The next Day…

Tucker’s POV

I stretch as I am sitting in the living room with Tony. Since the whole thing that happened with Jayde at Drake’s place, he and Tobias have been stuck to me like glue. I practically had to kick Tobias out of the pack house for him to go to Royal Moon with Melody and the others. He has his mate and should be with him. I would say the same about Tony, but Maria told him to stay with me until she got back from Thunder Mountain. She was joining Raven Moon. I personally didn’t want to go to Royal Moon because I didn’t want to see Jayde’s family. As far as they knew she was alive and living as a rogue. I would not have the heart to tell them that I was their daughter’s true mate and that I was the one that killed her, because she was a dangerous threat to my queen and best friend.

My cell rings in my pocket. I checked the caller ID and it read Ethan. I slide the green button to answer it and bring the phone up to my ear. “Hey dude. How was the big party yesterday?” I asked, because no one called last night to update Tony or I on anything funny that happened at the party. “Uh, let’s just say that it was more eventful than we originally thought it would be. I will explain more when we get home. I just called to let you know that we were back in Raven Moon Territory and would be there in about 15 minutes.” Ethan spoke in his normal tone. “Oh okay. Tony and I will meet you guys out front to help with the bags and stuff.” I replied. I looked over at Tony and he smiled and nodded his head in agreement. “Great. Thanks dude. See you in a bit.” “Yeah, see ya.” I ended the call.

“Let’s go. They are about 15 minutes away from the pack house.” I told Tony. “Alright.” He said while getting off the couch and stretching. We started heading towards the door, when a new scent hit my nose. I freeze. Cerberus perks up at the new scent. I smelled strawberries with vanilla and dark chocolate. Tony was looking at me worriedly since I just stopped in the middle of the hallway. ‘Mate!’ Cerberus yelp. I could practically see him wagging his tail and jumping up and down in my head. I gulped. A knot in my gut. ‘W-w-what if she turns out like Jayde?’ I asked my wolf. He whimpered. I felt bad to rain on his parade but we were hurt so much more when we got high on the mate bond and then had it snatched away from us. “Bro, are you ok?” Tony asked in a hush tone.

“I-i-i-i am not too sure. I smell my second chance mate, and I’m nervous. What if she turned out to be like Jayde?” I asked him. Before he could answer me there was a knock on the door. It had to be my mate, because one the smell was coming from the door and two if it was the others, they wouldn’t knock on their own door. They would just walk right in like always. Tony placed his hand on my shoulder. “Just give your new mate a chance. I am sure the Moon Goddess would have given you someone a hundred times better than Jayde.” He said with a smile. “Besides, if they are like her or worse, then you can always take a chosen mate when you’re ready.” I know he meant that to be a ‘glass half empty’ kind of thing, but if my second chance mate was worse than Jayde then I would live single forever.

Another knock came from the door. I took a deep breath and Tony nudged me forward. ‘Well, answer the door bro.’ He mind linked me. I gulped and walked over to the door. With shaky hands I grabbed the handle and turned it to pull the door open. I was at a loss for words. There was not one, but two goddesses in front of me. They were identical with the small exception of the one on my right had a scar on her neck. Like something had nicked her there years ago. They were both pretty curvy especially in the h**s and thighs, but they had well toned arms and legs muscles. Long dark brown hair that was in a neat braid and it went down to the tops of their sexy round asses.

I would say they are about 5’10, since they were only slightly shorter than me. I looked at their faces and felt as if cupid had nailed my heart with a f*****g arrow. They had dark emerald green eyes, a cute nose, and their lips were full and a soft shade of pink. I sniffed the air again. The one on my left smelled like strawberries and vanilla, while the one on my right, with the scar, smelled of strawberries and dark chocolate. I had twins for my second chance mates? I was shocked, but I also didn’t feel or sense the presence of a wolf or anything. ‘Are mates are human?’ I asked my wolf. ‘I guess so. I don’t sense a wolf or anything. But they smell heavenly.’ he purred. ‘Okay, down you big love sick puppy. Let me talk to them first.’ I cut the link and noticed them looking at me weird.

