YUNIFER'S POV

My brows furrowed as I was left confused by what Sahara said after she fully fused my soul. I couldn't get what she meant about someone who was watching me and since she mentioned "they", there must be a lot of people-more maybe an enemy who was watching every one of my movements. But since Sahara warned me about this, that means that the enemy this time is stronger... or maybe much stronger than the Alpha King.

I don't get why she said those words, especially since once our soul would fuse completely, I would retain her memories since those memories are also my memories too. However, I don't know why but I suddenly had a bad feeling about this.

I forced myself to open my eyes and watched my surroundings. I found myself sitting in the same spot where I sat before and my head buried in my arms that was placed on the table.

I let out a heavy sigh and I happened to see the dishes that were in front of me.

"You're awake?"

When I raised my head, I saw Kale who was tilting his head while looking at me with confusion.

"Yeah, I am." Then I looked at my surroundings and found that Havoc wasn't there.

"Where's your mate?" I couldn't help but ask especially that the two of them were like glue-or should I say that Havoc was like glue who always sticks himself to Kale.

He is also a bit like a dog who always follows its owner like a tail. It's a bit surprising that Havoc wasn't with him, especially given his personality which can't leave Kale out of his sight.

Kale softly smiled and answered. "He's in the study. He had a lot of things to do especially him as an Alpha and he had been neglecting it because of me so I urge him to continue his work."

I nodded my head in understanding. I know what he was talking about since my mates are also Alphas too and they shouldered tons of responsibility. I sometimes help them even if it's just a little bit of my help.

"By the way, how long have I been sleeping?" I asked while looking at his gentle face of his.

Kale smiled and shook his head. "I just got here about five minutes or so since I was trying to find you."

"Oh? Is there any gossip that you want to talk about?" I asked without looking at him, rather my attention was on the food that was served in front of me.

"Ahh, actually I just want to ask if you're pregnant." He shyly said while looking at me with embarrassment and shyness.

I couldn't help but furrow. Didn't I already tell him that I couldn't get pregnant especially since my background is special and unique? I even explained to him earlier that I would either be sick or die if I would give birth. Besides, I can't get pregnant anymore because my grandma had cut off my bloodline so why is he asking this question again?

Although I was suspicious about him and was a little confused I remained calm and neutral on the outside. There were no traces of suspicion on my face when I talked to them.

After all, I felt that something is wrong here. My heart couldn't stop beating wildly and it was just that my instincts were telling me that something is definitely going on and that I shouldn't let my guard down easily.

Is this what Sahara said? That I should be careful because someone is watching me?

I raised my head and stared at 'Kale' who had the same aura and expression plastered on his face. If I was a fool, I would have easily been fooled that he was the real Kale.

This is terrifying.

"What are you staring at?" Kale asked while he was still smiling at me, making me goosebumps.

I shook my head and answered dejectedly. "I already told you earlier that my bloodline was cut off and I can't get pregnant anymore. Even if I wanted to build my own family and give birth to cute adorable children, I couldn't." I pursed my lips and acted more pitifully in front of him.

However, 'Kale' on the other hand looked like he was taken aback by my answer. It was as if he never knew about this information but in the end, he let out a soft sigh but there was still a smile hanging on his lips, making him look gentle and innocent just like the original Kale.

However, this person is fake. He isn't Kale and will never be.

I don't know what's this person's purpose is but I know that he's up to no good.

His purpose is mine.

'Kale' let out a heavy sigh as he softly comforted. "I'm sorry to hear that... actually, I can't still believe that you can't get pregnant and that your bloodline was cut off. I, too also wanted you cute children in the future, after all, I can't give birth to a child." I looked at him before I let out a heavy sigh too and nodded my head, indicating my understanding of his words.

"It's a pity. My mates are also eager to get me pregnant and have children but after they found out that I would die after giving birth, they immediately dispelled those ideas." I said while smiling.

What I said was the truth. After all, I also wanted to have a child too and besides, Asher kept on telling me that he wanted to have a niece to play with. Besides, it doesn't sound bad to give birth to my mate's children.

It seemed that my true emotions came out, which made me slightly taken back and let out a soft laugh.

'Kale' on the other hand, squinted his eyes but it only took a second before he regained back to his gentle appearance as he gently smiled at me.

"By the way, I haven't seen your mates. Where are they?" He softly asked while his eyes wandered around the surroundings as if he was trying to find the traces of my mates.

Hearing his question, my eyes slightly narrowed but in the end, I regained my composure and calm and normal in front of him, At least I won't be found out.

"My mates had something important to do and I was the one who asked them the favor to do so that's why they left early even though they were reluctant to leave me alone here." I vaguely said with a smile on my face without telling him about their location and what they were doing.

This man... is dangerous. I could feel that he was dangerous.

Besides, Sahara had warned me about this man. In other words, he is an enemy, and I shouldn't easily let my guard down, or else I would be stabbed in the back if I wasn't guarding myself tightly and securely.

I could feel his stare that seemed like it could burn a hole in my face but even if I would look at him, he still had the sweet smile plastered on his face which is a bit annoying.

I looked at him and found that his fingertips were lightly tapping the table which emits such sounds, especially in this silent dining hall.

I couldn't help but gulp down my nervousness and tried to calm my nerves especially since he seemed to be able to see through my acts.

"I know that you had already known that I'm not the Kale that you know." He suddenly said and this time, his voice changed.

From a gentle and soft voice to a deep and cold tone.

The gentle smile plastered on his face-the face of Kale that he was using, was dropped. He already dropped the act and he had this cold emotionless expression plastered on his face when he looked at me. I also dropped my act and coldly looked at him. "Who are you? What do you want from me?"

A cold smile appeared on 'Kale's' while smirking at me and suddenly before I could stand up and guard myself when a sharp dagger appeared in front of me as he stabbed it into me.

However, it may be because of my fast reflexes that I was able to dodge to the other side so that I won't get stabbed in the face with the dagger.

It just that even if I was able to dodge to the other side, the left side of my face was scratched by its sharp dagger.

I could feel a hot liquid dripping down on my face and it was stinging too.

Just when 'Kale' was about to raise his hand to stab it into my face again when suddenly, a familiar voice shouted my name.

"YUNIFER!" It was none other than the original Kale.

I looked to the other side and saw him rush towards my direction and his face was filled with horror.

Before I could open my mouth and shout at him to stop him from running in my direction, especially since 'Kale' was still in front of me, holding a sharp dagger, suddenly, the fake Kale disappeared like a bubble. Leaving the only two of us in the dining room.

Kale rushed in my direction and help me get up. His eyes were filled with worries while looking at me from up to down.

"Who was that? How did he be able to come in? Why does he look like me?" His voice suddenly quivered and his eyes reddened while looking at my cheeks.

The cheeks that had been wounded.

I helplessly sigh and shrugged my shoulder. "I don't know either. He suddenly appeared in front of me with the disguise of your face after I woke up."

Kale's brows furrowed. "How could that be? It's not like I have a twin or something!"

I shook my head. "It may not be only applied to that. I don't know how he managed to use your appearance but... we should let the Alphas know about this." Hearing this, Kale solemnly nodded.
