Chapter 45

No One’s POV

“Thank you for…”,

“I don’t want to hear thank you from you, sweetheart, again.”, Zayden interrupted Grace in between. It was not a big deal for him and he had promised himself to give all the happiness of the world to her and wiped out all her tensions and problems.

He then talked about how boring his day was while driving. He even appreciated the cake she made while Grace shared how amazing her day was.

Grace was thinking about the sentence which she had said in the morning, ‘If you will let me stay then I will let your wolf mark me.’ She had said that line at that moment so that Zayden would let her stay at her parent’s house but now, she was a little scared and nervous. She wanted to postpone this marking to some other day but she was not sure whether Zayden would listen to her or not.

She was waiting for him in the room because he said he had some important work with Eric and it might take a few hours. After a while, she picked up her mobile and started searching for details about WEREWOLVES on google.

“Still not slept?”, She heard and followed the direction of the sound. Zayden was standing on the door in just a boxer. She quickly averted her eyes. In the last two days, she figured out that whenever any werewolves turn back to their human form then they are completely naked, and to hide their precious gem, they wear boxers.

“I…I was waiting for you.”, She said in a low tone. She wanted to talk with him about what she had said in the morning but she saw him walking toward the washroom so she taught him to wait a little more.

“Why are you not wearing anything?”, She asked, when she saw him, approaching the bed without wearing any t-shirt.

“I am feeling so hot, sweetheart.”, he said and smiled naughtily.

Grace quickly lowered the temperature of the air conditioner with the hope that he would wear a t-shirt but Zayden had already thought to take one more step ahead in their marriage. So, this was not going to work anyway.

“This is not going to work, sweetheart. The body temperature of the werewolves is too hot compared to humans. So, I am going to sleep without a t-shirt.”, Saying this, he laid down on the bed.

“But…”

“Shhh”, He shushed her and pulled her close to him. “Stop feeling shy or nervous. We are married couples.”, He said, after listening to her heartbeats.

“I..I am not feeling nervous.”, She lied. Zayden chuckled and apologized for guessing wrong even though he knew he was right. Grace was having a hard time sleeping in this position. She knew he did it intentionally. She kept looking at his abs. She didn’t praise him but he looked handsome.

While he was playing with her hair. Grace didn’t complain either. She wondered why he was so obsessed with her hair!

“Do you remember what you had said in the morning?”, Zayden said after half an hour, when he observed that Grace was still not asleep.

“Hmm”, Grace hummed, and mustered all the courage to talk about it but that’s when he beat her.

“I know you are not ready yet.”

‘Of Course you would know with the help of your powers.’, She thought.

“But now that you’re Luna, you should be person of your words.”, He added in a serious tone in which Grace looked at him innocently. In general cases, Zayden hated those people who were not true to their words, no matter in what situation the other person had taken that decision. But right now, he couldn’t get mad or hate Grace for not backing out from her words. He wanted to win her with love not by creating any type of pressure on her.

“I am sorry but I am ready to do anything but not this. I mean at least not for now.”, She said desperately.

“And how can I believe you this time? What if you back out again at the last moment?”, he asked, trying to hide his evil smile.

“I won’t. I promise.”, she promised innocently.

“In that case, I want you to k**s every night, every morning, while leaving the home and while returning home.”, he announced. She looked at him shocked when he placed his demand. Only one question came into her mind.

Could she do it?

But after thinking for a while, she nodded.

“Okay then. Give me a good night k**s. It’s already too late today.” he said. Grace looked at him for a while and kissed his cheek with lightning speed and moved away.

“You didn’t mention where I have to k**s.”, This time Grace beat him before he could have said something. He shook his head smilingly at his wife’s smartness. But instead of saying anything, he kissed her back with double intensity on her forehead. Grace tried to sleep again but she couldn’t forget the feel of his light bearded cheek on her lips.

One week later

Grace watched down the house from the window when she heard a loud howl of the wolf. She recognized the howling sound of that wolf immediately. After all, she knew who it was. She saw the guards opening the silver gate for him and other wolves who followed him.

She was not at all interested in watching them turning back to the butt-naked human. So, she left the spot without wasting another minute and walked out of the room to open the door for him.

“Sweetheart!”, Zayden called for her excitedly as soon as she opened the door. “The meeting with the werewolf queen went well.”, He said, to which Grace just smiled and closed the door behind him. Zayden had told her about the meeting where he was called because someone had informed her about his dramatic marriage to the queen.

“She said that I have violated one of the rules of our world i.e. forced you to marry me. So, soon she will meet you to confirm whether I am treating you right or not!”, Zayden said. “If she finds something fishy then I will be punished.”

“So the queen is like the one who maintains law and order in the werewolf world?”, Grace asked, understanding the rules of his world.

“You can say so.”

“Oh”, She muttered. “I will get you chilled water.”, She said innocently, acting as if she had forgotten about the k**s between the conversation. She got to know that he preferred drinking chilled water whenever he arrived home.

She had not even turned fully when he caught her wrist and pulled her to him. “Did you really forget or acting to forget something which you promised that night?”, He asked, keeping eye contact with her. A blush crept her cheeks as she remembered her promise.

Every day, she secretly wished him to forget about that promise but he always reminded her. Even though she never forgot about that promise either, she tried to act as she forgot it. This phenomenon had become a routine of their life. She would k**s him and he would k**s her with double intensity.

“I didn’t forget.”, She said, trying to hide her blush. She raised and kissed his cheek with lightning speed. Zayden chuckled at her childish behavior. He kissed her forehead in return which earned him another blush as usual. And every time, he would control the urge to k**s her senseless, so as to not startle her.
