-SIESTA VALLEY-

"Trevor, have you anyhow succeeded in connecting with Timothy? It's been almost more than 12 hours since he left the Valley and we haven't heard of him yet! And where is that Nexus again?" Dankein asked with a strong commanding tone. Trevor was granted two days off, but after all this mess cleared. "No, My Lord. We haven't heard anything in this context. And about Nexus, he was last seen entering the Dawn Mountains with Timothy approximately an hour ago. But we don't know their exact location now." Trevor reported with a bow.

"Why?" Dankein questioned again caressing the furry creature in his lap, and Alfie just purred under his snuggling touch curling itself more into him and tucking its tails underneath its abdomen. Everyone in the room, the guards, the dream-catcher who established the connection along with Trevor looked at Dankein and the creature with narrowed eyes and fear in their hearts. One wrong answer and they were done for.

"It seems that Dawn Mountains have some strange kind of barriers which I couldn't break through, Your Highness." The dream-catcher murmured from behind Trevor with a shaking voice and staggering steps while he stepped ahead a little to make him audible enough.

Dankein scrunched his eyebrows and looked outside the window to spot that gloomy weather in the valley,

"I hope he won't do something that would put me in a compromising position with the wolves." His words were clear, but inaudible to anyone.

"Oh. My. Holy. Cow..! Are you awake? Can you see me? Do you know who I am? How many fingers are these? Scarf, can you tell me your name? Which university do you go to? And what do your parents do? What..!"

"Shut the crap out." Evangelica was going insane since the moment she heard that her dearest friend Scarlet was out of that dreary state of unconsciousness and was lingering around her for the past thirty minutes asking all sorts of stupid questions, pissing Emerald to the extreme, who just barked at her sensing his girl getting annoyed with this.

"You... don't talk to me like that. I haven't approved you of being her boyfriend yet. Get this in that pea-sized brain of yours!" Eva roared back at Emerald who just clenched his fists and glared at his brother Sammer; the latter being already cornered. Poor thing! Already giving Emerald, 'I- am - hopelessly- helpless' look, and 'Don't expect - anything' expressions. Scarlet hit the back of Eva's hand,

"You... don't say it like that. And I recognize you, and those fingers you just showcased. I was just sleeping, not vegetative that you are behaving like a shithead of a person. I..."

"Language..." Emerald again interfered, but this time with Scarlet when she cursed and used bad words adding,

"You are not supposed to say that aloud in the Castle."

"Ha, Ha, Ha... as if the almighty king, The Emerald-Lord Of Life- Azure, will get us beheaded for this sin." Eva mocked and laughed at her own words while ignoring the signs Sammer had been sending her to stay silent and keep that non-stop bickering of hers to herself.

"Listen you girl, disrespect me one more time, and I will show you, what I am exactly!" Emerald approached with hasty steps and held Eva from her ear dragging her towards Sammy ordering, "Handle this non-stop bicker of a Chatter-box."

"What? You..you cursed me, you shithe..." Her last curse word stayed in her throat and she gulped a loud ball of Saliva when Emerald glared at her with Golden yellow eyes taking her off guard. "Good." He said and sat close to Scarlet caressing her hairs, inspecting her body of any wounds and aftereffects. While Eva was stunned and implored looking at Sammer with stuttering tongue,

"Did...did her just change...his eye color? You...Sam, did you see it?" Sam held her shaking figure and calmed her, dragging her out of the room towards the empty garden area. It was the time to tell her everything. While leaving, he cleared his throat to get attention from his brother,

"You just made it way too harder for me, brother." He said to Emerald using the mind-link, while the latter just sneered,

"F**k off..." And continued hugging Scarlet as his life depended on her. ~DAWN MOUNTAINS~

"So, we were talking about you being weak, Empress." Timothy aka Silvan rubbed his palms wiggling his eyebrows, while the old Empress was exhausted and crouching over the floor, but her eyes never left the sight of Silvan's deriding face and still radiated that royal aura.

"I must admit that you are a great opponent. And now I remembered, it was you that night who protected that wolf and the girl..., was supposed to kill. It was you..." Silvan poked towards her sitting silhouette, while the lady kept on darting her eyes at him, finding an opportunity to take him off guard. But in her mind, she was aware that it wasn't going to happen anytime soon. It wasn't possible right now.

"Go ahead, and kill me already," Lady said determinedly.

"A...A...A...A..., Not so soon, Empress. You, want me to kill you, and then what? Get killed by your wolves and your children! You see, Empress...it was so hard for me to get a hold of this pathetic human Timothy. I spent almost days in those dark rooms. I am not in a mood to go through that again." Silvan took rounds of her crouching figure and kept on chanting his words, stopping occasionally, and giving the best of his expressions.

"Then what do you want? I told you I don't know exactly what you want from me!" Grand Empress was not acting. As the 'Mate Mark' diluted in her skin, she forgot everything she discovered from The Heavenly Book, but her memories of her late husband were still intact sealed in a corner of her brain that Silvan couldn't get to.

"Let's have a deal. Shall we?" Silvan sneered, mocked, and waited for the old lady to respond.

"As you said nothing, so...I take it as a yes. Here's the deal. I will not harm you, kill you, or do anything with you...considering that you are an old lady, but not too old to die of any disease; and not to mention a royal Werewolf Empress, Your Highness. (He bowed down out of joke). So, I will hold you captive unless I get what I...or precisely, what my master desire...! How's the proposal, Your Highness!?"

The old Empress was silent, not saying even a single word. She had calculated all the things well, and right now saying any words would mean that it could be used against her in the future. She couldn't afford any risks. All she needed to do was stay calm and agree to whatever that maniac suggested.

"Well, I think I am going to bear with that silent treatment of yours for a long time." Looking outside the window, Silvan Called in Nexus. The latter got shocked registering the condition of the grand Empress.

"Nexus..!" Calling him boringly, Silvan gestured him with his two fingers to look ahead and the latter just nodded.

"You...create an illusion for the wolves outside. We are taking the Empress along with us...as a guest." Silvan added when Nexus scrunched his dark aura eyebrows together contemplating the hidden meaning of the words 'as-a-guest.

"You must ride the horse. Say Goodbye to most of your luxuries, Milady." Silvan held the Empress and she let him drag her body to make it look convincing, while her mind was already relaxed finding that Carol had already escaped successfully with 'Mate crystal' from the Dawn Mountains, While The Heavenly Book disappear into the air.

Emerald was adoring the sleeping beauty when a loud knock over the door caught his attention. He let it pass, thinking it could be Sammer or Eva to infuriate him again. But the banging sound kept on getting louder and the snuggling Scarlet had been irritated. "What the hell? Who has a death wish this early in the morning?" Emerald barked out and opened the door, only to find Jack standing there pale and anxious. Being so pissed, Emerald failed to notice his disturbing expressions, and lashed out, "Jack do you want me to behead you? Your Luna is still sleeping and you are banging on my door like a maniac? What's so pressing that it can't wait even for an hour?"

Jack mustered up his courage, and bowed lightly,

"Apologies, Alpha. But we found a body in the Azure clan Stream."

"Seriously Jack! Is this something that you are here for, irritating me and your Luna? You know the codes. You take that body out, get the person treated and I will be there after an hour." Emerald stepped into the room, and was just about to lock it when he heard Jack saying,

"That body is no other than Miss Carol from The Castle of Dawn Mountains, Alpha."
