Chapter 14

Myles POV

After dinner, everyone decided to head to their rooms.

I quickly changed into some basketball shorts with no shirt.

My mom requested one night with all windows open. She does this every time we come here. She loves the breeze and the smell.

But it gets hot fast. We always end up turning the A.C. on before morning.

I walked through the bathroom after making sure Lily wasn’t using it. I knocked on her door, waiting for her to answer.

I didn’t want to use the hallway because i knew if Brady and Conner saw they would give me s**t for it.

It took her a few minutes before she opened the door.

My eyes went wide, and I couldn’t speak.

She was in a white silk camisole and matching short set. white lace around the trim. Showing off more cleavage than I could handle.

The straps were so thin , one tug, and they would easily rip.

She clearly wasn’t wearing a bra. I could see her hard buds.

She spoke before I could.

” I’m sorry, Myles, I couldn’t find my robe, I think I might have forgotten it, and it’s just so hot in here.”

I finally gathered myself together, I couldn’t help the bulge in my shorts. It’s not the best thing to be wearing when trying to hide a hard on.

“That’s actually why I knocked, I didn’t know if you needed help opening the windows?”

“They get stuck easily, and we haven’t been here in a while, and I wanted to tell you goodnight.”

“Yes, thank you, that would be great.”

She opened the door a little more and turned around to let me in.

I had to close my eyes and bit my l*p. You could see the bottom of her a*s.

It took everything I had to keep Harvey from taking over.

I quickly opened her windows.

She was sitting on the edge of the bed. I bent down to k**s her goodnight. She wrapped her hand around my neck and deepened the k**s.

“Stay with me, Myles. we can watch a movie or just lay here , but please just stay.”

I was quiet for a moment, I didn’t want her thinking I was trying to take advantage of her.

“You don’t have to, I feel weird being away from home, I’ve never slept anywhere else.”

She started rambling. She always did this when she got nervous.

“If you don’t want to I understand, I mean we’ve slept on my couch multiple times together, but I wouldn’t want you to think I’m taking advantage of you, or I’m expecting anything.”

I finally kissed her, so she would stop rambling.

Before she could speak again.

“Yes, I would love to stay with you.”

Lily POV

I was beyond relieved when he said he would stay with me.

I know it’s kind of childish, but I was kinda scared and feeling kind of home sick, I’ve never stayed anywhere before.

When i heard Myles knock, i was debating, even opening the door. I realized I forgot my robe, and every single pair of pajamas I brought were thin and left very little to the imagination.

It was the middle of summer, i knew nights would be hot, and I wasn’t expecting connecting rooms. I thought if I did happen to see him at night, I could just put my robe on.

I slapped my forehead a few times and repeated, “So stupid Lily.”

I finally got the courage to open the door, I felt a little better seeing Myles had no shirt on, his abs on full display. He had his hands on each side of the door frame, making his biceps more distinctive.

I bit my l*p, trying not to make it obvious that I was checking him out. His eyes kept shifting from black to brown, clearly fighting control with his wolf.

I was just happy he said yes, even after my nervous rambling.

There weren’t many movie options, mostly 80s and 90s chick flicks. We settled for sixteen candles.

I got into the bed first, only putting a light sheet over my body. He climbed in from the other side, wrapping his around me, pulling me close so we were spooning.

He put his head in the crook of my neck, inhaling my scent and placing light k****s where my mark should go.

Starlight was purring, wanting him to keep going.

His breathing evened out, and I knew he fell asleep , I wasn’t too far behind him.

Myles POV

I woke up early with such a hard on. I looked over at Lily. She was sleeping on her stomach and had one leg draped over me. One strap on her top had slid down her arm.

I could get used to waking up like this every day.

I slipped out, trying not to wake her. She rolled over, grabbed the pillow on the other side, and went back to sleep. I placed the blanket over her body.

It cooled off in here. Someone clearly broke down and turned on the A.C. I closed the windows and headed to take a quick shower.

I peaked in her room after my shower. She was still passed out, so I wrote her a note saying I woke early and would be downstairs helping my mom with breakfast.

Lily POV

I woke up to the sound of the door closing. I looked over and saw Myles wasn’t on his side of the bed. There was a note left on the pillow.

“Morning sleeping beauty, I didn’t want to wake you. You looked so peaceful. I went downstairs to help mom with breakfast. Meet me downstairs to eat, and then we can hit the beach.”

Seriously, I was so thoughtful to leave a note.

I didn’t bother with a shower if I was just going to get sweaty and covered with sand.

I put on my dark purple one piece swim suit, it cut low all the way down to my belly button with little strings holding the fabric together in the center. The straps cut low on my lower back, showing a lot of skin , but not as much as a bikini.

I slide on a pair of white cotton shorts over my swimsuit and put two French braids in my hair. I slid my sunglasses to the top of my head and went downstairs.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I heard a whistle and a smack sound. Conner yelled, “Ouch , damnit Myles, I couldn’t help it.”

I giggled, leaving it to Conner to make a scene.

We all ate quickly and headed down towards the beach.

Me and Amber plopped down in some beach chairs and watched the boys make sand castles. I swear they were still little kids by heart.

We spent most of the afternoon talking. It was nice just spending time with just the two of us.

Every so often, Myles would come running back up, giving me k****s all over my face and then running back to the boys.

Amber looked at me seriously for a moment.

“You know he loves you, right?”

We sat in silence for a few moments just watching the boys.

I finally spoke.

“Yeah, I know, I think I might love him too.”

She smiled. ” You both deserve to be happy.”

I kept staring off at the boys.

“You know Brody loves you, right? You deserve to be happy, too.”

She shot up. “How did you know that we were mates?”

“I didn’t say anything about you guys being mates, just that he loved you.”

“Why haven’t you guys told anyone yet?”

“Well, im not 19 yet, and we weren’t sure if my parents would be happy. Brody told me before my birthday, and then there’s the whole being best friends with my brother thing.”

“I wasn’t sure if Myles would approve or if it would put a damper on his and Brodys friendship.”

“I just didn’t want him to lose any more friends.”

Guilt rushed through me, I felt like I was going to puke.

Amber saw the panic look on my face.

“Lily, I didn’t mean anything by it. He didn’t stop being friends with Ben because of you.”

“They drifted apart because of the choices Ben made.”

“Yeah, the choice that had to do with me.”

She pulled me in for a hug and wiped the few tears I shed.

“No more of this, Lily. we should do something fun tonight. Theres an outdoor bar called Lenny’s it has a huge dance floor, and they have a dj every night during the summer. You only have to be 18 to get in.”

“Let’s go dance and let loose.

For once, she didn’t have to convince me, I instantly replied “yes let’s do it.”

I actually felt excited

“You’re really starting to open up Lily, trying to actually enjoy life for once. I’m glad, it’s about time.”

“Amber, will you help me get ready tonight? I actually want to get dolled up and surprise Myles.”

“I would love to, Lily. Did you bring your cowgirl boots they would be perfect tonight. Heels and sand don’t mix.”

“You mean heels and Lily don’t mix.”

She laughed but agreed.

We mentioned to the boys the plans for tonight.

Conner was overly excited to meet some new girls, and Myles pouted because I told him I was getting ready with Amber and he couldn’t see me till I was ready.

He gave me about a hundred k****s before he let me head back inside with Amber.
