Alpha's Little Vampire Mate -
Chapter 86
Chloe's
POV:
I watched as Lily's bird flew away, then went around the house in a change of direction. I waited, until I heard her ask me to shift her back and she confirmed that she was with Mark. "Baby," I said, swiftly spinning around. "Once they are out of here, then it's time to make the move. You leave first, gather the men and wait for me in the woods. We need to make a grand entrance." His lips pursed, his eyes narrowed into slits. "Whatever you have going on in that head of yours, you can forget about it," he said with finality. "I am not leaving you alone, not for a second!" I huffed, rolling my eyes at him. He was such a stubborn wolf that there was no reasoning with him. "Fine, I can just teleport and leave you on here all by yourself." I smirked, giving him a teasing look. "You wouldn't dare," he growled slowly.
"Oh, you challenge me, don't you? See me dare now," I snapped my fingers, putting on invisibility.
Marcus's mouth hit the ground and his eyes widened in disbelief before he huffed in anger. "You had better be playing a prank on me, because if you seriously left here, I would be very cross with you!" I tried not to laugh.
"Chloe Zephora Tristan! Out with you this minute!"
He was beginning to sound agitated and in no time, he would begin to raise his voice and that could attract unwanted attention to us and that was not what I wanted in the least.
Before he could open his mouth to speak again, I appeared before him, batting my eyes at him sexily. "Let's go honey," I said, grabbing his hand and just like that, he followed me like a fool.
I made us both invisible again as we entered the passage, and I followed my magic's direction in Lily. I started to pull Marcus towards where the magic was emanating from and I led us to a little shed at the back of the house. My mouth dropped open, and I heard an angry growl leave Marcus.
"Of all places in this godforsaken place, this trotted shed is where they saw fit to keep my Beta?" He growled slowly. "Mark is in trouble with me, serious trouble!"
I glared up at him. "You seriously are not blaming Mark for getting caught, are you?"
"I am," he stated blatantly. "It is an insult to me and the pack in entirety. How could he let himself get kidnapped by such low lives?"
I know, right? My husband was such a cocky bastard! We were yet to even set eyes on his Beta, to confirm if he was still alive or not, but what bothered him was the fact that the situation had messed with his pride. Phew!
"Let's at least go in first and see if he is alright." I left him there, going ahead and passed in through the door. My eyes fell on the couple on the floor. I looked around to see the heads of goats and sheeps, peeking out from their stalls. "They kept you in the goat house?!"
My angry voice seemed to get their attention. Both of them turned to me, Lily looking relieved, while Mark gave me an exhausted look. He suddenly looked past me and instantly, I felt Marcus beside me.
"It was about time you came," Mark whispered, his lips quivering up into a smirk. "I thought you wouldn't make it in time before I got murdered."
There was a low growl from behind me. "Actually, I wish you died-"
I gasped, as I saw a hurt look cross Lily's face. Obviously she was offended and I really did not want to feel bad for her after how much she had betrayed me, but my heart still reached out to her.
"-it would have been better than seeing you chained up in a goat house," he said with his tongue against his teeth. "You shame me Mark, you shame me!"
I smacked him on the chest. "Hush! This is no time to look for faults, we have wolves to kill, so we better be on our way!" I conjured up pressure on the chains that held Mark's hand and they came undone, falling off his wrists and onto the ground.
Before I could even ask Lily to help him up, he spring to his feet, shaking off the stiffness in his body. "Did I hear someone say we had wolves to kill?" He smirked evilly, wriggling an eyebrow.
I started to argue with him that he should stand in the side with Lily, but Marcus stopped me, saying that it was time for Mark to regain his lost glory. And that was how me all left the shed, Mark and Lily kissing behind us. "Please, do not rip the clothes off each other, we are now in the open," Marcus growled, making me roll my eyes.
I hid a smile, not wanting Lily to misunderstand it and think that all was well with us when actually, I still had a few 'not very nice' things to say to her.
Everyone, gather around! I commanded, already leading my group out into the woods.
Once everyone was present, I began to speak. "Now, we grace the party." I turned to Marcus and Lily, "You both are to remain close by, I will call for you, when I need you to show yourselves, okay?" They nodded.
My eyes met with my husband's for a minute and I didn't need an oracle to tell me that he was not in the least pleased with what was about to happen but I was far past the stage to care! Now, I needed to rip someone apart and until I did that, I would know no rest!
