into a wolf, but it can be pretty risky. If their mate doesn’t fully trust in their bond, then the wolf DNA won’t accept the change and it will tear their mate apart from the inside.” dad explained. Sabrina nodded. “You must have been pregnant before the change happened, so when Layla was developing she had both human and wolf DNA that split.” Sabrina said. “How can we fix that?” mom asked.

Sabrina looked at me straight in the eye. “There are two ways, The first one would be the most painful and that would be to take your father’s wolf DNA and inject it right into all of your bones at once, but you would have the same chance of survival as your mother did when she was turned.” She paused so I could absorb the information of the first option. “Ok, and the other choice?” I asked her. She brought out a small beaker with a lavender colored liquid from her satchel she always carried. “This is an elixir I made using herbs from the forest. We would mix your fathers wolf DNA in this and I would infuse it with my witch’s essence. Then you would drink it. It would give you a better chance of survival, but there may be some side effects to it. it will coat your bones from the inside, making them just as strong as they need to be.” Sabrina said.

My parents looked at me. It was my choice. “I trust you Sabrina. I will take the potion.” I said. Sabrina nodded and with a special tool she extracted my dad’s wolf DNA and mixed it in with the potion. The mixture changes color. It went from a lavender purple to a lite green. Sabrina then pulled a small vial out of her satchel and added it to the potion. It changed colors again. It went from the lite green to pure white. “Now once you drink this you may be asleep for a while. Your body will be resting while the potion does its job on your bones.” Sabrina said, I nodded and took the beaker from her. I looked around the room. “Sabrina, thank you for doing this for me.” I said with a smile then I threw my head back and drank the potion in one go.

~End of Flashback~

Jess’s Pov

“Everything went black after I drunk the potion, the next time I woke up. My parents told me that 2 months had gone by.” Layla said. I could feel my eyes widen with surprise. “The potion put you in a 2 month coma?” I asked. She smiled and nodded. “But during the 2 months I was asleep, the potion did what it needed to do. By the time I woke up I could already stand on my own.” she beamed at the memory. “Though the first thing she did was try to walk and she fell flat on her face.” I heard a voice come from behind us. Sabrina had walked in.

“Good morning Angel.” I smiled at her. She gave me a groggy smile then waved to me as she yawned. Layla laughed and continued. “Yeah, I fell a few times, it had been so long since I could walk I was too excited.” she said. I nodded then I realized something. “Layla you said you had dark brown hair before, your hair is snow white now. How?” I asked.

“Sabrina did say there would be side effects. The potion had brought out my wolf soul a lot sooner. I still couldn’t shift until I was of age, but it changed my hair from brown to white and my eyes from brown to blue, just like my wolf’s fur and eyes.” She said. I nod “So what is it that makes you so strong?” I asked next. “The potion coated her bones and they became really strong that the extra coating soaked into her muscles. Give her incredible strength even for a wolf.” Sabrina answered “Cool.” I said.

Layla changed the subject back to us giving her grandkids and Hero looked at his parents and changed the subject again. “Dud you know that Nathan and Brandon found their mates while we were there?”
