Chapter 107

~ROYAL CASTLE, FAIRYLAND (IN THE PAST, BJT VALOR IN FUTURE)~

"I am very fine. What about you, Valor?" She moved closer to him, and came outside the room. While everyone in that room was sad, and in pain, but these two people were in their own world. He wasn't able to comprehend and decide what to answer her! On the other hand, she wasn't someone who would buy any lies.

It was his last chance to open up his heart, if not as a lover, then as a friend. He had to do it, for her, for himself. Thus, composing his posture, he smiled, a smile which never reached his eyes and which carried pain, replying,

"I am very fine. See, I am here in front of you. But what happened to you? And how did this all happen? Why were you like that?"

He asked pointing his finger towards her pale dead body which was still lying over the bed. He was switching gazes in between the two. Once he looked at her corpse, which looked like she was a mere fairy and mothing else. People die daily. What was new into that! But the other moment, when he looked at her soul, his eyes softened, at her fresh look and the cornered love bloomed again.

How can life be so unpredictable! He was thinking all these, when he heard her chuckling sound. Looking at her, he found her nodding her head to all possible directions helplessly, and heard her saying,

"Well, it's a long story. And I don't have enough time to tell you everything. But I am very happy that I met you before departing. You know valor, (coming more closer to him, she held his hands in hers and looked at him softly), you were so good a friend of mine that I missed you badly. And I know, if you would have been here, then may be I won't be like this now. But see, life is really unpredictable."

She retrieved her hold and he felt the emptiness taking over his whole being. He felt like a piece of his heart was plucked out by someone bare-handedly and yet he didn't die and was made to live without it for eternity. She wasn't aware of his feelings, but was thankful. Understanding his complicated emotions, she knew he didn't want her to leave, bit she had no other choices. So, she moved away from him and said,

"Ask me what you want, Valor. I don't have much of time here."

As soon as these words left her mouth, his soul was struck with a lightening. He never thought that he had to leave her, that she would ask him to leave. But he again looked down and the red beaded thread caught his attention making him sober once again. He asked,

"Tell me what happened, little rat. Because, four days ago, when we met, everything was fine. Then how come all this happened? Tell me, I want to know everything."

The girl smiled and started to narrate everything to him. The more she kept on telling him, the more his veins were popping out, making her aware of the fact that he was getting furious. But what had happened could not be changed at any cost. By the time, she had finished, his eyes were downpouring. If tears could be collected, he must have flodded the entire castle by now.

As they were talking, they both heard a thunderstorm, and a strong, dazzling, white light appeared from the roof of castle, landing on his little rat's body. They both knew what it was. She smiled to him one last time, and stood below the light in a perfect spot. It was time for her to go.

Valor was trying to hold her, hut all in vain. He was flesh and blood, but she was a soul. How could he touch her. His emotions took over him completely and the thread started to glow maniacally too. Noticing this, she said,

"Don't waste your life for me, Valor. You will get another friend. I was lucky to have you as my friend. But now, I must leave."

He wasn't able to say anything, as if his throat had been jammed and his words were absorbed into the deepest pits of his body. But still managed to ask her,

"When would I see you again, little rat?"

His eyes held hopes and care. His gaze was so soft, that she was forced to reply back,

"Try to look around you, Valor. I am besides you, always. But, don't do anything which you would regret later. TAKE CARE."

Saying that she disappeared in that white light, and he plopped over the ground, crying heavily. His heart was in a mess from the day she left, but never knew the reasons. But now, when he know the truth, he must confront it and bring her back. But she said to look around. Did she mean....!!

Reality hit him hard and harder, and he signaled Evanora to pull him back. Here Evanora who was ready, got the signal, and sighed in relief. She casted the spell....

"Hic rursus lanuae Magicae." And he got teleported back to the past where Evanora was standing holding the same pillar with her one hand, while her other hand immediately rested over the red beaded thread over his wrist when he appeared.

She narrowed Her eyes, hoping to hear something positive from his side, to which he nodded to assure her that he got to know what he desired. But he was still not able to let her go. On thing was pestering his heart that, he would never be able to leave his little rat. He decided to protect her then and there.

Evanora was a witch. She got to know his thoughts and immediately suggested,

She knew what he wanted to do and she couldn't afford that. They couldn't do anything in the fairy land that would create havoc here and they would land themselves in a problem. But it was already too late for that. Valor spoke up, reminding her,

"If we would have been able to leave willingly, we would have got teleported back to mortal world, not here. If we are still here, that just means, the task is still unfulfilled. Lady Evanora, I understand that you have helped me, and now you want to leave. But we are in this together now.

Since I know the truth now, I know that I can protect my little rat. So, I choose to stay here for the next four days till I safeguard her. I won't force you to do anything, but I am sorry because you can't leave without me. So, if you don't want to help me any further, then you are free. You can stay here calmly for the rest of days, while I continue my task. Once finished, we can head back."

Listening to his reasoning, her eyes went wide. She wasn't able to decipher it and didn't see this coming. She thought,

"If I stay here for four days, then Estella will leave in the mean time, and I won't be able to locate her ever again. I have to leave at any cost. But how!!" Looking at her getting immersed in her thoughts, Valor understood her difficulties and responded back,

"Don't worry. The times here and in mortal world are totally different. While we stay here four days, it will still be the same day in mortal world. Just a difference of few hours. So, relax. If you have anyone else to attend to in the mortal world, after going back, you can for sure."

This wasn't a very lovely statement, but she was relaxed to hear it. At least she could try it after returning. For the time being, if she wanted to leave earlier, she had only one option left, and that was to help valor. Willingly or unwillingly, both of them were struck here. Valor wanted to be here, because he wanted to protect his love and Evanora, because she wanted to leave early. Both had different aims, bit still United.

"Don't worry. I won't leave you in between. And I said earlier that you impressed me very much in the first meeting. I promised to give you something else in return. So, for that, we had to leave together. Let's get started. What you want to do first?" asked Evanora to Valor, who moved his gaze towards the same room, and replied,

"First of all, I want to see my Little rat."
