I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 70

Aidan slowly let himself fall on his alpha’s member. As always this one was big and he struggled a bit at first, though the resistance only lasted a few seconds mating perfectly. It was crazy what they were doing. Having s*x in the middle of that house, but he knew Dominic needed to emphasize his possessiveness over him.

He hadn’t demanded it, but from what he’d studied about alphas, this was part of instinct. And he wouldn’t deny it to her. He seemed paranoid, but he was only doing it to protect him and that touched Aidan.

Slowly and as she had learned she let her pheromones out slowly, she didn’t want him to lose what little control he had left and that spurred him on even more. Aidan walked steadily over there. The servants looked at her strangely because in addition to the fact that he was a guest he was an omega. Though what was most striking was his bearing. His life had not been the most luxurious but because of his position and travels he had put together a distinguished enough closet and now more than his mate insisted on dressing him in the best. So the set of black silk pants and shirt, his dark hair combed and shiny, and the expensive and elegant shoes, made him look like someone of the same level as the owner of that house.

And there was also the pronounced wound on her neck made in the night and the one adorning the back of her neck, well visible through her short hair.

He went down the stairs to the courtyard, it took him some time to get there because that house was immense but he didn’t show the slightest tiredness when he stopped a few meters away from Ofelia, who was impressed when she noticed his presence. And she did not hide the contempt on her face especially when she walked along the marks on the omega and recognized the possessive smell of her son that washed over him. Aidan on the other hand smiled slightly, though his eyes were darkened.

-I really wonder what I did to make him treat me that way,” he spoke slowly.

Ophelia snorted, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

-I have to say it,” she narrowed her eyes, “Look at that, you don’t even say good morning,” Aidan raised an eyebrow.

Aidan raised an eyebrow.

-I don’t think someone who puts glass in other people’s food without thinking of the consequences is entitled to my good morning, especially when they aren’t- the omega’s tone changed to drier.

Ophelia frowned.

-I’m going to be clear, you are not on the same level as my puppy. Dominic deserves better, someone from a distinguished family who will give him more recognition than he has. Even his father was almost shocked when he saw you. Dulse was the best choice, but you had to come along and ruin his life.

As the omega babbled Aidan checked his polished fingernails, the ones he was constantly burying in his partner’s back. He only listened to blah, blah, blah after the word puppy, that told him everything. He waited for her to finish talking before he did.

-I would like to make three things very clear- Aidan faced her without fearing her, that woman apparently was used to treat others as she pleased- First, haven’t you seen your son, Dominic is not a puppy and even less of those who need your protection to live. He is an independent and self-confident alpha, otherwise he wouldn’t have conquered me, he insisted a lot- she raised her hand when the other omega wanted to interrupt her- Second, yes, I wasn’t born in a luxurious home but I am proud of what I have achieved by my own means, at least that has more value than being someone who has thousands of limitations and has to live under the appearances of others. And third and most important, his son marked me, I am his omega and above all his destined partner and I will fight tooth and nail to defend what belongs to me. And Dominic is mine.

-Ophelia’s face was completely red with rage. Aidan didn’t even flinch.

-And another thing, and not less important. Even though you hate me with all your being as you have just demonstrated, at least on my part I have no intention of Dominic breaking relations with your family. Proof of this is that we are still here when he wanted to leave just yesterday, if he had done so I am sure he would have a hard time restoring relations with his son. I know the pain of having a dysfunctional family, I don’t want him to go through the same thing.

He saw Ophelia open her mouth to close it again.

-That’s all I wanted to say. I’ll leave now, Dominic should be waking up soon. Yesterday it took me a long time to calm him down and I’m sure he wants us to leave as soon as possible- Aidan turned around and started to walk away.

But Ophelia wasn’t going to leave things like that. Seconds later the calm surface of the pool water broke, splashing everywhere as a body rushed in.