“Oh sorry, Hello my name is Tucker and this is my little brother Tony. How can we help you?” I asked in both a hurry and nervous tone. The one on my left giggled and the one on my right smirked. “It is ok, big boy. My sister and I get that attention a lot from men. We are just so good looking we leave them speechless.” She said with a wink. I felt myself blush a bit for being called out for checking them out, but Cerberus and I were a little annoyed at the fact that other males have ogled them the same way. The one on the left lightly smacked her sister. “Sister, be nice and remember why we are here.” Both of their voices were as if angels were singing right to me.

Just as I was about to ask them again what I could help them with, three cars were pulling up to the front of the house. Oh man. Talk about bad timing. Everyone started to get out and when Kai and Riley looked up and waved at me and Tony, they saw my mates and froze. “Riley? Kai? You two ok?” I asked, looking between them and my mates. The one on the left just smiled, while her sister had a smirk on her face with an eyebrow raised. ‘The one just smiling I am gonna call her Forest for now and the one smirking I will label Olive since I have yet to get their names.’ Instead of answering me Kai and Riley got in front of Melody and eyed my mates. Kai reached up and gripped his sword. “Identify yourselves.” Riley growled out. I was at a loss at why Riley and Kai were so on the defensive. “My my my, what rude little kids. You know. Rude little brats get punished.” They one smirking said.

‘Oh no. Don’t tell me that I have gotten mates that are on the bad side again.’ I thought to myself. Forest gave a sigh and snapped her fingers. Next thing I knew I was beside Ethan and Melody, then a large bubble thing appeared all around us. The only ones not in the bubble were Forest, Olive, Riley, and Kai. Ethan and Terrance slammed their fists on the side of the bubble, but were met with a wall. Riley growled and launched at the one that teleported us over here. Olive was in front of Riley just as fast. Riley swung her fist forward, but Olive caught it. Everyone was shocked. I mean, I had yet to see Riley get blocked by anyone here. “Now, now little girl. Is that all the strength you can muster? You seemed to be slacking.” Olive taunted Riley and Riley growled.

Olive then spun and kicked Riley, sending her flying into the trees. I was speechless. Forest looked worried, but still hadn’t moved or said a thing. I turned to Kai and he looked pissed. He drew out his sword and this was the first time we actually saw the blade. Normally when Kai uses his sword it happens so fast that we don’t see him draw his blade. That blade was black with red lighting going through the center. It was like the blade was the direction the lighting was traveling. “Oh you think that will help you?” Olive asked, reaching into the small pouch in her butt, she pulled out the same kunai knife that Riley and Kai used. That was when it hit me. “Holy s**t, these two are from the same world as Kai and Riley.” I said out loud. “What?” Ethan and Terrance roared in unison. “You are right, but you should not worry. It will all be over soon.” Forest said.

I felt nothing but worry, but I was also confused. Cerberus had gone quiet. He wasn’t saying anything. Was it because we may have to be single forever or that he didn’t know how to respond to what forest had said. The sound of clashing metal brought me back to what was happening in front of me. Kai and Olive were going head to head. Their arms were moving so fast that they were a blur. Even with Kai’s sword being about five times longer than the small blade of the kunai. Kai wasn’t getting anywhere near hitting Olive. In a fluted motion, Olive grabbed Kai’s left arm and twisted it. The sickening sound of bones snapping and breaking filled the air, as Kai clenched his teeth. “Oh not gonna scream out? What a tough guy.” Olive said in a sarcastic tone. She kicked Kai in the back of the head and he flew and slammed into the barrier we were all in.

“KAI!!” Ethan and Terrance shouted. They then glared at Olive and growled. Kai g*****d as he tried to get up. Olive stomped on his chest with her foot. “I would stay down, little boy. You have so much left to learn before you could even think of actually beating me.” Olive said in a disappointing tone. Riley then appeared out of nowhere and tried to kick Olive in the head. Olive blocked it. “Back for more I see.” She said and turned her attention to Riley. Ethan and Terrance were still getting more and more pissed as they punched the barrier and nothing was working. Kai was sitting in front of us groaning in pain as he cuddled his broken arm. I turned back to check on Riley.

