The gunshots and the yelling were getting louder as Kamala left the forest and entered the town of Mooncrest. The battle was nearing as she ran closer toward them; she wasn't sure what her game plan was, but Bob and Marlon seemed so sure that she would be able to stop the battle by using her magic. Though they didn't know how deep her magic goes and how different it was. She wasn't sure she was going to be able to control it once it started working. Once she came into view of the battle, she turned back into her human form.

Or more like her body rejected her wolf form. She wasn't sure which it was, but it was unsettling.

The battle was going on around her; as she walked through the fighting, it was almost as if nobody could see her. None of them paid much attention to her; she realized that nothing was able to touch her.

It was amazing; she was wrapped in a bubble of different energy. She couldn't believe it. It seemed as though the dark magic was working around her without her telling it to.

It was both incredible and terrifying at the same time. The magic had a mind of its own. She saw a hazy outline of the dark aura surrounding her. Protecting her from the dangers of what was going on around her.

She saw Bob in the distance and ran towards him, but it was like he couldn't see her. It worried her that no one could see her. Was the dark magic hiding for some reason?

After a breath, Bob's eyes finally flashed to her, and they widened in shock.

"No!!!" He screamed, running toward her.

She looked around and realized other eyes were turned in her direction too. She also realized she was no longer being covered by the dark magic's shield. She ran toward Bob and he wrapped his arms around her, using his body to shield her from anything that flew in her direction. He pulled her towards the area he was hiding in with Marlon and she nearly fell to the ground.

"What were you thinking? Just walking in the middle of a battle?" Bob hissed, analyzing her features and her body, making sure she didn't get hurt.

She tried to smile at him but her entire body, including her face, felt frozen. She had no idea what to do at that point and she was scared.

"I'm sorry," she whispered. He wrapped his arms around her again and pulled her in tightly for a hug.

"You know what to do?" Marlon asked, looking over at her.

She thought about it for a moment, staring off into the battle. She thinks she knew what to do, but when it came down to it, she wasn't sure she was going to be able to accomplish much of anything.

"I don't know," she whispered. "Everything is complicated now. I don't want to hurt anyone."

"Hurt anyone?" Bob asked, raising his eyebrows. He had no idea the extent of her powers.

"I'm sorry," she whispered again. "I should have told you sooner..."

"Told us what sooner?" Bob urged.

"There's no time for this. We need you to stop this battle once and for all," Marlon said.

Kamala peered out into the battlegrounds; she took in a deep breath and nodded. Before she was able to stand up and make herself known.

Bob grabbed onto her arm before she went anywhere.

"Kamala, what are you not telling us?" He asked.

Tears formed in her eyes as she bent down and brushed her lips gently across his. he closed his eyes and breathed her in. It took everything she had to pull away from him, but once she did, she had to bite her bottom lip to keep herself from sobbing. She stepped into the abyss of the battle.

She reached her arms out and the shield formed around her once again; she could hear Bob gasping as she disappeared into the battle.

She closed her eyes; she was unseen by all. She could feel the electricity tingling through her fingertips and the darkness circulating her body. She felt her energy shifting and the shield widening around her. She expanded the shield and as it grew bigger, more of her energy began to drain.

She instantly started feeling tired; it wasn't like before, she had no lighter to spare, only darkness to absorb. She wasn't sure what was going to happen this time, but she felt her body being lifted off the ground.

She heard the soft gasps of her wolf as it struggled to breathe. Begging her to stop, telling her that it was killing her and that she needed to stop. The only problem was that she couldn't. Now that she unleashed this power, it was going to be impossible to stop. Her body no longer felt like her own; she wasn't in control of what was going to happen and she didn't know what the outcome was going to be. She wasn't sure if this was going to work out in their favor or not. She wished she could tell her friends to run far from here, but she couldn't. she couldn't even see what was going on. Her eyes remained closed as darkness continued to fill her.

She was growing angry; she wouldn't have been here if it wasn't because of Deonna in the first place. She had to come to the Roessler manor and tear everything apart. She had to mate with Marlon Roessler and complicate their lives. Having children with the monster that signed away their rights and their freedom.

Then his son was trying to court her; he spent so much time trying to get her to sleep with him. Filled her mind with all this talk about mates and love and it was driving her crazy. It wasn't fair that she was stuck in the middle of this whole thing. It wasn't fair that she had to sacrifice her own body for this. Marlon was the one that wanted her to come here and do this; he was the one who didn't care what happened to her.

He didn't care if she lived or died, as long as she was to save his precious Deonna and their half dirtball children.

Now Kamala was about to die because of his selfishness. How was this fair to her?

It wasn't.

It wasn't fair to her at all.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair at all. Her wolf was being silenced and was practically gone because of this dark magic. The only reason Nyx gave her the light magic, to begin with, is to save Marlon from that castle. The castle had dark magic around it, the same dark magic that was consuming her whole.

Her breathing became rapid as rage filled her.

This wasn't fair. It wasn't fair at all.

She screamed; she screamed that echoed through the night sky. She heard the battling down below ceasing to exist; the sounds of the guns and the screaming from below began to silence as they gazed up at the shining dark wolf that floated before them. She could only imagine what she must look like to them. She knew she wasn't in her human form, but she wasn't sure if she was in her wolf form either.

It was something otherworldly.

Before everything went dark, she heard her name from a distance.

"Kamala!!!"

It was Deonna.

She was told to stay in the village; of course, she defied orders. What was she thinking? Why can't she ever do what she was told?

It wasn't fair. None of it was fair.

She screamed out again and then everything exploded.
