Melody’s POV

Three Months Later…

Between the brutal training and touring around the village. Three months flew by so fast. Though Jasmine was right. Us training in Edolas did seem to help us improve faster. I guess it was because Thor, Apollo, and Artemis were born in this world or something, because it felt right to be here. We also learned how things are different and the same when comparing the clan to the pack. One of the things that are similar is that every member of the clan is treated equally no matter their rank. They all have their own jobs to do for the village to prosper. Fairies, giants, and beast humans that were not warriors tended to the land that seemed to be a massive garden for the village. The warriors took turns training and hunting for any wild game for the village butchers and fishman.

One difference is that only Jasmine, Parker, Kai, and Riley live in the alpha’s house. The alpha’s house is equal to our pack house. Everyone on the alpha’s garud, Natalia, Kayla, Ren, Grace, and Robin, have their own private cabins around the alpha’s house. Even though Jasmine is alpha and her clan would do anything that she asked of them, she does most of her own work. Same with the others. Jasmine had no servants or omegas in her house to cook and clean.

Jasmine cooked all the meals we had, and they were so good. Natalia, Grace, and Ren tended to the gardens and landscaping of the grounds. Robin was in charge of foraging for wild herbs for medicines and cooking, while Kayla was in charge of training schedules. Kayla’s training schedules were so much worse than dads were that is for sure. If you were not doing muscle built training, then you were sparring with someone.

During the first month, it was pure hell. We all got our asses handed to us by Jasmine and her guard. Though Kayla and Jasmine seem to be the main ones that don’t know how to hold back either. They give everything they got in a fight, even for just training. I lost count how many times Kayla has broken mine and Carter’s arm during training. Normally it would suck even for werewolf fast healing would take a couple of days to fully heal, but Ren and Natalia can heal anything within minutes. Jasmine doesn’t even hold back with EJ or TJ. Training began as soon as the sun rose and ended when it was set. Literally. Riley and Kai would wake us up when there was just a sliver of sunlight on the horizon, and we were at the mercy of our trainers until sun down. If Jasmine had duties to attend to, then Natalia and the others were in charge.

After the first month basically being broken and put back together multiple times. Month two seemed a bit better, but no way was it easier. I started off by beating Ren, Robin, Riley, Kai, and sometimes Grace in matches, but only come to a draw when I faced Natalia, Kayla, and Jasmine. My brothers and mates were also getting better. It took much more effort but we finally were able to beat them by the end of the second month here in Edolas. That left only Jasmine to beat.

During the third month was when we got more one on one time with Jasmine. She trained us harder than the others did. Some might think that her training methods were cruel and heartless, but she always tended to us afterwards by making sure we were healed and cared for. Plus would only use her physical strength on us so there was no permanent damage to our bodies.

Yesterday was a big accomplishment for me. I was finally able to beat Jasmine. I was in total shock when I managed to pin her to the ground. Jasmine was all smiles when it happened. Her words kept replaying in my head as I sat high in a tree deep in the forest near Jasmine’s house, alone since I got the day off from training. “You are now stronger than me and the only one to beat me. Well done Melody.” she said with a smile.

‘Does this mean that we are stronger than Estarossa?’ I asked Artemis. ‘It should. I mean he is of alpha b***d, but he has never had a beast soul. He is essentially human.’ Artemis replied. I have heard nothing but horrible things from the village about Estarossa, but I have never really heard Jasmine say anything bad about him besides what she told us before. I closed my eyes and remembered seeing a flash of emotion pass through her eyes when she spoke of him, but it was so quick that I don’t think anyone else noticed. ‘I wonder if she just misses her brother. They are twins after all.’ I said to Artemis. I remember the sadness I saw in her eyes when she spoke about how he killed their parents and basically banished her to another dimension. Artemis wasn’t so sure. ‘Just because she misses him, that does not erase all the pain he has caused to her and their family.’ Artemis snapped.

Even now I could tell that Artemis had a great deal of respect for Jasmine. I did too, but if I could find a way to do so. I would try to bring her brother back before I crushed him into the ground. Mama always taught me that no matter how horrible a family can be the first time around, they could always fix their mistakes the second time around. ‘I understand mama’s teachings as well Melody, but I am telling you that Estarossa is not worth trying to connect with.’ Artemis said. She was starting to annoy me a bit so I blocked her out for some peace and quiet. I hardly ever block her out because we normally agree, but something in my heart is telling me that killing Estarossa will only do more harm than good.

I let out a deep sigh before I knew I had to head back. Kai and Riley ever let me out of their sight. I had to sneak off today with help from Ren just to have a moment to myself. Something has been bugging them and for some reason they won’t say anything to me about it. I hopped down the branches until I reached the bottom of the tree. I stretched and started walking towards the house. Wondering what to do about this feeling I have. The next moment I felt a sting in my neck. I quickly reached up and pulled out a dart. ‘Damn it… I got… carless.’ I thought. I quickly began to feel dizzy. Whatever was in this dart was very effective on werewolves. I then felt myself hit the ground. My body had gone completely numb. My vision was starting to blur. I saw a figure coming closer. I had a hard time identifying who it was with my blurry vision and I couldn’t make out it’s scent.

“You were such a pain to get with those two bastard rats watching you everywhere you went.” I heard the figure say. The level of hatred in his voice was different from when he first spoke to us when we got her a few months ago. “F-f-frau-d-d-drin.” I barely managed to say before everything around me went black.

Fraudrin’s POV

I was finally able to get the stupid moon princess all alone. I studied how she fought. Estarossa was right that as long as I caught her by surprise, she was easy prey. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn’t even notice my presence in the forest. I was extremely lucky that she was finally alone. Those bastard children of the alpha have been keeping a close eye on her since they had been here. Even more so when I was around. Kai’s eyes would always follow my every movement when I was around them, and Riley would cling to this girl.

I leaned down to make sure the drug had knocked her out cold before I attempted to move her. I lifted her head by the hair to test her reaction. Nothing. Out like a light. “I honestly don’t see anything special about you. Other than your weakness for those rats and that murder alpha.” I spat as I lifted her up and over my shoulder. I started walking fast towards where he said to meet him once I had what he wanted and he would have what I wanted. “Soon brother. I will avenge you and take what should have been yours.” I said with a smile.
