Chapter 52 Sign With Huangfu Entertainment

Zack turned to look at Daryl. He also wanted to know who the newcomer beside her was.

"Oh! She is my new assistant, Ann."

With her eyes wide open, Daryl cast a mysterious look at Benjamin and asked, "Do you know how she's become my assistant?"

Her tone and mysterious expression gave people a sense of horror. It was no wonder that Daryl had won the Best Actress Award. "How?" Benjamin asked as he cupped his chin and looked at her in surprise.

He was playing along.

"I can tell you, but you can't tell anyone else about it."

Then, Daryl whispered in his ear, "She was sent to me by Huangfu Entertainment's CEO."

"What? Really?" Surprised and disbelief were painted on Benjamin's face as he looked at her.

"Yes!" Daryl nodded.

The mother and son were talking happily, but Zac was furious as the two of them completely ignored him.

'Daryl and Benjamin are talking something behind my back! I can't believe it!' he thought.

"Daddy, let me tell you something!" Upon seeing his father's livid expression, Benjamin decided to tell him what Daryl had told him. The little boy was just as exaggerated as Daryl.

"Do you want to know how Mommy got her new assistant? She's a gift from the CEO of Huangfu Entertainment!"

Zack couldn't help but grind his teeth.

'Is Benjamin really my son? Why is he acting like an idiot?

But then again, why did Lyman suddenly become so kind to Daryl?'

As he thought of this, he glanced at his son.

Pretending not to see his father's suspicious stare, Benjamin continued, "Mommy, why did he do that? Did you sign a contract with him?"

"Not yet."

Daryl shook her head and stretched out a slender hand to support her chin. She thought for a moment before stating, "Sofia said I should consider signing a contract with their company, and he also gave me a caravan!" "Really?"

Benjamin beamed as he touched his chin again. He didn't expect his uncle to be so considerate.

Now, Zack was one hundred percent sure that Lyman knew something. So, he took out his phone and began to question several people about it.

It wasn't hard for him to find out that Lyman had indeed gone to Benjamin. He guessed that Benjamin must have told Lyman to treat Daryl well.

Daryl signing a contract with Huangfu Entertainment wasn't a terrible idea, so Zack made peace with the fact that Lyman gave her a caravan. Their car soon arrived at a high-end Japanese restaurant.

The shop manager personally came out to welcome them and led them to sit in a comfortable private room.

"Yeah! Mommy, you can order the dishes for us."

With the menu in his tiny hands, Benjamin approached Daryl. "Mommy, what do you like to eat?"

Studying the menu, Daryl thought about the dishes that Leon often ate.

It only took her one second to quickly remove those thoughts from her mind, and then she told him her favorite food.

Zack ended up ordering a variety of dishes. He wasn't a fan of Japanese food and usually preferred Chinese and Western meals.

During the meal, Daryl and Benjamin also ate a lot.

Only then did she feel how incredible it was to have someone to care about her.

"Mommy, I'm so full."

Rubbing his round belly, Benjamin let out a small burp. When the family returned inside the car, he lay on her lap to rest.

Daryl patted his little head and gently muttered, "Good boy. You can take a walk when we get back." Benjamin rubbed her warm palm again and said, "Okay. Mommy, you rubbed my temples last time. It felt so nice. Can you give me another massage?" Daryl smiled. "Of course."

She stretched out her slender fingers. She wrapped them around the little guy's temples, gently and carefully massaging him.

The little boy closed his eyes contentedly.

On the other side, Zack was quite upset as he watched the scene.

'What's wrong with him? That boy is so naughty at such a young age for knowing this crap!'

Due to the vehicle's steady pace and his mother's warmth, it didn't take long for Benjamin to fall asleep.

When they arrived home, Daryl looked up at the man opposite her with a pleading expression.

Immediately, Zack understood what she meant and begrudgingly picked up the little boy.

"Mommy, Daddy..."

Half asleep, Benjamin found a comfortable position in his father's arms. He fell into deep a slumber once again.

Gingerly, Zack carried his son into his room and tucked him into bed.

When he went out of the boy's room, he saw Daryl standing near the door. It seemed that she had no intention of going in; she was just waiting for him.

Zack looked at her from head to toe, observing. "What's up?" he asked in a cold voice. "Hmm..." Nodding slightly, Daryl couldn't help but bite her lip. She fidgeted as she thought for a while before she finally admitted, "Well, I want to sign with Huang Entertainment. What do you think?"

'So, it's true.'

A hint of shyness actually flashed through Zack's eyes. "Okay, but there is a condition."

"Hmm?"

Daryl knew it!

"Well, what's the condition?" Peering at him innocently, she hoped that he wouldn't make an unreasonable request.

Shrugging, he answered, "I haven't decided yet.

You owe me one."

"Oh, I see."

Daryl counted in her mind and realized she still owed him two favors. She fought back a sigh. How she wished that he would just forget those favors.

Lost in thought, she blinked when she heard the man calling out to her in a low voice.

"Daryl."

"What?" Confused, she looked up at him.

"Have you forgotten what you promised last night?"

Zack stretched out one of his long arms and pressed it against the door frame behind her. His dark orbs eyed her slender figure.

"Last night?" Daryl looked at him blankly, lost in her memory.

What on earth did she say last night? 'Oh, I need to give him a kiss before going to bed every night.'

Daryl's face turned beet red. Quickly, she lowered her eyes to avoid his intense gaze.

"So, I take it that you finally remember then?"

Zack bent down to get closer to her; she felt his breath on her skin as he spoke. His voice was low and magnetic, the kind of voice that most people would fantasize about.