Riley was throwing punches and kicks in a mirage of combos attacks. Olive was only using one hand to block all of her attacks. “Sloppy! You are letting your emotions cloud your mind.” Olive yelled at Riley before he sunk her fist into Riley’s gut. Riley coughed up a bit of b***d. “You need more mediation for that quick temper. Physical strength is not all that!” Olive kept lecturing Riley on what she was doing wrong in the fight. Almost as if she was her teacher. Olive had kicked Riley in the head and she was sent flying towards us. Riley landed right on top of Kai. Both groaning in pain. I felt an immense and murderous aura coming from Ethan and Terrance. “THAT IS ENOUGH!!!” They roared. In a pure rage, lighting and fire covered their fists. They striked the barrier again and this time it broke

Forest seemed shocked, but she didn’t have time to think about it. Ethan and Terrance dashed out of the barrier and shifted, shredding their clothes. Fire and lighting streamed across their fur. Apollo headed straight for Olive and Thor headed for Forest. I looked away, not wanting to see my second chance mates die in front of me again. I heard a loud snap of the twin alphas’ jaws, but I felt nothing about the mate bond breaking. I slowly opened my eyes and both Olive and Forest were gone. All that were in their place were white and black feathers. I heard a gasp and turned towards it.

Riley was looking up in the sky. I followed her line of sight and felt myself at a loss for words. Forest and Olive were in the sky with angel wings attached to their backs. Forest’s wings were pure white, just like Artemis’s fur, while Olive’s wings were white with black outlining the edges of her wings. “Apollo. Thor. Stop!” Riley cried out. The boys turned to Riley and ran over to her and Kai. They were nuzzling them and licking the twins’ faces. “So what the hell was that about. You two gonna drag us back home?” Kai said, a bit annoyed and angry. Though I think most of the anger was towards himself.

Still in the sky, Olive laughed. “No you silly boy. Though it is true we originally came here to find you two. We are not going to drag you back home. Though that doesn’t mean that I would go easy on you either. You two seriously need more training.” She scolded. “She is right, you two. It seems that you both became a bit relaxed since being in a world where there is hardly anyone here that can challenge you, but you still managed pretty well. Even though Kayla did go over bored with her little test.” Forest said. ‘So Olive’s real name is Kayla.’ I thought to myself… wait a minute.’ I shook my head and turned to the twins.

“Riley, do you and Kai know these two?” I asked. Riley turned to me and smiled. “Yes, though to be honest I thought they were another set of doppelgangers. Until I saw their wings.” she said with a blush and a smile. “Oh that’s right, because doppelgangers can only mimic the human side, not the animal side.” Melody said. “That is correct, Princess.” Kayla said with a smile. “These two are our aunts from back home in our world. The one with the black outlining her wings is Aunt Kayla, and the one with the pure white wings is Aunt Natalia.” Kai said. ‘So Natalia was Forest and Kayla was Olive.’ I thought. Then Kai clutched his arm and g*****d again. “Here you two.” Natalia said and pulled a green stone out of her pocket. The twins moved closer together and Natalia threw the stone at the twins. “Hyper Recovering.”

The twins were encased in a green orb. Then their wounds started to heal quicker than I have seen a werewolf heal. Kai’s arm untwisted and reset itself, all their marks and bruises were disappearing. By the time that the green orb had disappeared, the twins were looking good as new. “So what was the point of hurting the twins in the first place?” Aunt Jess asked. “To humble them and test them on their abilities.” Kayla answered in a heartbeat. “What my sister means is that if there is not someone that can create a challenge for them, then they can unconsciously get lazy in their training. They would just be going through the motions.” Natalia explained more clearly as she and Kayla landed back on the ground. Aunt Jess nodded. “Though I see that now you two are full fledged guardians. That is wonderful. Congratulations.” Natalia said, turning to the twins. They both smile. I felt my jaw drop when I saw Kai smile. “So what are you doing here if not to take me and Kai home?” Riley asked. “We were sent here to find you, but not force you back home.” Kayla answered. “Yes. Your mother has been so worried about you. Anytime she is not working… she either spends looking for you or in your rooms.” Natalia told them.

The twins looked down. Sad and a bit heartbroken. “We’re so sorry.” Kai said. “We honestly didn’t want to cause trouble. We just…” Kayla pulled Riley into a hug. “It’s ok. We know. Dalinda has never been a fan of your fate to be someone’s guardians, but look on the bright side. You running off like that, helped Natalia and I find our mate.” She said. Kai stiffened. “Your mate?!” he asked, “Yup.” They answered together. Riley started jumping around. “Oh, who is it? Who is it?” She asked excitedly. Both Kayla and Natalia raised their hands and pointed at me.
