Landyns POV

I watched the girls vanish, and all of us quickly started to panic. It tied to link Lily instantly, and I got nothing but a block.

I looked up at Myles, and I think he tried to do the same thing as i was trying, and he took off running into the woods.

The girls couldn’t be that far ahead of us. Maureen had to have seen the rogue king it was the only explanation of why she would teleport like that.

Maureen told me she could only teleport one person at a time. I was scared to know what the repercussions would be for teleporting three.

I followed Myles with Conner next to me. I looked back, and Andrew was nowhere in sight. I’m really hoping we just didn’t get played by him.

We ran into the direction we saw the girls looking, and we were coming up empty. They couldn’t be far. Maureen literally has to see the things where she wants to teleport.

Myles started sniffing the air and pacing back and forth. “I can smell Lily. It’s like she should be right here.”

Conner did the same. “I can smell Louise too.”

I linked Brody. “We lost the girls. Get back here quickly. “

I heard him growl, and he cut the link.

I looked over to the fields, and the fighting was slowing down. There were piles, and i mean piles of dead rogues. I was proud of our warriors. But this whole thing was odd. It’s like some of the rogues retracted.

We heard a screech in a distance, and we all ran towards it.

Alpha Rodger had Luna Meghan by the throat. We tried to link him about Ben, but he had a block up. Seems like the popular thing to do tonight.

Myles approached them slowly. “You both know that Ben’s in the hospital, right?”

Luna Meghan didn’t look shocked, but Alpha Rodger did.

He kept his grip on Lunas throat but turned to face us. “How bad? “

“He’s in a coma from all the magic and stab wounds. Lily tried to heal him. She did what she could. Maureen isn’t sure if he will ever wake up.”

Luna choked out her words. “I take it Maureen is the little witch you snuck into the pack? You can be killed for that.”

“We took our chances since she is related to a pack member.”

Luna snorted.” And who could that possibly be?”

I smiled at her. “Lily.”

I watched her mind spiraling, trying to figure out the connection. I loved having the one up on her.”

Her eyebrows scrunched together. “How?”

“There sisters, not that it really matters now. The girls are missing. We smelt them but couldn’t see them, and we haven’t been able to get them through linking. Any idea what’s that’s about?”

“Why should I tell you? Aren’t you all about to kill me?”

Andrew came out out from behind a tree. “Not them, mother but me. I want the right. I’ve seen the monster that you are. What you’ve done to these people, to me…. to Ben. I’ll be the one to kill you.”

Luna Meghan laughed. She was clearly amused by him. “Sorry, sweetie, but you don’t have the balls to, and you would never leave your sister without a mother.”

“I think she would be better off. I think we all would.”

I hadn’t realized how close Andrew got to his mother. Before any of us could react, including Alpha Roger, who still had her by the throat, Andreq had taken one of Amber’s daggers and stabbed her right in the heart.

Her eyes bulged out in shock along with the rest of us.

Alpha Rodger instantly released her from his grip, and she dropped to the ground. He grabbed onto his stomach, clearly feeling the pain of his mate dying.

This wasn’t the long stretched out death I was hoping would come her way. But watching the life drift out of her eyes would have to be good enough for me.

Myles yelled. “Now what the f**k to do we do? She was the only hope in finding the girls.”

The guilt was consuming me. I knew he was right. We should have suspected Andrew to actually do something. I just thought he wouldn’t be able to. Even Ben said he wouldn’t be able to kill his own mother. But Andrew had a different version of her than Ben had.

Andrew raised his hand like a kid in school. “I can help with that.”

Myles looked at him harshly. “Okay, how?”

“Some warlock has some sort of cloak up around them. As soon as they teleported, they were cloaked. You can’t see or communicate with them, and they can’t with you. I know there’s a weak spot where you can enter in and out of it. I just don’t know where they are keeping the girls or how to tell where the weak spot is. if we had a witch or warlock, it would be a lot easier to tell.”

“f**k, we can smell them. Does that help?”

“Actually, yes, it does. The cloak can only protect about a hundred feet or so, but it’s possible it could be way more depending on how powerful he is. Where did you smell them?”

“Over here. But how do you know all this?”

I saw the look of guilt wash over Andrew’s face. I knew instantly he had known about this part the whole time.

He gulped but stayed quiet. It looked like he was thinking how he wanted to say everything. I thought about listening to his thoughts. I decided in the end to least give him a chance.

“Did Luna Meghan know?”

“She did, but not till a little bit ago. I think that’s what she was trying to find before your Alpha caught up to her.”

“Did she know where the weak spot is?”

Andrew shook his head. “I don’t think.”

“Why didn’t you tell us? If you knew this was part of the plan, why didn’t you say anything?”

“Honesty, I didn’t think three other girls could teleport with her. How was I supposed to know all your mates would grab onto her. I thought Maureen could hold her own. What exactly was I supposed to say. It’s not like we’ve just been sitting around making small talk. Besides, they weren’t even sure if this plan would even happen.”

Myles roared. “You should have warned us. You’re still acting like a lousy rogue. You claim to never have wanted that life. We’re giving you a chance here, and you’re blowing it.”

“Honestly, it slipped my mind. Look what’s happening around us. I just killed my own f*****g mother for crying out loud. I’m sorry but I had my own problems in all this. But I’m trying to help now. I may not be as perfect as all of you, but I’m trying.”

I tried to ignore the “perfect” comment. I knew he was just being a smart a*s. I understood he had just met us. He didn’t owe us anything, and he was dealing with his own problems all while trying to help us in the process, too.

A gush of wind started to move in circles around us. I noticed in a distance that the trees and leaves weren’t moving. So whatever was happening, it was only in this area.

