Anything For You
Chapter 137

"I am amazed that you arranged for a meeting so soon. Am I worthy of this princess?" Leevon asked Calista, sitting in front of her in a wine shop inside the borders of ROXFLOOD kingdom. Since king Faust had agreed, she had immediately sent him the message about discussing a business proposal. It wasn't business that excited her, but Leevon. She wanted to figure out if it was same with Leevon. "Do you have any doubts, Lee?" She used the politest of her tones to cross-question him clearing his self-doubts.

"I am." He replied and both of them joined together a smile. The waiter arrived with their wine glasses and some snacks, Calista had ordered; Some prawns and seaweeds preparations.

"I hope this breakfast is to your liking. I don't know what you prefer the most, but it's one of the best dishes in my kingdom." She said arranging his plate. He was looking at her with puzzled eyes. It had been the first time that Calista was arranging foods for someone; let alone a human.

Although there were SOOPERS in the kingdom, but because of the new rules, nobody suffered. All were provided good food and respective jobs. So, it didn't arouse any suspicions in Leevon's mind. For him, it was just like another kingdom with people from different areas and countries who got settled in here.

He had been to other kingdoms, met with kings and elites for business since he had taken over the corporation after his father retired himself. Such a young and successful man in his late twenties. He was watching the girl arrange everything. All his life, he had thought that it was a man's job to do these things for his girl, but Calista was something else. He was liking her more today.

"I still can't believe that we just two days ago and now ... we are sitting having breakfast in your kingdom; obviously arranged by you, princess. I am flattered." Leevon said trying to initiate a conversation.

"Its Calista for you, Lee." She replied back still busy in her food. Forwarding the plate towards him, she looked at him and found him slightly shocked.

"I thought it was Princess... princess Calista Bravar Roxflood." He chuckled and she shrugged her shoulders replying back,

"If I can address you as Lee, you can too... so, it's Calista." She said munching a piece of seaweed dipped in green chilies. She loved the spicy foods.

"I prefer Cal." He announced and munched over the prawn. Calista's face flustered with a pink blush. Never had anyone called her so sweetly and somehow the name 'Cal' was sounding like a music to her ears. She just hummed in response. "Father agreed for the co-operation if everything is good." She said checking the data provided by him for the business of her interest.

"So, are you interested in me?" He asked. She snapped her head chocking over her food. He hauled up quickly and handed her some water patting her back softly. The hairs over her neck rose. His hands felt like wonder over her back under that thin fabric of her gown. What would it feel like over her n**e-self! Her thoughts went wild and ears turned red.

Leevon noticed her sudden change of expression and felt proud over the effect he had on her. She was really attracted to him the same way he was towards her.

"I am." She replied regaining her original self. That's it. Her words confirmed Leevon's guess and he took the opportunity to hold her hands. Excitement ran through her veins and something wet found its way in between her legs. It was a surprise how aroused she was merely holding his hands. Those gunmetal blue orbs darted at him for his courage; both of them soaked into each other.

The waiter arrived again for another order. Both of them retrieved their hands and continued over the food. While Calista announced that she wanted some space. The waiter left after a bow and refilling their cups.

Time went by and they discussed everything. Nothing suspicious was found, so Calista agreed for the business deal. Since King Faust had told her to be in charge, she was happy because she was going to see Leevon every now and then. This would be a great way. She thought.

The news travelled in King's ears. He had never left his daughter alone, how could he now.

"Princess Calista was spotted holding hands with Mr. Leevon Lexington in the restaurant, My Lord. They discussed business. But from their expressions, it seemed much more." The detective which king had hired to investigate Leevon reported the king after watching everything. He had been hiding himself in the same restaurant where Calista and Leevon had their breakfast.

"Enough.. Dismiss." The king raised his hand mid-air and the detective left immediately. Faust was worried. He knew that his daughter had a soft spot for everyone since her you her, but she wasn't this much excited for anyone. What was so interesting about this human!

