"Aunty Carol, are you aware of what you just said? If anyone hears you say these kinds of things, they will have a feeling that..."

"...that I have gone insane, I know. I know this Alpha. Hence, I am telling you. And I am not insane at all. I swear I have seen Emperor with my eyes. I talked to him, and watch him disappear. You must trust me, Alpha." Emerald was shocked listening to what Carol confessed about witnessing his late Grandfather, and was trying to calm her down when she interrupted him in the middle telling him firmly that she wasn't insane at all.

"I want to believe you, but..." Emerald was having a hard time dealing with the situation at hand. He thought that perhaps Carol was being delusional because of being in the cold water and under the effect of sedatives for too long. But Carol was adamant. He looked into her eyes and found nothing but the truth.

"But how is that even possible? Grandfather is long exiled from this world. How could he be?..." Emerald murmured as if talking to his being when he found Carol patting his shoulder warmly blinking her eyes as a gesture that she would tell him everything. He had already deciphered that there was much more to the situation than it appeared. Maybe Carol now decided to tell him everything.

"Alpha, what I am telling you is very confidential and Empress told me to not say it to anyone, not even you. But now...when she is nowhere to be found, I don't feel like hiding the truth anymore. Listen to me carefully, and then maybe you could decide what to do and where to look for Empress." Carol said those words to let Emerald get prepared for what was coming next and he just nodded assuring her. Having a long breath, Carol started,

"This dates to almost one month when it started. The lady was terribly upset that day, and she was looking for something. Helping her, I found that she was looking for an old; an incredibly old book that had been passed on to Late Emperor by your ancestors. It is called 'The Heavenly Book'. The Book was magical, Alpha. I could never see anything in this. It was all blank, but the lady used to spend days reading something into it.

Every time she stepped out of her room, she was even more worried than earlier. I tried to figure it out so many times, but she never told me anything. All she said was...she was doing it for you. She was going through something horrible.

She was terribly upset that night. I talked to her, I asked her what was bothering her, but she said that she wanted to rest, and she missed Late Emperor the most. She then starters blabbering something like...he isn't visiting me, I am worried for him. I didn't understand what it was.

Suddenly, she hauled up from the chair and beamed happily. She started talking to someone, but I could see nobody. It was just air. I thought she was...she was losing her mind, but then she dragged me inside with her and secured the lock. Alpha, you won't believe it...but it was Emperor. He was there. The lady was talking to him. I didn't believe her, I cried and begged her to let me help her, call the royal healers, but then I saw Late Emperor standing behind her smiling warmly. He wasn't a bit old from the day he passed away. I... I...I don't know how to explain it, but I saw him, I talked to him. He...was there." Carol kept on repeating the last words like a mad person afraid that Emerald would never believe her.

Emerald used his powers and touched her hand. He closed his eyes and lived the exact moment she just described only to take his hand away in a swoosh....horrified paled and shocked. It was the truth. His grandfather was there. He couldn't listen to what they had been talking about due to Carol's vulnerable state. To get into the depth, he gestured for Carol to continue holding her hands tightly.

Carol composed herself and hope flashed in her eyes. Taking a long pause, she continued,

"The Emperor told something disturbing to Empress. I don't know what it was because I was so frightened watching him there...I was glued to a corner. But then...lady started crying very badly because Emperor told her that he was running out of time and he had to go back. I...suggested them to...hurry. Since the noises outside were getting louder, so...the Emperor bid farewell to Lady. She was so disturbed and shattered after that.

Alpha, she...she made me safe. She ordered me to leave the Castle house and find you. She told me to tell this to Scarlet, but...that poor girl had already suffered so much... I...I didn't want to worry her. I am telling you...it has something to do with the book because it threatened My Lady."

Emerald was simplified listening to Carol. "What? The book...! How can a book threaten someone?" He was still not sure about Carol's words. Carol investigated his disturbed expressions,

"The book displayed a message after Lady was done reading it."

"What message? Aunty Carol, you need to tell me everything. It will help me find Grandma. Please, what was the message?" Emerald was getting impatient. All the things told by Carol had been making him go insane.