Myles put his hand on my shoulder and his other hand on his stomach. All this wind was making it hard to hear anything, so he linked me. “I think all this is because of Maureen. Something is happening, and something is wrong with Lily.”

I actually agreed with Myles. I kept feeling the nauseous feeling coming, and I knew it had to be either Lily or Maureen. I guess by Myles’s reactions, I now know for sure that it’s Lily.

Conners linked us. “Anyone else noticing the purple glow over there? I’m wondering if that’s how we get in.”

“It’s worth the try.”

We were already heading that way when we saw a large white wolf enter right through where it was glowing. The wolf was way too large to be Lily.

Brody finally met up with us. “What the hell is this?”

“I guess the girls are in there.” I pointed where the purple glow was coming from.”

We all stopped in front of where the glow was. The wind seemed to be moving around it. I took a step forward as soon as I was through. I saw the girls.

Conner ran instantly towards Louise, who was on the ground. She seemed to be healing.

Andrew was slicing through rogues. Their shocked reactions of Andrew being the one to kill them were priceless.

Amber was being carried towards me unconscious, and Maureen was chanting back and forth with Silas.

I looked at Louise with gritted teeth. “What is he doing here?” I didn’t put it together that the warlock could have been Silas. It makes sense why it would be.

Louise put her head down. “He’s working with the rogue king.”

I looked around, realizing I didn’t see Lily anywhere.

Myles was looking around frantically like I was. “Louise, where is Lily?”

“The rogue king dragged her that way. They couldn’t have gotten far. Guys, Lily is in labor, and her water broke.”

Myles faces paled, and he took off running in the direction Louise pointed at.

I looked at Maureen, and she locked eyes with me. She yelled, “Go.” She didn’t have to say anything more. i knew what she wanted me to do.

Part of me was being pulled to stay with her, and the other part of me was being pulled towards Lily.

I saw Myles bend over in pain. I knew it had to be Lily. I was feeling a tight pain myself, but I knew it still wasn’t anything compared to what Myles had to be feeling.

I bent down so he could put his arm around my shoulder, and we kept moving in the direction where Louise pointed.

We picked up on Lily’s scent, and she was bent over in the grass on all fours . We watched the rogue king kick her straight in the face, and she rolled onto her back. She didn’t seem to be conscious.

Myles and I both ran towards her. The large white wolf we had seen before came out of nowhere and went straight towards the man I assume is the rogue king.

The rogue king never stood a chance. He was ripped into shreds within minutes.

Myles scooped Lily in her arms, and we headed back in the direction we came from so we could quickly get her to pack the hospital.

We heard a raspy voice behind us. “Wait, that’s my granddaughter. “

King Michael’s POV

As soon as we got the clear to head out, i made it my mission to find the rogue king. He wasn’t going to get away with this, and i wasn’t trying to hide my presence any longer. My wolf wanted his b***d.

I felt like I was running in circles. Not once did I see the rogue king. I was roaming all of the pack lands. I made sure to take the time to memorize it.

I entered the pack house and came across nothing. I couldn’t even find Lily, and I was starting to worry.

I felt the shift in the air, and I knew there had to be witches and warlocks involved.I just hoped it was only on our side.

I noticed on the opposite side of the pack house from where I was standing the trees and leaves were moving in a circular motion. But when i looked around everywhere else, it was calm.

I went by my instincts and followed the direction of the winds.

I came across unfamiliar voices. They didn’t smell like rogues, except maybe the one.

They mentioned a purple glow, and I ran towards it, knowing instantly what it meant. My gut was telling me everyone I was looking for was just through there.

As soon as I made it through, I was ambushed by rogues. I’m honestly surprised they would dare come at me. I tore my way through them. I saw the rogue king dragging Lily in a distance.

More rogues approached me, pushing me back into the woods. I saw the others coming through the purple glow.

I saw two pack wovles run towards the direction of where the rogue king was taking Lily. I’m assuming one was Myles. He kept bending over in pain.

I broke through the rogues and ran towards Lily, never slowing down. I watched the rogue king kick her in the face, and I picked up my speed even quicker. I flew past the wolves that were running in human form, and I didn’t waste any time tearing him to pieces.

He never saw me coming. He deserved a long, painful death, but I wasn’t going to take any chances of him breaking free. Him in his mate caused my family enough betrayal and hurt.

I watched one of the wolves, I’m assuming, is Myles carry Lily back in the direction we all came from.

I yelled at them. “Wait, that’s my granddaughter.”

I knew i had to be covered in b***d, but I just wanted to be with her when she woke.

They turned my direction. The only carrying Lily spoke. But he turned back and kept walking. “I mean no disrespect, sir. She’s in labor. We have to keep moving.”

“I agree. The rogues should back off now that Rogue King is dead.”

The other one spoke. “Im Landyn, by the way, and sir, Luna Meghan is dead as well.”

I nodded. “And there, son? The one that wanted to be mated with Lily.”

Landyn spoke again. “He never wanted to be mated to her. He’s the one that killed Luna Meghan.”

“Wow, his own mother.” That would take some serious hatred towards the woman to be able to kill her.

Myles spoke. “He has been helping us. I think he actually hates being a rogue. He’s been slaughtering them right along with us.”

We reached the others, and a witch and a warlock were still in an intense battle between the two of them.

The witch looked familiar. I just couldn’t place my finger on it.

A red head came running towards us, running her fingers through Lily’s hair. “You guys kill the Rogue king?”

Landyn nodded. “Yes, he’s gone.”

Myles went back to walking towards the exit. “Sorry guys, she needs the hospital.” He took off in a sprint.

She looked nervous. “Okay, what about Luna Meghan and Lexi?”

I heard Landyn yell as I was following Myles. “s**t, I haven’t seen Lexi.”
