Captivation: Want Nothing But You -
Chapter 1513
However, Quintin reached for his arm and stopped him.
“Why are you leaving in such a hurry? We haven’t seen each other for such a long time.
Don’t you want to catch up on some things with me? Your mommy told me that you’ll show me around Apliaria these days.”
A subtle indication of a frown drew on Joey’s face.
It was so minute that his countenance still sported a lovely and obedient look.
“Yes, I’ll show you around,” Joey said.
“But it’s been a long journey.
Aren’t you tired? I’ll talk to you when you wake up.”
Quintin was not a fool.
Although he didn’t know Joey as well as
Rachel did, he could tell that Joey was on to something.
There was a shift in Joey’s attitude after they came back from the airport.
It wasn’t that discreet; everyone could feel it.
Quintin arched his eyebrows and closed the door.
The clicking sound that disturbed the silence between them indicated that the door was locked.
“It’s okay.
You can talk to me now.” Aside from finding a way to bring Joey back to the Red Hackers headquarters, Quintin also needed to keep a close eye on him.
He couldn’t afford to let the boy stir any trouble before they left.
Joey could only watch as his only exit barred him inside the room.

He gritted his teeth as his eyes widened.
He wanted to say something but swallowed it back.
He took a deep breath to pacify his simmering exasperation.
He couldn’t get angry at this moment.
If Quintin insisted on having a chat, then it was doable.
Besides, it might not be that obvious, but it was clear Quintin was exhausted from the journey.
That meant he wouldn’t keep the conversation long.
Maybe he would even fall asleep in less than an hour.
By that time, Joey would have the chance to sneak out to see his father.
Considering this, Joey turned around and sat on the sofa.
He folded his arms over his chest and crossed his legs.
He gazed at Quintin and said, “Okay, let’s talk.”
It didn’t look like Joey wanted to talk.
He was looking at Quintin as if he wanted to cut him into pieces.
Quintin brought his hand to touch his neck, suddenly feeling a sharp pain in his temples.
Keeping an eye on one child alone was harder than accomplishing a level-S task.
“Ahem…” Quintin cleared his throat and stepped forward.
But before he could get close, Joey raised his hand, beckoning him to sit on the edge of the bed.
“You can just sit there.
It’s better to keep a considerable distance between us.”
Quintin shifted his direction and glanced at the bed before flopping himself down.
“Alright.”
After that, the room fell into silence.
