Chapter 18

DRAKE'S

POV

I know, I messed up everything that I have been trying to build especially our relationship with each other because Yunifer's first impression of me wasn't good and I admit that I'm such an a*****e back then and maybe still I am right now. However, I've been trying hard to change for her.

I worked hard to lighten up our relationship every single day as if I was polishing a gem but because of my words, I ended up breaking the gem that I worked hard to polish.

I let out a mocking laugh as I shook my head.

"D-Drake... t-thank you for saving me..."

When I looked at Samantha, pure disgust couldn't be hidden in my eyes. I coldly looked at her and snickered.

"I didn't save you." I didn't say anything other than those words and didn't explain further not because I feared Samantha's family who was her backer but rather because I feared that they might gonna do something to Yunifer.

In the end, I restrained the urge to yell at this woman, and instead, I turned around and left, leaving behind Samantha who kept on yelling my name.

I glanced at Lawrence and Ishid and the two of them had the tact of understanding, shaking their heads as they let out a helpless sigh.

"You messed up there, Drake." It was Lawrence who said while patting my shoulder as if to comfort me.

Ishid also nodded his head. "Yeah, Yunifer was hurt earlier. I wanted to run over to her and comfort her but my wolf stopped me saying that I should start learning to know the atmosphere of the room. Anyway, he said that it would be best to let Yunifer leave alone for now especially since she seemed to be angry at us. It would not be good if we added fuel to the fire."

Drake and Lawrence heavily nodded. "Yeah..."

After a while, I glanced at the two whose shoulders were down and pursed their lips. I couldn't help but make a suggestion.

"Should we get on our knees and beg for her forgiveness?" I said seriously and calmly.

Hearing this, they both raised their head as their eyes twinkled in delight.

"That's a great idea!

YUNIFER'S POV

Wiping the tears away from my cheeks while walking from the street alone as usual. It was already late in the afternoon and I'm going back home after attending the class despite having a heavy heart.

I don't know why I suddenly have a bad feeling. It feels like a grim reaper was waiting for me at the end of the street.

The street lights were flickering just like those in horror movies. The wind strangely felt the breeze and the night was rather chilly.

I uneasily roamed my eyes around the street and didn't relax my vigilance not even for a second, afraid that I might get targeted.

I don't know why but I felt a pair of eyes, carefully watching every one of my movements from afar and following me behind which made me goosebumps. It was too creepy.

I couldn't go back to my apartment right now for fear that these stalkers would follow me back home and would know my address. It would be a bad thing especially since I have a brother. Although my brother is a wolf, compared to an adult, my brother felt helpless especially since he is still a cub.

I can't let something happen to him.

Even though the way into my apartment was to the right side, I took the opposite path to lead these stalkers away.

However, I have been walking around for almost an hour which made my legs almost go numb. I took a deep breath and was about to call them to come out and meet me when suddenly I felt a sharp dagger run straight into my eyes.

Before it could reach my eyes, I dodged it with fast reflexes. When I felt someone's presence behind me, I swiftly moved to the other side, grabbing the arms of the person who tried to chop my nape and mercilessly broke it which leads for him to screaming from the pain.

I didn't let him get the chance to stand up and start beating the s**t out of him. After beating him, my complexion started to sparkle and my mood was glowing especially after I finished venting.

I was smiling as I glanced at the two people-or should I say, wolves whose eyes widened upon seeing me wildly beat their companion to the point that its face was hardly recognized and it seemed that half of his bones were broken to the point that he passed out. The two wolves were slightly hesitant to make a move especially after seeing how cruel I was.

"Why are you not moving? Come and fight me. You three are in a great time especially since I've been trying to find someone with whom I can vent my emotions. You're lucky." I said while smiling at them from ear to ear, only to straighten as their faces were filled with fear.

They shook their heads and surrendered in fear. "N-No...no... we don't want to fight you, big sister. We were wrong! We won't mess with you! Please let us go!"

I snickered and slowly walked in their direction, only to see them stiffened as if they were afraid that I might do the same thing to them as I what id to their companion.

"Who ordered you to capture me?" I softly asked but my eyes were sharply looking at them.

They pursed their lips and were hesitant to speak but after seeing my smile, they immediately blurted the name.

"It was Samantha! She paid a large sum of money to capture you and even ask us to r*pe you!" They shouted while closing their eyes.

I raised my head as I looked at them viscously. "R*pe me?"

