Agent Matthews walks further into the office and stands next to Harvey, looking through the file he took out.

Agent Matthews looks back at us. "Alpha Nathan came to the werewolf council after the death and torture of his Luna, son and pack," she says. "He wasn't even the only Alpha that came to us within months of each other, rogues were tearing apart small packs and killing members that wouldn't turn on their alphas."

We look back at her. "Alpha Nathan wanted to help take them down. He wanted revenge," she said and looked at Harvey. "I think both Harrison and you need to sit down for this."

Both men took a seat next to Jackie, who sat in the middle of them. I lean on the desk while other members are here to take seats wherever they can find seats.

"You see, we needed him to act like he was a rogue after what happened and he did," she says and sits on the windowsill, staring at us.

"Alpha Nathan went into character as a rogue and even infiltrated the rogue pack in question, he found out all about Gary but somehow it was short-lived as one night in question a woman approached him and started to come onto him," she says. "She slipped him a drug that made him all hot and horny."

"His words, not mine," she says with eyes scrunched together and she shakes her head. "The woman didn't tell him her name, only she wanted to be with a real man for the night. After a wild night, the woman was gone the next morning without a word," she said with a sigh.

Agent Matthews looked on with a stern look plastered on her face. "Alpha Nathan came back to the werewolf council feeling drained that every same day and wanted us to test him which we did, we found loads of GHB in his system which for a human would have killed them but for a werewolf it made him feel different and have an out-of-body experience, we knew he was telling us the truth due the test result but this was not the first either of hearing what this pack of rogues were doing when we asked if he could remember the woman he couldn't place her not till a few months later when she found him and told him that she was pregnant with his baby."

I can feel the tension in the air. Agent Matthews carried on. "She wanted money from him to provide for her child, as she told him, but she started blackmailing him for more, telling him she would tell packs never to trust someone who could not look after their own child. Alpha Nathan had lost everything due these rogues, but she was going to prove that he had another child by another woman not long after losing his precious wife," she says.

The anger in the room was hard to handle but suddenly Agent Matthews stood up. "Alpha Nathan is Hayley's father, Vivian ran the blood sample I had from him," she says with no conviction in her voice. Both Harvey and Harrison growl loud. "Why would you do that?" Harvey asks and stands up quickly.

"When you rang and told me about Ruth being in charge of the pack, alpha Nathan was with me at the time. He found out the woman's name a few years back by following leads. He wanted to find out more about her. He found out her name was Ruth. When he came back to the werewolf council, he told me her name and when you told me, it had to be her. So I mentioned all the things that have been happening with your pack with the rogues and Ruth, but when he heard Hayley's name, he wanted to help out and make sure that Ruth would be killed," she says.

Harvey looks at her. "You invited him here, haven't you?" he says with a blank look on his face. I think he was trying to absorb all the information we were having. I know I was.

Agent Matthews doesn't say a word, but suddenly she nods.

"Can he be tested?" I ask her suddenly, which causes everyone to look at me confused. "I mean, can Vivian take his blood to see if he is a match to Hayley?" I ask as I move off the desk. I can feel eyes on me. "Hayley lost a lot of blood due to her injuries and apparently she has a rare blood type and they are running out of blood for her."

Harvey looks back at me and then at Harrison. "Is that true?" He asks and Harrison nods his head. "Yeah, Vivian said she's not healing due to the stab wounds that bitch caused her, and she is losing loads of blood due to them." Harvey looks back at Agent Matthews with concern on his face. "When will he be arriving?" He asks with no emotion in his voice.

Agent Matthews looks blankly at us and when she comes back. "He will be here in twenty minutes," she says.

He nods.

Suddenly, a mind link comes through. "Theo, you need to come to the hospital right now," says the pack doctor.

I look back at Hayley's brothers. "The pack doctor needs me back at the hospital, it's Hayley," I say to them.

No one says a word as all three of us leave, Harvey already at the door and Harrison follow suit with me leading the way.

We ran to the hospital, and the doctor was waiting for us at the top of the steps. "Boys, we need to talk about Hayley," she says and points to the waiting room.

We all head inside.

The pack doctor was about to shut the door, but Vivian comes in and sits on Harvey's lap. Emma was already in the waiting room. She must have stayed behind to make sure someone was here for Hayley.

"Okay..." says the pack doctor. "We finally got the stab wounds to close up as Vivian found what was causing them to stay open. It was a poison that was used many years ago as a torture technique back in the day on rogues and outsiders," she says.

