His destined mate -
Chapter 67
Ethan's POV
Falling into darkness felt like an eternity. Time passed, and only the strained murmur of Bianca's voice could be heard. "Ethan!" he said. he said, smirking. The sound pierced the void, forcing me to fight against the weight of despair that threatened to drag me down.
I felt the cold shadows around me, but I couldn't let them catch me. "No!" I screamed, wanting to stop. I focused on the warmth of our relationship, the light we created together.
That light was my lifeline, a beacon to guide me through the darkness. Suddenly I hit something difficult. The influence shook me back to reality, took a deep breath, and accepted my surroundings. I was in a dimly lit room, distorted shadows decorating the walls, dancing like the living.
But there was no sign of Bianca, and panic welled up in my chest. "Bianca!" he said. he said, smirking. I called, my voice echoing off the stone walls. Silence answered, but I could feel the remnants of our magic vibrate in the air, a small gleam of light against the impending darkness. I had to find him.
I shook off the distractor and pushed myself to my feet. The room seemed alive, pulsing with the energy that scared and fascinated me. I felt Derek nearby, a dark cloud hovering out of sight. Gathering strength, I focused on the light within me. "I'll find you, Bianca,
"I promised as I stepped forward into the shadows. Each step felt heavy, and the darkness reached out to test my resolve, but I refused to give up. As I entered deeper into the room, I saw a flicker of light in the distance tiny sparks that seemed to pulse with life.
Hope glowed in my chest as I rushed towards them. "Bianca!" he said. he said, smirking. I screamed again, frustration flowing in my voice. But as I approached the lights a cold smile hit thr
But as I approach the lights, cold laughter echoes through the room. "You're so honest, Ethan," Derek's voice laughed, dripping with malice
. "But tenacity won't save you." I froze, the hair on the back of my neck resisting. "Where is he?" he asked. he asked. I searched, anger seeping through me. "What did he do?" he asked. he asked. Derek saw himself, his silhouette framed by flashing lights.
"He's where he is he disappears into the shadows, as you soon will." Anger poured out of me. I couldn't let him win. "I'll find him, I'll stop you!" I screamed, turning my miracle into a ball of light. It shook in my hand, lighting up the room as I prepared to release it. Derek just smiled, shadows circling him.
"Your light is nothing but a light shining against the darkness I have commanded." With a flick of his wrist, the shadows coalesced into a thick wave, rolling towards me. "on!"
I roared, releasing the light with all my might. A pulse of energy pushed back the shadow, illuminating the room with blinding light. I felt Maya's warmth fill the air, but Derek stood firm, malice shining in his eyes. "You can't defeat me with light alone!" He shouted as shadows swirled around him like a black storm. "You'll regret challenging me!" Bianca's POV
I was lost in a void, swirling darkness pulling me deeper. "Ethan!" I cried out, but my voice was swallowed by the abyss. Panic surged through me, but I refused to give in. I focused on our bond, the warmth of his presence still flickering in my heart.
Suddenly, I felt a tug, a pull that drew me toward a distant light. "Ethan!" I shouted again, my heart racing. I could sense him, fighting against the shadows, and I needed to reach him.
With every ounce of strength, I pushed against the darkness, envisioning the barrier we had created together. "We are stronger together!" I whispered to myself, channeling my magic into the light.
As I surged forward, I caught glimpses of shimmering energy in the distance. It flickered like a dying star, urging me closer. "I won't give up!" I declared, determination igniting within me. I could feel the shadows clawing at my mind, whispering doubts, but I fought them back.
The light grew brighter, and I could hear Ethan's voice echoing in my mind. "Bianca, stay strong!" His determination fueled my own, and I pushed harder against the encroaching darkness.
But then, I felt a sudden shift. The ground beneath me quaked, and I was pulled back, deeper into the void. "No!" I screamed, feeling the cold fingers of despair wrap around me.
"Your light is fading!" Derek's voice echoed, mocking and cold. "You're nothing without him!"
With a surge of desperation, I fought against the shadows, channeling every ounce of magic I had left. "I won't let you take me!" I shouted, focusing on the bond I shared with Ethan, the love that had guided us through the darkest times. The light flared around me, illuminating the darkness for a fleeting moment. I felt a rush of power as I connected with the magic within me. "This ends now!" I declared, channeling everything into a single point.
But the darkness responded with a wave of cold energy, crashing against me like a tidal wave. I felt myself being pulled back, my magic flickering like a candle in the wind.
"Ethan!" I cried, the darkness threatening to engulf me. In that moment, I felt a spark of hope deep within. I could reach him. We could fight together.
Ethan's POV
Against my beam, Derek's shadow pushed me back with great force. "Do you think you can save him?" he smiled, his eyes shining in triumph. "You're just a kid playing with fire!"
"I'm not afraid of you!" I screamed, digging deeper for strength. I had to get to Bianca. The thought of losing him fueled my anger and lit a fire inside me. With a noise I pushed into the darkness, focusing all my energy on one light. "This is Bianca's!" I reported, releasing magic with all my might.
The light surged forward, illuminating the room as it flew towards Derek. But he fought it effortlessly, his shadow clashing with my light, creating a wave of terror that shook the walls. "Do you think you can beat me?"
He looks funny, he exclaimed. "Do nothing without darkness!" At that moment I felt the room shake violently, the shadows close in, the ground crack open beneath me, and I knew I had to act fast "I'm not letting you take her!". I said that. I screamed, my priceless temper flowing through my veins.
As the darkness threatened to consume me, I saw a flash of light in the distance. "Bianca!" he said. he said, smirking. I screamed as frustration hit my chest. With renewed vigour, I broke through the oncoming shadows and pushed forward. "Hold on, I'm coming!"
But when I reached the light, the ground beneath me gave way. I felt myself falling again, and the darkness spread beneath me like an abyss. "No!" I screamed as panic seized me as I sank into the void. Falling, I stretched the light, my fingers touching something warm and alive.
But just when I thought I could catch it, the shadows closed, and I was seen again. "Ethan!" he said. he said, smirking. I heard Bianka's voice in the distance but didn't move And then, everything went d
