Wild Love With My Triplet Mates -
Chapter 43
Layla jumped in her seat excited. “Oh who are they?” Rico chimed in again trying to get back to our original topic. “My lady, I will tell you if you could help us with some duties that need to be taken care of first.” Suddenly it was like Layla had switch mode in the middle of the conversation. “Oh I’m sorry, of course. What were you guys talking about before I entered the dining room and got a bit too excited?” Rico smiled. “I was just telling our alphas and our luna that we should hold her Luna Ceremony as soon as we can. That way she will be inducted into the pack and can mind link other pack members. With William in the wind she will need a way to call for help when she is alone. We don’t want to crowd our luna with bodyguards all the time because that could stunt her training with her powers.”
I tilted my head in confusion. “How would it affect my powers Rico?” I asked. “If you are under constant watch, even if you agree it is for your safety, the pressure will get to you sooner or later, and start causing strain of your gifts. Gifts like yours, Sasha’s, and mine are driven by our emotions. Even if you could lie about how you’re feeling, your powers will respond to what is truly inside.” I nod my head, then Felix and Layla jump in. “We will handle all the preparations for the Luna Ceremony for Jessabelle. That way she can concentrate on her training and settling in her new home.” Felix said. Layla nodded. They both smiled kindly at me. I smiled brightly and then I heard Rico laughing. I looked over to him and I realized that the fruit in the bowl down the table was floating and spinning around.
I started to laugh myself. “Let’s try something. Lady Jessablle, try making the fruit make a shape in the air.” Rico said. I was happy to try, but a bit nervous to have an addutance. ‘Midnight how would I get the fruit to go where I want it to?’ ‘Try thinking about the shape first and where each piece of fruit would go.’ she said. Alright. I thought of a simple circle, and the fruit did what I wanted. It floated and made a circle. “Great job for a first go. Your gifts must be really strong if they are not even fully awake yet.” Rico said.
“They are quite strong indeed.” I hear a voice from behind. I jumped a bit and lost my concentration on the fruit. It all tumbled and fell on the table. I turned my head and saw Angel and Sasha come into the dining room with Nathan and Brandon in tow. “You did that on purpose Angel. I was getting good.” I faked anger at her and she smirked in return. “Can’t have you getting all too cocky now can we. I think your head is big enough.” she countered. Then we both burst out laughing. Sasha stood at the end of the table far away from us. “Now Jess, try using your powers to throw an apple at me.” She said with her arms crossed in front of her.
I focused on a red apple right in front of me. I pictured it lifting up and I snapped my head in Sasha’s direction. I guess I should have just lightly tossed my head towards Sasha, because when I snapped my head the apple zoomed across the room and almost nailed her in the face. Thankfully Sasha dogged it by leaning to the side and the apple became applesauce on the wall. Everyone in the room started laughing their asses off, even Sasha. “Oops. Sorry Sasha.” I said between giggles.
“Hahaha, All good girl. At least we know you got some power in it. Now we know you need control.” She said with a smile. “If she already has enough power to throw an apple like that, we need to see what is the heaviest thing she can lift with her powers.” Rico said. I nodded and looked at Nathan and Brandon sitting in their seats. I close my eyes and picture the two of them lifting up like I did with the fruit. “Whoa!” “Hey!” I heard them shout. I opened my eyes to look at them and I got them high above the table.
Everyone was trying not to laugh, so I didn’t accidentally drop them. “Luna, I understand you need practice, but could you please not use us as guinea pigs. I don’t like the whole ‘hocus pocus’ thing.” Nathan said. I nodded and slowly lowered just my eyes. Then Nathan and Brandon were back on the ground. Sasha couldn’t help by busting out with a loud laugh as they got their bearings again. “Not funny Sasha. That s**t felt weird as all hell.” Brandon glared at her. Angel then snapped her fingers and cleaned up the room.
“Neat trick Angel.” She smiled and sat down next to Brandon. Sasha then came over and sat down next to Nathan. Layla raised her eyebrows and looked between the four of them. “OH MY GODDESS!! Nathan and Sasha are matched as well as Brandon and Sabrina!?!?!” Rico and I grinned at each other and nodded towards Layla. She went on, another girly rampaged about the other newly mated pairs while I finished my breakfast with my alphas.
After breakfast and we finally got away from Layla wanting all the dirty details about our night. Sasha and Rico lead me to the pack house training grounds out back. “These are the training grounds the triplets made for themselves. They were not willing to have pack members see their defects as warriors or as alphas.” Sasha said, as she walked over to a cage and grabbed a wooden sword. Rico pulled out a big tote of tennis balls.
“So for control, we are going to have you use your powers to throw these tennis balls at Sasha, she in turn will use her wooden sword to hit them back towards your side.” Sasha nodded and started twirling the sword in her hand. Rico continued his explanation of the training drill. “The goal is for you to aim at her. She is strong and can take it. If the balls fly past her then you are putting too much power into it. If they don’t make it across the net towards her you are not putting enough power into it.”