"Where the hell would she could have gotten hold of that?" asks Harvey but Vivian turns and looks at him. "We had some here in the hospital. The old alpha used it in the cells on the rogues whenever they caught one. It was a technique only the alphas would know back in the day," she said.

"How do you know..." he starts to say, but she places a kiss on his mouth and moves back away from him after a few seconds "I'm what you call a nerd, I like to read up on history especially about old traditions. There is a log book in the library which is not allowed to be opened to anyone but pack doctors, so when mum had me helping her out here in the hospital, I gained access to it. My mum tested me on all types of poisons there were in the world." Harvey looks at her. His face is trying not to smile but also he looks like he could take her right here in front of us but the pack doctor clears her throat. "I gave Vivian a task a few months back to look through them and to find out some of the poisons that were used for this pack back in the day, the poison that we used is the one that Ruth used on Hayley," she says but her face changes slightly. "Well, we found the antidote for it and her wounds are healing nicely but she is going to have some really ugly looking scars on her body from now on due to them," she says and sighs. "We have given her all the blood we can give her but we need someone with her blood type to at least fill a bag for her. She might need more over the next few days," she says.

"We might have someone coming to the pack that might help," I tell her, which catches her off guard, but she looks at me and smiles. "That's great. Have them sent here to the pack hospital or Vivian can do it at the pack house. It is completely up to you."

"I will do it," says Vivian suddenly with a smile.

"Can I see her?" I ask "I need to. Jake is on edge and we need to be with her."

The pack doctor looks at me. "I will allow you, Theo, to be with her. Harvey and Harrison, you can see her too," she says and opens the door and ushers us out.

Both men kiss their mates while I head on ahead following the doctor. We come to a corner room and the doctor turns around. "She's in here. I thought she should have a room of her own," she says softly.

I nod but I can't look at her. I open the door and walk in.

Once through the door, all I can hear is beeping noises, but as soon as I look in the bed, my heart breaks.

Hayley lays motionless in the middle of the bed, tubes sticking out of her in different places and she is covered in bandages.

I walk towards the bed and take the seat next to her as the door opens to her brothers. They both take a look at her and I can see silent tears flow from their eyes. I can't help but cry.

Hayley shouldn't be in here. She should be in my bed with me or at least with me holding her.

I place my hand in hers.

I can feel the tingles of our mate bond run through me.

Jake appears through my eyes as he looks at our mate. "Mate," he says in a whisper, I can feel his heartbreak at the sight of her.

After a few minutes, "what will happen to Mum?" asks Harrison. I look over to him.

He stares at Hayley, not looking at either of us.

Harvey sighs "Agent Matthews will kill her, but she wants to know what happens with Hayley first, besides I think the bigger question is how do you feel about meeting Hayley's biological father?" He asks, looking back at him. I move my eyes back to Hayley; I gently rub my thumb over her knuckles.

"Hayley is our sister, she will always be that," says Harrison. "And as her biological father, we can figure it out, but it has nothing to do with us. It is all up to Hayley. We don't know what was said back in that tent."

That's true. I haven't heard my mate's voice since yesterday morning.

"I think we need to wait till Hayley wakes up," I say. "Let her decide about her father."

But I look back at both of them who are staring at Hayley. "But I think we should talk to Ruth beforehand, Hayley has suffered enough because of that woman, we need to help her move forward and I know we all have something to say to the bitch before her death but I do honestly think that Hayley can also decide on what she wants to do as regards to her too, if she never wants to see her again then we let Agent Matthews kill her but if she does want to talk to her, we all are going to be there with her when she does, she doesn't do it alone," I say to them.

Both men look back at me and nod. "I think we let Hayley decide, she was brave enough to confront Carly in the cells so maybe she can do it again with mother," Harvey says as he moves closer to the other side of the bed and he leans over to kiss Hayley's head. "She looks so small in this bed," he says in a whisper when he moves back.

I couldn't help but agree with him.

"I think we will leave you to have some mate time with Hayley," says Harrison as he looks at Harvey. "We will let you know what's happening, but you need to be here with her. She may even heal quicker with you being here," he says.

I nod and look back at my mate. "I will let you know what's happening with her," I say as both men turn to leave through the door.

Once they left and it was just Hayley and me, I couldn't help get out of the chair and lean into her. I sniff her scent.

Her scent calms Jake down and I sit back down next to her and place a kiss on her hand.

I hope she will wake up soon.

I miss her like crazy.
