Alpha’s Slave Luna
Chapter 110

Otis's POV:

Dark shadows shrouded every corner of the forest, with the occasional nocturnal animal passing me by, and on a night when the moon was not very bright, I walked through the darkness without borders, always heading northwest. The leather wrappings behind me lurched, my sense of hearing and smell subconsciously observing everything around me, all life is afraid of the dark, and on this night instead of being sleepy I became very refreshed.

I could feel the Blue-moon Pack growing distant behind me, this time Conrad would not be with me, I would be doing this alone, I would be walking alone on the hard rock, cutting away the thorns along the way. At this thought I glanced ahead at the unknown end of the road and my heart grew firm in the moment.

From this direction, all I had to do was look for the tops of the mountains that held snow, and by my keen sense of smell and perception, I would be able to find the snow sprites.

I will definitely be able to find it.

I thought in my mind, imagining the environment that might lie ahead, but an inexplicable feeling of coldness came over my body.

The cold clung to the surface of my body as if it were conscious, and I tried to disperse it with the power that flowed through my fur and blood, but it did nothing.

Something was wrong, it wasn't a physical cold, it was inside me.

My breathing suddenly stopped for a moment, then my pupils dilated in that moment and I became instantly alert because I trusted my instincts.

What the hell was going on, I had only just left the Blue-moon Pack by a short distance and this should still be the area around the Blue-moon Pack.

The winds ahead of me lunged towards my face and they rushed into my nostrils, the scent of the forest inside making me feel breathable but also at the same time leaving me with no way to smell what was behind me. Oh yes, this was the area around the Blue-moon Pack!

A possibility suddenly occurred to me, then my ears twitched and I heard something not so unusual.

Something was behind me!

My heart suddenly skipped a beat and I perked my ears up to maximize the reception of the sound, then I picked up some of my speed slightly.

Perhaps it was my increased speed that made the sound more pronounced, the grass behind me made a subtle trampling sound of dirt and a slight trembling of the leaves occurred.

These tiny sounds reached my ears. They were so tiny, almost identical to the sounds of small animals moving, that if they hadn't been following me, I would have thought it was just the movement of some small animal! This must be a Seeker with great tracking skills!

Who was following me? Was it someone from the Blue-moon Pack?

No, my people wouldn't do such a thing, it must be someone else with malice in their hearts.

I felt some cold malice solidify on my back, a feeling that also made us feel a little uneasy, my muscles slowly tensed up and when the woods opened up ahead of me, I suddenly stopped in my tracks.

I could never let a stalker get away, I had to find out who he was here, and if he was an enemy of the Dusk Pack, I would kill him here!

The power of the bloodline flowed through my whole body and I turned my head at this time.

The woods became silent at this point, the movement behind me completely gone, only the clear chirping of insects and the song of a distant nightingale telling of the presence of sound.

The shadows still loomed over the trees, the trees and thick undergrowth obscured a large area, and even with my good eyesight at night I could not see around all the corners.

The man who was following me was hiding somewhere, he was hiding all sound, he must have been staring at me quietly in the darkness, I could sense a gaze in the darkness that made me feel uncomfortable.

I scanned the woods behind me, the smell of the surrounding area entered my nostrils along with the flowing air, although I couldn't see around all the corners, I could smell this airy and tiresome smell. Suddenly my eyebrows jumped as this thick scent of fur was unique to some Dusk Pack warriors!

Surely it was one of the Dusk Pack.

Murderous intent came over me and I took my steps to head towards the trees, but the moonlight became a little brighter just at that moment.

The silvery white light shone through the gaps between the dark clouds and a strong sense of crisis gripped my heart, I raised my head suddenly and then my body stiffened for a moment.

My pupils constricted as I saw, hundreds of feet up a hill cliff, some dense black shadows blocking out the light of the moon.

These darknesses were almost in the same line as the direction of the moon, they were not at all in the shape of those rocks, and I understood in a flash what those things were, and my face turned hard in the moment. Those were werewolves that had transformed into wolves!

Without any hesitation, I turned my body and headed for the forest.

The wind ahead became fierce, and out of the corner of my eye, the dark shadows on the cliff began to move quickly, and they were moving in the direction of my front!

They knew I had spotted them!

The trees behind me rattled violently and the sound of two branches snapping rang in my ears, as if because they knew they had been exposed, the werewolves following me were no longer hiding. Why were there Dusk Pack men ambushing the Blue-moon Pack?

As I ran at breakneck speed, some doubts appeared inside me.

In the darkness of the night, these werewolves had followed me just as I left the Blue-moon Pack, why were they so fast?

My breath suddenly paused at the thought as a horrible possibility occurred to me.

They had been ambushed around the Blue-moon Pack a long time ago!

But a long time ago, Conrad and I were still on our way back, we weren't at the Blue-moon Pack at all, and if they attacked at this time, I'm afraid our wolves wouldn't be able to resist........

My face turned very ugly at the thought of this, while a wave of murderous intent and anger surged through my heart.

Perhaps if it wasn't for their fear of plague contagion, our wolves would have been attacked by the Dusk Pack!

The darkness ahead encroached, behind me the sound of increasingly dense footsteps, branches snapping and a sea of sound emanating from between the scraping of leaves.

To my left and to my right, there were dark shadows, and enemies in almost every direction except behind me!

I had no idea of their number, and the eyes full of malice swept over my body like a pair of hands that were about to drag me into the abyss.

My frown became even tighter; I was now alone and I feared that I would need to take a very big risk if I wanted to deal with them.

I looked into the endless distance, power gradually filling my limbs, my speed had long since surpassed that of a normal werewolf, I only needed to increase my speed again and I could quickly leave them behind, but just as I was about to increase my speed, I suddenly came to a halt.

The Blue-moon Pack were still in a period of recovery, and if the attending healer created a potion of relief to get the clan moving again, perhaps these Dusk Pack enemies would mistake them for being cured and without the threat of the plague, and these enemies would probably attack the Blue-moon Pack!

Such a possibility may be relatively unlikely, but there is absolutely no way I would allow any possibility of a crisis for my wolves either.

Moreover, although Conrad now has unimaginable power and he is perfectly capable of defeating these wolves, the pack is so weak that there is no way Conrad can take on all of them at once.

If he did, some of them would die!

No, I would not allow it.

I didn't immediately increase my speed, but kept my distance from them.

I wanted to delay them as long as I could, so that they would get further and further away from the Blue-moon Pack, and even make them give up their intention to attack the wolves. I'm going to guide these Dusk Pack enemies and get them to head northwest away from the Blue-moon Pack!
