Eda

It took a couple of hours before the poison had worn off. All of us got checked out by the pack doctor and were told that we were fine and that our girls were in great health.

Osborn asked his parents to watch the kids and they wanted to come be with us, but Osborn begged them to let him handle Master Wraith.

They reluctantly agreed and started the girl's bedtime routine while Peelle, Osborn, and I went to the cells to see my father.

Bile rose up in my throat. I can't believe the same man who conceived me also impregnated Alita.

As we walk down, I whisper to my mates, "I need to know what happened to my mother."

Osborn nods as we walk to the cell, and he unlocks it to let us in. They had put Master Wraith in a padded room, and he was in a straitjacket, we wanted to guarantee that he wouldn't be able to kill himself. If he dies, it will be by one of our hands. I crouch down so that my face is in front of his and I ask, "Where is my mother?"

His eyebrows furrow for a moment and then he lets out a manic type of laugh and he asks, "That's what you want to know about?"

He laughs again before saying through his laughter, "You care more about that w***e of a woman than you do about Alita."

Osborn's fist clenched and he swiftly delivered an uppercut to Master Wraith's face. Peelle says in a harsh voice, "She asked you a question."

He looks at me with a sadistic smile and darkened eyes as he says, "I killed that b***h a year ago when she went against my orders."

I gasp in shock and I'm surprised about the feelings that flood through me: sadness, anger, relief, despair, it's all so much and I stumble as I try to grasp everything.

Osborn says, "Now, where is our sister?"

He shakes his head and says, "Boy, it's going to take a whole lot more than a harsh voice and a punch to the face to get me to tell you where we were. Besides, I thought you had her. That's the only reason I'm here."

Peelle helps me up and walks out the door with me, leaving Osborn alone. He says as we walk out, "We need my mom. She would be able to hear his thoughts. She might be able to figure out what city Alita is in."

My eyebrows raise and I say, "That's a great idea."

He nods as we walk and asks in a low voice, "Are you okay?"

I press my lips together and then say, "I'm conflicted, but I'll be alright, let's get your mom."

We rush off to find Claudia and she was more than happy to help us. She didn't even need to enter the room; she could hear his thoughts from outside. Tears fill her eyes, and she says, "She's in Italy. They were in Venice. But there's more... he brainwashed her. She doesn't even know her real name."

Peelle says, "I'll be back, mom, let me get Osborn out of there."

Claudia nods in response and I ask, "Do you know what she thinks her name is?"

She nods her head slowly as she says, "She thinks her name is Aurora May Bell. And she thinks that Master Wraith is her mate and that his name is Aamon."

Osborn and Peelle walk out, and I say, "Come on, let's get your dad and figure out what we're going to do."

Once we get back to the pack house, thankfully Faith and Hope are both asleep. Evan joins us in Osborn's office and Osborn breathes out as he tugs at his hair in frustration, "I can't leave. There's too much going on here."

Peelle has his arms crossed and he says, "You can't leave, but I can. Mom and dad can too."

I ask, "What about me?"

Peelle looks at me with a softness in his eyes as he says, "My dear, do you really think you could handle the time without the girls? And it might be dangerous. The girls can't come with."

I press my lips together, I know he's right, but that doesn't make it easy.

Osborn comes to my side and says, "You can stay with me. We'll help keep each other sane." He looks to his parents and asks, "Where are you going to start searching for her? We know she was in Venice, but the whole reason Master Wraith was here was because he couldn't find her."

Claudia sighs, "I don't know. We'll start with Venice and continue to search from there. We just need to start."

Evan nods, "I'll start looking up some packs in Italy. Hopefully, I can find some near Venice that will allow us to stay there and might even help us look for her."

Osborn nods, "I'll help you search tonight, dad. Mom, Peelle, you guys should start packing and get some rest, I'm sure once we figure out some packs that you guys will be leaving first thing tomorrow."

Peelle takes my hand so that I would come help him. I hate the thought of him leaving for who knows how long, but this needs to be done. We must find Alita.

I just hope she is safe and that she left because she realized Master Wraith was bad news, not because someone else took her.

My stomach is twisted with anxiety, but Peelle comes and kisses my head trying to soothe my mind.

He tells me, "I'll be back as soon as I can, my love."

I nod, "I know you will. I'll miss you, but... it's time. It's been time. I'm just grateful we were finally able to get a lead."

He nods in agreement, "I'm sure we'll find her in no time."

"Keep in mind that she's pregnant. We don't know how far along she is. Maybe you guys can find her doctor?"

Peelle smiles at me, "That's a great idea, Eda, thank you." He kisses me softly and says, "You're always so helpful."

I chuckle as I shake my head and he continues to pack. Even though he hasn't left yet, I already miss him.