"It said..."Your end is near, My Lady." As soon as Carol said those words, Emerald lost his control and his eyes turned golden. His wolf was taking over his human form and Carol noticed it. She had never seen Emerald shift, but she was cognizant of his abilities. Not wanting any moment, Carol suggested,

"Alpha, I think all the answers are there in the book. You need to find it." Emerald regained some senses and calmed his racing heart. Finally, he was close to finding his Grandma. "Where is it?" He asked bluntly.

"I... it was in the castle back then. The book is a huge one and has a very strange-looking cover with nothing written over it. There are some splashes of blood over the book and an extraordinarily unique dagger is tucked in its cover with some dried flower petals glued to its handle. This will help you find it." Carol summarized the cover of the book for him.

Emerald hauled up and looked at her with thankful eyes.

"I don't know what happened and what you said doesn't make any sense. But I will investigate it for sure. Thank you, aunty, Carol. Now you must rest, and don't disclose anything to anyone unless I tell you to." Carol nodded and he helped her out over the blanket. While Emerald was about to step out of the room, Carol called him from behind,

"Alpha, Protect Scarlet. This is what Empress wanted me to tell you. You must protect her. She is in danger." Emerald nodded and stepped out. Taking omg strides, he entered his office and called for Jack.

-XYZ UNIVERSITY, RIVERSTONE TOWN-

"Are you still not talking to Sammer? It's been many days now. You should not give him a hard time." Scarlet suggested Eva, who was pissed off at Sammer for not telling her about him being a werewolf in the first place. She was insanely frightened when he first shifted in front of her that she ran to save her life thinking that the animal would attack her. But he somehow convinced her. Since then, they have not been on talking terms.

"I am pissed. I don't want to talk to him. He hid his identity from me." Eva said chewing her sandwich taking an animal bite, and Scarlet made a disgusted face at this.

"But he just wanted to protect you, Eva. He loves you. I have seen it in his eyes. And I know that you love him too. Why are you behaving like a kid, then? You should reconcile, according to me." Scarlet said sipping her strawberry juice and licking her lips. "Are you for real? You are siding with him, you bitch. He should say sorry to me, buy me presents and take me shopping. Only then I will think of forgiving him." Eva said wiggling her eyebrows focusing on the food.

"That means you don't love him. It's alright, I will tell Sammer to find someone else. You have seen in the werewolf world that how many ladies drool over him. I am sure he will find someone as good as you." Scarlet teased Eva pressing over the words of Sammer finding someone else.

Eva slammed her hands hard over the table making the strawberry juice and the leftover food dance in the air spilling everything,

"Don't you dare, bitch. I will create problems with your sweet Alpha. I love Sam, okay. I just want him to spoil me." Scarlet smiled softly and then loudly holding her stomach,

"You sure are something, Drama queen." And both the ladies joined in that laughter when they heard a commotion. All the girls present there started running in a particular direction.

"Why are they running like a bee swarm? What happened?" Eva asked Scarlet, who just shrugged her shoulders picking up the crumbs of the sandwich and putting it on the plate. It wasn't wearable anymore after Eva's raged stunt.

"Hey, what happened? Where are you going?" Eva asked one of the girls stopping her by her wrist. The girl looked at Eva and Scarlet as if they were aliens swinging her arm in the air saying,

"There is a hot, sexy, handsome professor in the university. Everyone is going to see him. Join in." and she flew away. Eva glanced at Scarlet who had already been darting suspicious gazes at her, and gave her a pleading look, joining her hands,

"Let's go. Please. I want to see him too. He is sexy...the girl told. I saw Jenny running too. Come on, Scarf..." Before Scarlet could protest, she was being dragged by Eva towards the English department where this handsome professor was rumored to be found. Standing in that crowd, she too peeked standing over her toes, and saw a man as tall as a tower, with radiating skin as if he was a God. Just when she was about to look away, his eyes landed over her and darted into her eye-balls. She felt disturbed and some flashes crossed her mind making her feel like she had seen him somewhere.

The man walked in her direction tearing apart the crowd when the head teacher dismissed every student from there. Just Eva and Scarlet we're there. Eva, drooling and Scarlet in deep thoughts, when the man forwarded a Jan and introduced his name, "Hello, little girl! I am Professor Dankein Cosh."
