Otis's

POV:

"You want the spring, but I can only give it to this lady of noble blood, and you are just a lowly werewolf, you are not worthy to witness this, get out of my pack!" The werewolf's icy voice filled the room and I even felt the temperature in the room drop a little with it.

As he spoke, my insides raced and Eda let out a frantic cry.

"Otis, I sense that this guy is very dangerous, I'm afraid his strength is so terrifying that even you right now might not be a match for him!"

"I can feel it, this guy is so strong that he doesn't even look like a werewolf, but a terrifying monster!"

Thoughts danced inside my head as I watched Conrad clench his fists tightly, his strong back in front of me, as if he was going to strike soon.

Yet I could feel that Kazan was even more powerful than Conrad!

We can't start a fight with him, we don't have a huge grudge against Kazan, we must find a way to de-escalate all this!

With that in mind, I quickly squeezed Conrad's palm, and my movement caused him to look back with some surprise.

"Conrad, this guy is strong and we're on the inside of the other wolf pack!"

I leaned into his ear and spoke in the smallest of voices.

"It's not just him, he has countless Totem Pack henchmen, if we get into a conflict with him, I'm afraid our lives are in danger, not to mention trying to get the antidote!" "But he's treating you..."

"It doesn't matter, if he really wants to do anything, I'll just run away, you know how fast I am."

Conrad froze at my words, a surge of strength came from above the palm of his hand squeezing mine, then he fixed me with a serious dark blue gaze.

"I'll be at the front door of Totem Pack, if I sense any movement coming from inside I'll be the first to rush in and save you."

With that he turned and walked towards the room beyond, accompanied by Kazan's voice full of contempt.

"It's good to realise your inferiority sooner rather than later, saves me the effort of throwing you out."

Kazan scoffed as he said this and slumped back on the couch with a look on his face that things were just as they should be.

As the voice rang out, I saw Conrad clench his fists a little, but he didn't turn around.

A heavy feeling also appeared in my heart.

The responsibility of saving the wolves was on our shoulders at the same time, it was something we had to do, and if it wasn't for the wolves, Conrad, with his character, would have fought Kazan. I had to find a way to get the antidote out of Kazan's hands.

"Well, with the annoying flies gone, this noble lady with the bloodline of the Moon God, may I invite you to join me for dinner?"

Suddenly Kazan's voice rang out again, his gaze sweeping straight over my body as if he were viewing some work of art, a feeling that made me uncomfortable, as if some tiny worm was wriggling through my body. "Alpha Kazan, thank you very much for the invitation, but the Breath of the Gods is troubling my wolves and I must get the antidote as soon as possible."

I softened my tone with all my might, but Kazan frowned at my words, but he quickly changed his face and once again took on a look full of sincerity.

"Noble lady, it doesn't matter how many of those lowly wolves out there die, it's fine to settle after the breath of the gods, wait until after dinner with me and I promise I can give you the antidote."

"Give me the antidote first, and I agree to dine with you."

"Why do you care about those lowly werewolves......."

Kazan froze for a moment as he looked at me with a serious gaze as if he had a sudden change of heart.

"Fine, I'll agree to your request."

After saying that, Kazan's tall body stood up from the couch and then took the lead towards the door.

The stone suddenly fell from my heart; if this guy didn't agree, I couldn't think of any other way.

The sun shone outside the room once again, but just as I stepped out of the doorway, I felt a huge palm grab my shoulder.

"Noble lady, you are truly beautiful, just like the legendary Moon God, may I have the honour of knowing your name."

The tall body blocked the sunlight aside, Kazan's voice was filled with frivolity, the weird tattoos on his body were right in front of my eyes, and the one hand he grabbed my shoulder was so full of power that I couldn't even save myself from the thought of breaking free. Not to mention that I couldn't afford to provoke him now.

"My name is Otis."

The walk on my shoulder made my body stiffen and I forced myself to suppress the discomfort in my heart and answer Kazan's words in a normal tone. "Otis, what a beautiful name!"

Kazan's tone was full of praise, running his gaze over my body as he walked, and I finally had something to hold back.

"Alpha Kazan, I hope to obtain the antidote soon."

My voice caused him to pause and he glanced towards me once more, seeming to understand the importance of the potion to me. "You stay behind me."

He sped up a little after saying that, but he still didn't let go of his hand from my shoulder.

The air became even hotter in the sun as Kazan and I walked through the odd building, and ahead of us was the huge pyramid, over three hundred feet.

The Totem Pack looked around us with curious eyes, but they only scanned the area for a moment, bowing their heads in respect when they saw Kazan. Kazan seemed to have absolute status within the pack and no wolves dared even look Kazan in the face.

Suddenly I lifted the tip of my nose and I felt the strange smell in the air become stronger, the scent of the gods that Kazan had spoken of.

The people of Totem Pack were thinning out around me, even the buildings were becoming less, and some strange plants were starting to grow. Those of the Totem Pack seemed to subconsciously stay away as they approached the place, with only Totem Pack warriors patrolling the area.

"Up ahead is our Totem Pack sanctuary, and the spring that can resolve the Breath of the Gods is there too."

Kazan's voice was filled with reverence for the holy place, and at the same time he released his hand from my shoulder.

The stiffness in my body was instantly relieved, and at that moment I saw a wonderful area not far away.

This area was directly in front of the pyramid, which was enclosed by countless tall totems and possessed various stone monuments with inscribed designs, and in the centre an ancient well. The antidote to the plague was there? Could it be the well water?

My heart was filled with anticipation, as long as I could get the water from the well, the Blue-moon Pack's crisis would be solved and I would have nothing to fear.

The light came on in my heart, and I even had some control to speed up my steps.

The smell of the gods' breath rushed inside my nostrils, and this totem-shrouded area was clearly devoid of plants, but the smell was getting stronger and stronger, making it feel very eerie.

Kazan walked ahead of me and took the lead into the area, then he went to the well and drew a bucket full of water and filled it with a kettle with an odd design on it.

"Noble lady, this is our Totem Pack's sacred spring water, he possesses the power to fully attune a werewolf to the breath of the gods."

He said as he handed me the spring water, while pointing to the centre of the totem enclosed in the centre.

"In the tradition of our Totem Pack, the rules laid down by our Grand Witch of Totem Pack, to take the Holy Spring you must complete our ritual, you need to sit on your knees in the centre of our totem and reverently keep your prayers to the Moon God until the moment the moon appears."

"Ritual?"

I listened to his voice and my heart was filled with amazement, then I saw Kazan turn around and walk towards the outside of the area.

"To gain access to the sacred spring water this is necessary, noble lady, I will now go and attend to some Totem Pack business and when the moon appears I will invite you to come and dine with me."

With that his tall back faded away and I froze for a moment with the jug of holy water in my hand, then I released my senses.

The sounds and smells around me were meticulously discerned, and soon I opened my eyes.

Without surprising me, I sensed that the area was surrounded by guards who were monitoring the area.

There was a tingling sensation on my skin, a feeling of being watched by many eyes.

Now was not the time to run.

I took a deep breath and looked at the patterns that appeared on the ground, which came together in a central area, forming a circle, the centre where the ritual needed to be completed.

I forced myself to endure the discomfort caused by these patterns and went to sit on my knees on the circle formed by the patterns.

It was at this point that I felt much less of the eyes that were focused on me, and my movement managed to dissuade the guards from their vigilance.

Was I really going to sit here on my knees and wait until after the evening meal with Kazan before I could leave?

The question echoed repeatedly in my mind, and a bad feeling came over me, but I didn't know what it meant.
