“Nobody is going to call anyone.”

“Whatever! The short-haired woman felt somewhat frustrated.

Her phone was now with Bryan and he held onto it very tightly.

In a feat of anger, she kicked him in the shin.

“Ouch!” Bryan screamed in pain.

He bent down on impulse and touched his leg.

The woman seized the opportunity to take back her phone.

After that, she went into the apartment again.

Alice was still lying on the floor motionlessly.

It was indeed Alice’s blood.

It didn’t flow out from her chest, though; it was from the Little finger of her right hand, which was gone.

She could still see it dripping from it.

The short-haired woman carefully placed her finger near Alice’s nose.

It was warm to the touch.

Alice was still alive.

Maybe she fainted because of the sharp pain.

Without further ado, the woman took out her phone and called an ambulance.

When Bryan overheard her conversation with a paramedic, he heaved a sigh of relief.

After that, he turned to Rachel and said smilingly,

“I know you are not that kind of person.”

Rachel took out a tissue from her pocket and wiped the blood off the back of her hand.

Then she asked, “What kind of person?”

The question was quite unexpected.

Bryan didn’t know what to say.

While he was still at it, Rachel left the building the same way she came.

He followed her closely.

“You are not the kind of murderer who disregards her family.”

As soon as they got to the main road, Rachel stopped.

She took out her phone from her pocket, clicked on an application, and downloaded a recording.

“You are wrong,” she said emphatically, before sending a voice message.

“I just don’t want my own hands to get dirty.”

In a split second, the message was delivered successfully.

Immediately, the look in her eyes changed.

Her face darkened.

Finally, she deleted everything pertaining to what she just sent.

Out of the corner of his eye, Bryan caught a glimpse of the receiver of the deleted message.

It was the police.
