Legend Of The Moon Princess -
Episode 99
Jasmine’s POV
‘I can’t believe I let Estarossa get his hands on Melody.’ I thought to myself as I paced around in my office. Fraudrin had said that he had drugged Melody and given her to a man he met in the forest. The man also gave him the vial of foxglove poison that he had laced the tea with. Foxglove would have killed anyone else that would have consumed it. It would not have done anything more than sent my beast souls into a wild frenzy. It would have been just like Riley’s berserker state. I sometimes wonder if her berserker state came from me eating foxglove back when I was trapped in purgatory. For now Fraudrin is locked in the dungeon. Melody will get to be the one that decides his fate once we find her.
The sun has now risen into the sky. Kai, Riley, Robin, and Grace are searching the forest for clues on where we can find Melody. Her mates and brothers also wanted to search, but I stopped them. They don’t know this land all that well and there are dangers in this world that they wouldn’t stand a chance at survival. Kayla and Natalia come into my office. “We have searched everywhere around our lands. If you want to start looking for her in other lands we can speak to the other alphas and extend the search.” Kayla said. I shook my head. “No, I feel like Estarossa will need it to be somewhere that has a strong connection to our family and our clan. Is there anywhere you can think of?” I asked them.
Natalia thought for a moment before it seemed like an idea had hit her. “What about that place?” She asked, with a deep frown on her face and a grim look in her eyes. “It is the only place in our territory that I can think of that no one in our clan would dare go.” She added. ‘That place?!’ I shuddered. I never thought to look there. That place had been deemed both sacred and forbidden. Sacred because it had been in my family for thousands of years and where my ancestor had banished evil demons from back to the demon realm, but it has been forbidden for anyone since my father said it was where my grandparents met their end.
If Estarossa was going to hide Melody anywhere that would be the best place. He would be hiding practically in plain sight. The journey there will take a full day. “Kayla, Natalia.” I called out, looking out the window. “Yes alpha?” They replied in unison. “Ready all of our warriors, and alert those responsible for guarding the village. We are to prepare for war.” I said. Both Kayla and Natalia jumped up and bowed to me. “At once, alpha.” They said before they rushed out the door. “I know they are technically not part of my clan anymore, but they know what needs to be done and we need to leave as soon as possible.
I decided to mind link Robin, Grace, Ren, Kai, and Riley. I would tell my mates and the others once I head back home to prepare myself for battle. ‘All of you need to return home and prepare for war. We have an idea where they may be, but we need to be prepared for a fight.’ I ordered them. ‘Yes alpha.’ They all replied through the link before cutting the connection. I then left my office to head home and prepare myself for a fight.
Once I got home I was surrounded by my mates and the others as soon as I walked through the door. “You know where Melody is?!” Terrance asked. “What can we do to help?” Ethan asked, before I could answer his brother. Then everyone started talking over each other and getting louder and louder. I let Dalinda come forward and she let out a massive roar that made them all go quiet.
I sigh before I begin talking. “We may have an idea where they are, but it is pretty far away. So I have my warriors preparing for war as we speak. Once everything is prepared, we leave immediately.” I said in a serious tone. Mates or not if they are going to get in my way then I am going to leave them here. “I need to prepare myself. If you are going to go with us, then ready yourselves for the journey. If not then stay here and stay out of the way.” I said then walked off to my parents’ old room.
I closed the door and locked it. I don’t come in here often, but it is where my armor is. I walked over to the closet and opened it. Disturbing the dust that had settled in this room. I grabbed my custom made armor that was made out of Dalinda’s dragon scales and everything was stitched together by using Kria’s fur instead of regular thread. Having our armor made out of our beast fur or scales allowed us to wear it and just like with our clothes, they will not shred when we transform.
I slid on the chest plate that covered my chest and stomach as well as my back. I tied off both sides so it would fit comfortably. I put on my custom pants. They looked like regular pants, but they were made out of Kria’s fur, so they repelled magic attacks. Not very effective with weapon attacks like swords and knives, but poison darts could not make it through the thick layer of fur. Then I slid on and tied my shin guards and wrist guards. Lastly I place my clan headband on my forehead and a protection collar around my neck. The head and neck were the most vital areas in a fight.
Most wear a helmet but I never liked wearing them. So I had a headband and collar made for me, both of them marked with my clans crest on it. The clan crest was my family crest. A dragon and a wolf wrapped around a woman that was nestled in the middle of the sun. It was said that our ancestor was loved and blessed by the Sun God, Helios, thousands of years ago. I then grabbed a sword from the back of the closet. ‘Tessaiga.’ I thought of the sword’s name. This sword was part of a pair set that was passed down in our family. Estarossa has the other half of the pair. His sword is Tenseiga. Both were forged from the fang of the first alpha of our clan. I strapped it to my back and left the room.
I walked into the sitting room and saw that everyone else was there. Kai, Riley, Grace, Robin, Ren, Kayla, and Natalia were all in their own armor, with their weapons. Kai and Riley had their swords. Ren had her hiraikotsu strapped to her back. I remember we used to tease her about her hiraikotsu being just a giant boomerang. Robin had his sickle and chain. Grace had her war hammer, Gideon. Natalia had her bow and arrows, and Kayla had her giant black scythe. Kayla is the only one I know who fights with a scythe. “Alright, let’s get going. We are heading to Rhitta’s Valley.” I called out. ‘One way or another, brother. This ends now.’ I thought as we headed out to the possible battlefield.