Ah I see now. I needed to control and get the balls to go where I wanted them in one motion, and without snapping my body like I did in the dining room. I need to see Sasha as an enemy for now and aim right at her. I nod towards them and Rico steps back. ‘Ready Midnight?’ I felt her presence increase. It felt like we were standing side by side like in that dream world. ‘I am ready, little one. Let us see how fast we can control these gifts mother has given us.’ she purred with excitement. Midnight was one to always like a challenge, and I was no different. We truly were a perfect pair.
Sasha smirked at me. “I see already I shouldn’t hold back.” Rico nodded. “What do you mean?” I asked looking between them. “Midnight has made her presence known. We can feel her aura around you as if you shifted. Plus your mark around your eye is glowing. I see that the connection between you two.” Sasha said, “That is why your powers are already so strong, even though they had just been awakened. As your birthday closes in, the stronger they will be. Both you and Midnight must keep this kind of bond to keep your powers from losing control.” Rico added.
I nodded then returned my attention back to my task. I felt the balls float around me like the fruit did this morning. ‘Let’s start off easy, little one. One ball at a time. We need to control the speed and power behind one before we divide it up between multiples.’ Midnight said through our link. Alright, since it is the first time doing this. I used my hand and gently waved it towards Sasha. A ball went, but it hit the net. I eyed the next ball and flicked my hand in Sasha’s direction. It zoomed towards her and she used the sword to deflect it, but it remained on her side of the court. “Close, but that one had a bit too much power. Going against an enemy would be ok with that, but if you were to send something to a friend it could make things worse. Keep trying Jess, Midnight.” Sasha said.
It was like that for a good two hours, by lunch time I was too exhausted to move, but really hungry at the same time. Sasha was giving me a piggyback ride to the dining room to refuel. “Is it normal for me to be this hungry? I feel like I haven’t eaten in days.” Rico chuckled before he answered me, “Yes. It is very common for special wolves to have enormous appetites because of all the energy they use up when using their gifts. The more you use your gifts, the more energy you use. So the hungrier you get when you have a break.”
“Have you ever had to use your gift of honesty on someone and then felt the munchies afterward?” Sasha asked. “Now that I think of it. I did, but it was always so light I never thought of it.” “Right, but now you are using the aura and energy around you to lift and move things in the air, that can take a lot for now. Once you learn control it will become a bit easier.” she said. Rico opened the dining room doors and once my alphas saw me on Sasha’s back they rushed over with werewolf speed and bombarded us with questions.
Too many questions that Sasha and I couldn’t even speak. It was starting to make my head spin more. Even Midnight was whimpering at how much our head was hurting. I growled loudly at them. They immediately shut their mouths. I give them all a deadpan glare and start talking. “Now that I can actually get a word in. 1) I am fine, just a bit tired from training with new powers. Something that is normal for those with common sense. 2) I have a headache and your loud mouths are not helping what so ever. 3) I am starving so if you don’t shut your mouths and go back to the table and let me eat and nurse my headache before I go back to my afternoon training. You three will be sleeping in your own rooms by yourselves.”
They looked stund, then Sasha and Layla started laughing like there was no tomorrow. Soon everyone joined in laughing at the triplet’s expressions. Sasha walked past them and helped me into an empty chair. Rico had already piled a plate high with food for me and placed it in front of me. The triplet’s went back to their chairs a bit embarrassed to be chewed out like pups. Layla brought a glass of fizzling liquid. “Here sweetie. This will help with the headache. It worked for me when I had three crying boys at night.” She smiled. I took the glass and downed the whole thing.
“Blegh!” It was bitter. She giggled as I looked at the glass and stuck out my tongue. “Sorry I should have warned you it was bitter, but I wanted you to drink it and feel better.” She was right. Even though it was bitter as hell, it did get rid of my headache like it was never there. “What was that stuff?” Layla smiled. “It is an old medical remedy that Sabrina wrote down for my parents. Since the other potion gave me my wolf early, I had headaches of my own.”
“Ah no wonder the pain went away quickly. Nice one Angel, but next time make some medicine that doesn’t taste like a*s.” Sabrina lowered her cup and smirked at me “Well I for one don’t even want to know what kind of a*s you’ve been eating that would taste as bitter as that medicine.” She countered. Boy the redness on the triplets and me could stop traffic in its tracks.
After lunch and teasing each other left and right. I got up and stretched for more control training. The triplets came up to me. “You really aren’t going to make us sleep in a room without you right?” Zero said with a bit of a pout. I smiled “No it was mostly so I could get by and eat. Plus my head was pounding. I love you all, but I got to go back to training and you have your own work to do.” I said, then I gave each one a k**s. “I will see you after my training”.
