"Who is coming over? Did you invite someone? Lord, I didn't know you already made friends in the Human World. That's more like you...always on the safe side." Nexus filled the glass with red wine and was about to hand it over to Silvan when they heard the knock over that time door of the house. "Check it, and bring him in," Silvan said sitting over his comfy spot holding the wine glass and inhaling its scent with closed eyes.

"You...!" Nexus was heard shouting loud in the hall by Silvan and he just chuckled and shaped his head. The visitor stepped in eyeing Nexus from bead to toe with one raised eyebrow before his gaze stuck over her boobs and then averted to the hall once he found a familiar scent around him.

"Oh, welcome... Professor. How are you doing? I must say it's a nice surprise having you here...when we just happened to land in this lavish house. Come on, join me." Silvan welcomed the visitor warmly and showed him the way to those maroon couches and the visitor occupied one of them instantly throwing his backpack over the other couch.

"Professor! Seriously?" Nexus asked suspiciously to which both the men nodded and sipped their respective wine, while Nexus just sighed non-believingly. "I will share this lavish house with you guys for a while. I know you won't mind me, would you, Lady Nexus?" The visitor narrowed his eyes and asked with dark humor. Nexus looked at Silvan who was trying to suppress his laughter and wanted to kill the visitor for addressing him as a lady, but it was the truth.

Nexus shook her head as a no and plastered a warm smile over her face. Before she was about to exit and retire for bed, she heard the visitor suggesting,

"Mr. Nexus, you are no longer a Mr. Now. You are a Miss. So, dress up properly if you don't want all the men to stare at those..." He pointed his wine glass at her boobs and found her retreating to her room with a grumpy face. The men smiled and got engaged in a conversation.

~WEREALM-

"It's been so many days already. Are you able to wake her up?" Emerald had been tired of waiting for Carol to be awake. He was anxious for his grandmother. The King and Queen weren't better either. Mr. Morson sweated hard and shook his head as a no, pissing Emerald even more. Just when he was about to tell again, they heard a faint voice of a woman.

Paying close attention to the voice, Mr. Morson beamed in happiness and started repeating the words, "She is awake, she is awake, she is awake, she is awake...finally. Miss Carol is awake, Alpha. She is awake..." His happiness had no leaps because his life depended on it. Emerald gestured him to check on her and he reported that she was fine and out of danger.

"Mr. Morson, it was for grandma. I never wanted to pressurize you. You can go and have some rest. I want to talk to Miss Carol, alone. And don't tell anybody about this yet." The healer just nodded and flew away from the room as soon as he could. Taking slow steps, Emerald approached Carol who was looking at him with groggy eyes as if trying to recognize him.

"How are you aunty Carol? Do you feel any pains?" The lady just smiled finding him caring for her health at this moment even after she assumed him to be going through a lot. She remembered handing over the necklace to Scarlet and since the girl wasn't around yet, she concluded that Scarlet had left for home.

Nodding with her blinking eyes, Carol tried to get up when Emerald gestured her not to and was about to question her it was interrupted by Carol,

"How is Grand Empress? Is she fine?" Emerald narrowed his eyes and sighed heavily. Carol tried to read his expressions and got something in her mind, but she wasn't sure of it. The shocking news was revealed to her when Emerald said that the Grand Empress had been missing from the mountain house and all the soldiers were unconscious, but they still don't remember what happened.

"We heard some noises outside the room. I was with Lady that night. It was raining and the weather was gloomy. But it appeared that someone attacked the house. There were so many screams and cries. We thought the soldiers were killed......I should...never have left her alone..." Carol said sobbing. Emerald patted her shoulder,

"Do you know who might have attacked the house? Have you seen anyone?" Carol made a thinking face and lived the flashback once again,

"I heard him say that they were someone called 'Dark Souls'. He said we needed to leave the house, but the lady didn't agree. She insisted on staying and ordered me to go and find you or anyone from the family...but it's too late...... ...." Carol broke out sobbing hard. Emerald hugged her softly rubbing her back,

"It's not your fault aunty Carol. Also, you were just following orders." He reflected her words and enquired, "But how did you end up in the Azure clan river?"

Reminiscing the memories of that night, Carol briefed him on everything. Emerald was listening to her words when he felt something strange and stopped her questioning,

"Aunt Carol, you said 'he' asked you to leave the house. And he told you that the attackers could be Dark souls, right?" The lady nodded, not understanding what Emerald was trying to figure out. "Who was he? Was he some soldier or any guard? Do you know him? Perhaps he knows something about Grandma's whereabouts...!"

Carol was left astounded. The whole time, she was so engrossed in telling Emerald what happened that she almost forgot about the part when she accidentally told him about the late Emperor without telling him. And now, when he was questioning her, she couldn't possibly lie about that. Mustering up her strength, she looked straight into his eyes confessing,

"Yes, I saw him. I met him. He is none other than the Late Emperor." ~LOZENGE HOUSE-

"You think she would ever find out about us? About her parents?" Mr. Lozenge asked his wife who had been busy cleaning the dishes after a good dinner; of course, everything was Scarlet's favorite. She looked at her husband and shushed him peeking here and there afraid of being overheard by anyone, especially Scarlet.

"Keep it down. You don't want her to feel like we have been lying to her all her life. We are her parents, she is my daughter, and I love her the most. I don't care about anything else." Mrs. Lozenge added all these words as a whisper to which Mr. Lozenge agreed and enquired,

"What if...she found out? What are we going to tell her then? We can't let her know about her birth parents. That is horrible for everyone."

"I know. But she will never find out. She is our daughter and we love her. Besides, now she has Emerald too. He loves our daughter so much and he would do anything to protect her. We should not worry about these useless things." Mrs. Lozenge said wrapping up her pitches chores and turning off the lights.

The couple headed towards their room with Mr. Lozenge following Mrs. Lozenge murmuring,

"I am worried about her being involved with Emerald."

Upstairs, Scarlet had been sleeping soundly. These past few days had been life-changing for her. She didn't get much time to sleep and rest. But she was tossing and turning over her bed like she was in a nightmare. Her palms had been sweaty and she was moving her legs as if trying to kick someone.

Before anyone could notice, Scarlet opened her eyes; glowing in purple color with fury written all over her face. Her look carried dominance and her hair turned purple. The glow that was just coming out of her eyes was now oozing out of every pore making her look like a purple goddess.

The girl kept staring at the ceiling for a while before the phone started ringing and everything returned to normal as if nothing happened.

-DESTINY LAND~

"Sister, did you see that? Scarlet was all purple. Does that mean...!" Choice looked at her sister hoping for the answer she was having difficulty finding out right now. Destiny just nodded announcing,

"RAGNARA...I hope that doesn't mess up anything. Things aren't going to get smoother in the coming future, Choice." Both the sisters watched Scarlet sleep soundly after having the phonic conversation, while Destiny was the one who was worried to the core.
