Tang Yun had never wanted an exciting life filled with battlesand bloodshed.

She didn't choose to be the leader of the Chu Sect because she wanted the power. It was simply her responsibility to do so because that was what her family and her mentor expected. Back then, Tang Yun had no desires.

All she wanted was to be the best martial artist there was and to fulfill her destiny and duty.

Things had since changed. Ye Fan had crashed into her life and melted away the icy walls around her heart. He showed her that there was more to life.

"My child, things are actually simpler than you think.

"Life lasts but a moment.

"The best way to live is to do so for your own sake.

"In short, you should live the life you want.

"Your life is your own to live, so don't betray yourself for the so-called destiny and responsibility that

others forced on you."

The elder of the Chu family spoke with the heaviest of hearts.

"I was faced with the same dilemma when I was your age.

"In the end, I chose to be with the one I love.

"My mentor was so angry that he chased me out in a fit of anger.

"I never regretted my decision, though.

"I loved him, and that was why I was willing to be his woman. We even had children together."

At that point in the story, a warm smile bubbled up on her aging face, and Tang Yun could almost see the happiness oozing out.

It was at that moment that Tang Yun was slightly taken aback.

Admiration and hope slowly blossomed within her heart.

It felt as though the story was infectious, and the joy from it swept Tang Yun's confusion away.

A mesmerizing smile finally showed itself on that stunning face.

"Alright then, Yun.

"Rest well for now.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone anything about our conversation today.

"A wrinkly old woman like me has no business butting in on the youngsters' matter.

"I believe that everyone will find their own way, eventually."

Ye Fan's great-grandma didn't share too much about her own past. She simply examined Tang Yun's injury before leaving the room.

When Tang Yun was alone, she became lost in her thoughts once more.

"Yo, why are you still in there? The effects of the medicine should be gone, so why aren't you out yet? I bought you some new clothes. Come on out and see if it fits you well. You can continue taking a medicinal

bath tonight, so hurry it up already."

Ye Fan's voice suddenly filled Tang Yun's ears. Before she knew it, Ye Fan had already entered the room.

Tang Yun was already in the tub and taking a medicinal bath at the time.

When she saw Ye Fan there, she panicked. She covered her breasts right away, and her sexy figure sunk deeper into the water. Her beautiful face turned as red as an apple. "Get out!

"I will kill you if you stay even a second longer."

"Kill me?" repeated Ye Fan. He shook his head and chuckled before he said, "Oh, puh-lease. Given your current situation, you won't even be able to kill an ant."

"Get the f*ck out!" roared Tang Yun once more. Her anger was getting a little out of control.

Being agitated worsened her condition and made her hurt herself again. She coughed as a result.

"Wow, okay. Calm down. Don't strain yourself. I'll leave," said Ye Fan. He quickly admitted defeat and tossed the clothes aside before rushing out of the

place.

That being said, before he left, he turned around and rolled his eyes at Tang Yun. "You didn't need to chase me away. I'm not interested in sneaking a peek, anyway.

"It's not like I haven't seen it before."

"You... Go to hell, you a*shole!" roared Tang Yun who was on the verge of going crazy with anger. She grabbed the clothes within her reach and hurled them at Ye Fan. That prompted him to flee with his tail between his legs.

Tang Yun stared at the shameless guy who fled faster than a fish could die in the desert. She suddenly found the situation to be both infuriating and funny.

That idiot is still as shameless as ever.

Tang Yun couldn't even imagine how her life would be if her son turned out to be just as infuriating as Ye Fan. I will probably die young... and from high blood pressure triggered by immense anger. Ye Fan left the Chu residence after dropping the clothes off for Tang Yun. Then, he went straight to the hill nearby.

"Show yourselves."

Ye Fan stood at the top of the hill with his hands behind his back.

Standing right in front of him was China's territory.

Zip! Zip!

Several figures quietly faded in after Ye Fan issued his orders.

"Gaius, the Earth God."

"Owen, the Fire God."

"Su Muqiu, the Water God."

"Cecil, the Wind God."

"Together, we wish you a pleasant day, Dragon Master."

All four Dragon Slayers were on their knees as they greeted their boss.

Their booming voice was so incredible that the cloud parted.

The terrifying aura they exuded was plentiful, and it created a whirlwind that swept across the land.

Everything within a thousand-meter-radius was affected.

Ye Fan turned around and faced the four Dragon Slayers, who were still kneeling. His handsome face suddenly shone with a hint of power and kindness.

At that moment, he looked like a king that had spent most of his life on the battlefield and was now showing appreciation to the knights that fought beside him.

It was the kind of power and kindness that words simply couldn't describe.

To the Dragon Slayers, Ye Fan truly was their king.

He spent a decade building the Dragon God Hall and training all four Dragon Slayers.

Ye Fan actually sifted through thousands of warriors before choosing the four Dragon Slayers kneeling before him.

They were more gifted, honorable, powerful, and hardworking than most people.

It would not be a stretch to describe these warriors as diamonds hidden among glass shards.

After all, Ye Fan had examined so, so many people and spent so much effort to find them.

"The old saying claimed that it takes a decade of preparation for a moment of glory, and it is true. "My Dragon Slayers, we finally meet again.

"The Dragon God Hall has stayed hidden for a decade, and our meeting today signifies the end of that.

"It won't be long before your names, along with mine, are written in the history books because we are breaking into the Sky Ranking."

Ye Fan spoke softly, but the strength his voice inspired was incredible.

The Dragon Slayers' heart stirred as soon as they heard it.

That voice definitely ignited the passion within them, making everyone all fired up.

Those Dragon Slayers all either regarded Ye Fan as the man who saved them or the man who trained them orthe man who raised them.

Some of them had only seen Ye Fan once in their entire life.

Yet, that didn't matter.

They shared the same goal, and that was why they gathered once more.

Their aim was to destroy the Chu family.

All four Dragon Slayers bowed once more. They simultaneously promised, "We suffered for a decade, and now we shall follow your lead and take on the entire world!" "Good," replied Ye Fan while smiling. He still had his hands behind his back.

He stood proudly under the clouds as though he were a powerful king.

Thunder and lightning filled the sky, and the violent waves hit the shores.

It was as though Mother Nature was reacting to the powerful aura there.

Ye Fan had already finished his speech when a beautiful figure rushed over from the bottom of the hill. She was late.

"Junie, the Forest God, is here to greet the Dragon Master."

Junie was wearing a beautiful outfit, and her long skirt danced with the wind. She was beautiful and was grinning a little. Her delicate figure bowed to greet Ye Fan.

Su Muqiu and the others couldn't help twitching their eyes when they saw Junie finally showing up.

That stupid girl. She's so late that everything is already over! Does she see this as a game?

Gaius was especially concerned. He signaled Junie with his eyes and was trying to get her to apologize to Ye Fan.

Junie, however, acted as though she didn't catch that signal. She giggled and teased, "So, Ye Fan, how was it? It must feel great to be the hero, eh?"

"Hey, watch your tongue! How dare you speak so candidly to the Dragon Master?" growled Owen angrily.

Ye Fan didn't respond one way or another, though. He simply frowned and turned to Junie.

Gaius instinctively closed his eyes when he saw that.

He thought that Ye Fan would definitely hurt Junie.

To his surprise, Ye Fan simply walked to Junie, reached out, and knocked lightly on her head to punish her a little.

"You little troublemaker. Who told you to attend this meeting? Be good, go home, and wait there. I only need the four Dragon Slayers for this mission, and they are the only ones who will join me in my quest to destroy the Chu family."
