Quintin didn’t know why Joey was suddenly in a bad mood.

He touched the tip of his nose and looked at the costume he was wearing.

He thought Joey would be delighted to see it, but it seemed he was wrong.

Quint shrugged.

He walked toward Rachel in his slightly burdensome costume.

It’s been only two months, but you look like you lost so much weight.”

The passersby couldn’t help but take a second look at Quintin as they passed.

She cleared her throat and said, “Change your clothes first.”

He was hurrying to call Carson and ask about his father, and he didn’t notice the look on Rachel’s face behind him.

Joey had no idea Rachel knew what he planned to do and just didn’t point it out.

Joey called Carson, but no one answered.

Joey tried calling again, but Carson didn’t pick up.

He was about to try the third time when he heard Quintin’s voice.

“Joey, are you waiting for me?” Quintin had already changed into casual clothes.

Joey didn’t want Quintin to catch him red-handed and tell his mother.

Rachel hated Victor.

If she knew Joey cared about his father so much and had connections with him, it would only make her hate Victor more.

It was not worth it.