Hearing this, they were petrified and immediately shook their heads and started to explain.

"No, no! It wasn't what you were thinking!" They hastily said.

"Oho, then explain," I said with a smile as I showed them my fist which made them shiver.

For sure that they already regarded me as a demon in their heart but anyway it doesn't matter. It was their fault for trying to mess with me.

But who would have thought that b***h named Samantha would even go to such lengths to pay such a large sum of money just to capture me and to taint my dignity. I really can't believe that she would end up resorting to a method like this to take me down and embarrass me.

I suddenly have the urge to slap her.

The grayish wolf quivered as he started to explain.

"A-Actually we three were thugs in the street but of course other than fighting with others, we haven't done anything especially about raping someone! We have our dignity too and we don't resort to that kind of thing! It was just we were blinded by Samantha's money since she paid us a lot of money just to capture you so we accepted the deal. Who would have thought that she said that we needed to take you to an alley and then r*pe you! But of course, we were not planning to do that! We just plan to capture you then make you unconscious then leave you in the dark alley not including raping you since at first, it wasn't in the deal that we made with Samantha. Although we are thugs, we aren't some lecherous perverted wolves who can't restrain themselves!" He spoke with solemnity while the other one also nodded his head, agreeing to his words while looking at me with those sincere eyes.

After hearing their explanation, I heaved out a sigh and waved my hands at them while massaging my temples. "Fine, fine. You can go now. I apologize that I beat your companion to a pulp. It was just my reflexes."

The two of them shook their head. "No, no, it's fine. Besides, we understand that you were just trying to protect yourself and there's nothing wrong with that. Instead, we should be the ones who should apologize especially since we were trying to harm you." I nodded my head and sighed helplessly. "It's fine. You should start changing yourselves from now on."

After I said that, I turned around and started walking.

"Fool!" I heard someone say behind me as a dagger was about to stab my back.

I already see it coming which was why from the moment that I turned my back, I was already guarding myself, not even relaxing my guard which was why it was easy for me to dodge their attack because I have already seen it coming.

I grabbed the hand that was holding the dagger and twisted it then I swiftly faced him and raised my legs to kick him. I coldly watched him fly a few meters away from me as his body slammed into the floor, leading him to grunt from the pain.

I looked at the other wolf who was looking at me with horror. "H-How did you find out?"

I smirked. "Although your expression and acting were on point, you can't deceive the eyes of a liar. Besides, my eyes had seen much oscar winning acting like you two did. It was not a surprise to me especially after hearing that Samantha paid you a large sum of money. You three must be famous for doing this kind of dirty thing, right?"

The wolf nervously laugh as he raised his hand to attack me but I managed to dodge it to the left side and punched him in the face.

"But I want to give you two applause. You two almost fooled me." I said as I jumped and turned around, exerting strength in my knees and striking hard at the opponent's neck not letting him take advantage to hurt me.

I could hear the creaking sound when I kicked his neck and when I looked down, I watched him slowly fall on the floor as his eyes turned white.

I couldn't help but doubt it. Is this what Samantha hired? They are not even that powerful enough to capture me although they deserve an award for their acting but other than that, they can't beat me at all.

I let out a chuckle as I calmly walked towards the man that was playing dead after I kicked him in his stomach earlier.

I saw him stiffen as his eyelid was trembling especially after sensing that I stopped in front of him. He might be afraid that I would kill him next.

But I'm not that heartless. I didn't kill anyone. Although I don't kill my opponent, I would make them disabled for the rest of their lives.

It was as if he had seen something frightening, the man opened his eyes and hoarsely begged with tears and snot on his face. "F-Forgive me..."

I smiled sweetly at him as I slowly raised my legs. "R*pe huh."

After I said that, I didn't hesitate to smash the thing between his legs, making him scream from the pain as his eyes turned white.

I looked at the three of them with disappointment in my eyes. I wasn't even warmed up a bit yet they were already unconscious. But anyway, it doesn't matter since at the end of the way, it doesn't change the fact that I was able to vent my anger rather than keeping it in my heart.

Now that I managed to vent my anger, I felt refreshed and my whole body felt light as if the boulder that I carried in my shoulder was lifted.

Should I thank Samantha for sending these three oscar thugs?

Anyway, I wasn't in the mood to curse Samantha in my mind and was even humming when I was walking on the street.

However, I didn't even notice that there was someone who was watching the scene the whole time and couldn't help but shiver as they commented. "F*cking terrifying!"
