Miss, My Father loves you -
Chapter 49 Shut Daryl Out
Lyman drove his bright yellow sports car to Benjamin's school.
Since his family was part of the board of trustees of the school, the principal even personally welcomed him.
"Sir, it's a pleasure to see you. What can I do for you today?"
The principal was a slightly-fat middle-aged man with small eyes. He was wearing a pair of black framed glasses and suit, which made him look a tad ridiculous. "I'm here for my nephew,"
Lyman answered. "His name is Benjamin Ji."
"Ah, yes."
It wasn't surprising that the principal knew Benjamin. "Then, I'll go and bring him to you," he said quickly.
"That won't be necessary,"
Lyman declined. "I'll go find him myself!"
"I see. If you need any help, please don't hesitate to call me."
"Thanks. You can carry on with your work."
After dismissing the principal, Lyman searched for Benjamin's classroom. But as soon as he reached the door, he bumped into a beautiful teacher.
"Hello, miss. Are you the teacher in charge of this class?" Lyman stared at her, bearing a charming smile.
The teacher blushed. "That's right! Who are you looking for?"
Raising an eyebrow, Lyman asked, "I'm looking for a kid. Miss, who do you think looks like me the most in your class?"
The teacher lowered her head and said in a sheepish voice, "I don't know.
Sir, can you please just tell me his name?"
"I..."
Lyman was just about to tease her when he was interrupted by an innocent but cold voice.
"Miss, I'm the one he's looking for."
The teacher glanced at the child and suddenly noticed the resemblances. "Ah, it's Benjamin!"
"Yep,"
Benjamin answered seriously. "Please excuse me for a moment."
"Go ahead."
The teacher nodded in agreement. Benjamin was a genius, and it wouldn't even be a problem if he skipped classes for an entire semester. "Let's go."
Benjamin glanced at his unreliable uncle. "Uncle Lyman, you have so many girlfriends already. Please stop flirting with my teacher." The female teacher smiled awkwardly before she started walking away.
"Why did you say that, Benjamin?"
Lyman sighed. "I just care about how you're doing in school, so I talked to your teacher about it."
Upon hearing this, Benjamin rolled his eyes and retorted, "Is that so? Then you can go ahead and talk to my teacher. I'm going back." "Hang on!"
Lyman immediately grabbed his collar. "You are truly your father's son. You have the same personality!"
He took the little boy to a quiet corner in the school and they sat down together.
"Benjamin, I'm screwed because of you."
At this point, Lyman sounded more serious. "Tell me, what did you do in the film and television base yesterday?"
When he heard this, Benjamin glared at him and said, "Am I not allowed to be there? My father has invested a lot of money to that film. I'm allowed to see it, okay?" "Of course you can."
Lyman nodded. "You're allowed to go there. However, you have to tell me something. Did you get bullied there? Or did anything else happen while you were there?"
As he was speaking, he let out a deep sigh. "You don't know this yet, but your father has almost cornered your dear uncle."
"Fine,"
Benjamin replied coldly. "Nothing special happened. I just met Aunt Lucy when I went there. She said she is your girlfriend, Uncle Lyman. She also said she saw me at the family banquet." "I see."
Lyman nodded. Lucy did tell him that she saw this little guy in the set.
"And then what happened?"
"Nothing else." Benjamin shrugged. "Do you want something else to happen?"
"So nobody bullied you or tried to do anything bad to you?"
"Who do you think is capable of doing this to me?" Benjamin asked calmly.
After pondering for a moment, Lyman concurred with him. Benjamin was quite fearless. Besides his father, there was no other person in the entirety of D City who could subdue him. "That's really strange. Your father's in a terrible mood recently. Does that mean he just wants to edge me out?"
Lyman murmured to himself in confusion.
"Maybe you're right."
Benjamin nodded his head as if he was telling the truth. "You're right about one thing. Daddy has a really bad temper."
"Alas!"
Lyman felt so depressed. He glanced at his nephew and said, "Listen, can you say something nice about me in front of your father?"
No,1 Benjamin blatantly refused.
At this point, Lyman looked like he was about to cry and kneel in front of the kid. "Kid, have I ever done anything to offend the two of you? If I have, you must tell me. I'll try to change, okay?" Benjamin contemplated for a while. The marriage of his parents wasn't allowed to be announced yet, so he couldn't tell his unlucky uncle that he had done something to offend Daryl.
"Do you have a good relationship with that Aunt Lucy?" Benjamin asked.
"It's not bad," Lyman answered seriously. "Someone bullied her, and I'm going to help her deal with it."
Hearing Lyman's words made Benjamin become vigilant. "Who did it? Who are you going to deal with?" "Someone called Daryl."
Although Lyman wasn't sure why Benjamin asked this, he still answered his question truthfully. "Hey, you don't know this female star. She just came back to the entertainment circle. But as soon as she returned, she's been bullying Lucy!" As he was speaking, Lyman felt a frigid air seeping into his body. He couldn't help but scowl and look around. There was no wind, so why was it so cold?
Just as he was about to yawn, the little boy asked him again,
"So, what are you going to do?"
"I will find someone to replace her!" Lyman answered indifferently. "Why would I let her stay in the entertainment circle? Not only will I replace her, but I'll also make sure that she'll never be a part of the entertainment industry again!" Benjamin shot him a cold glance and said, "Uncle, I had no idea you are so vengeful."
"Of course!"
Lyman snorted proudly. "All of the artists in my company have my protection. If anyone dares to tyrannize any of them, I won't show any mercy."
'Mommy is under Daddy's protection and mine. If Uncle Lyman ever dares to hurt her, I won't spare him!' Benjamin thought.
"Oh, my. Why did I tell you this?"
Scratching his head, Lyman came to his senses. He felt that something was amiss.