"Looks like I have to talk to her." He muttered under his breath. He wasn't able to stop himself from worrying. Being with humans was the last thing he wanted for Calista. But she was insanely getting close to them.

He was just about to summon a guard to call her, when Mr. Callio, a minister of border security forces asked for permission, as he had something very urgent to report. The king noted his facial expressions; his old appearance gave off a haggard aura even more and he looked worried as hell. Something dangerous must have happened. The king allowed him inside.

"My Lord, the situation at the borders is very critical." As soon as Mr. Callio entered inside, he bowed shortly and reported hurriedly. His tone was off; scared, anxious and worried. It was enough for King Faust to judge what could have gone wrong. Still, he insisted to find it out in depth.

"Explain, Mr. Callio."

"My Lord, the shifters... they attacked our north border. They are going insane killing our vampire guards. It looks like someone is backing them up. The herbal ash that royal monk had given us 40 years ago isn't even working on them. They... they crossed the borders and are now near the Mangtu village. If not stopped immediately, they .. they would kill every vampire including the other creatures. We.. we are helpless My Lord. Please do something." Mr. Callio reported everything briefly. He was so anxious to report the details.

"How could that be possible? The herbal ash was meant to control oy those shifters from West kingdom. They can't cross the borders." The king Asked being surprised.

"Forgiveness my Lord, but.. they aren't the shifters from West kingdom." Mr. Callio said shaking with fear because what he was going to tell further could end up his life.

"Then...!" Faust raised his eyebrows, with red lavatic vampire eyes.

"They.. they are the hybrid shifters from the FIFTH LAKE kingdom."

"Impossible." Faust yelled in the loudest possible tone shaking off his arms, his arm rest broken in the process and shattered over the floor in several of pieces. The guards over the door were fear-studded.

"How could they? Did they forget that we had signed a treaty of peace with them for the coming 500 years?" The king was already on his toes. This situation needed to be tackled soon, if he wanted to save his people, his subordinates and his home.

"We sent a letter reminding them the treaty, but they new appointed king said.... "This stupid treaty was signed by my grandfather. It ended with his death. I am the ruler, I will decide what to do and what not."" Mr. Callio forwarded the letter that was sent to the shifters' new king. He found it studded with blood; Vampire blood.

"Fine. If he wants war... then I, FAUST BRAVER ROXFLOOD, will give him war." The king announced looking at the sky freeing his shining sword from its metal scabbard. There was a thunderbolt in the day sky letting everyone know that a war was coming over them. Herbew quickly closed his books he had been reading and moved towards the king's room, while Calista woke up from her sleep. Witnessing his father with his shining sword raised above his head towards the sky, Herbew didn't bother to ask for permission and entered inside enquiring,

"Which border, father? And who?"

"North border. Mangtu village. The FIFTH LAKE kingdom shifters." The king replied. Both father-son acted as if they were talking in gestures.

"But as far as I remember, we had a peace treaty then..." Herbew didn't get to finish his words when the king cut him amidst.

".. They nullified it. The new king wants blood shed."

"If that's the case, I will personally behead him." Herbew said. His eyes turned to blood red, emitting death and fangs appeared immediately. The king was worried for his people, but at the same time he would let his son join in the war. At least not before producing an heir to look after the kingdom. Moreover, Calista would be alone too. He ordered,

"I myself will go there since I was the one who signed that treaty. Let me see who this new puppy is, so daring to annoy us. You stay here, look after the kingdom and Calista."

"But father, I ..."

"Its an order." King said glaring towards him. Herbew lowered his head and nodded.

"I announce you the king of ROXFLOOD kingdom. In my absence, you will rule according to our royal laws and everyone is bound to listen to you." He passed a decree and turned to Mr. Callio.

"Prepare to leave." The later nodded and left for arranging the things.

Although Faust was leaving, but he knew that the kingdom's matter were of much more concern than his daughter's indulgence with that human.
